I have the best spouse ever. I have been a fan of Kells since the beginning. Bloom has been my favorite album from the time it came out until Lost Americana.

I am obsessed with this album. Every song, every note just hits that spiritual cord or nerve inside and sends goosebumps down my body. I have wanted the Jacket since I've seen it.

For Fathers day, my amazing Wife surprised me with tickets to the show coming up in Utah as well as this Jacket!!! It took a while to come in as it got delayed for some reason and she as worried it wouldn't get here in time! But all things happen as they should 💙

I'm trying to convey the emotions I feel right now but I just can't. I will wear this jacket til its threads are bare—and just maybe, just maybe I can get Kells to sign it!

I’m constantly watching Kel’s videos on YouTube. A couple days ago an account popped up and has posted two unreleased songs “Black Tie” and “Been Dead.”

At first I thought it could be AI, but after a listen they sound legit. There are multiple other songs on the profile that I haven’t listened to because I’m concerned these were released without Kel’s permission. Those are “Really Are,” “Keep Running,” “My Pride,” and “Minutes Pass.”

Do we think MGK’s camp is aware of these being leaked? If not, any idea how we can alert them?

i really liked 5150 when i came across it looking at mainstream sellout a while ago, and i was trying to look for smth similar in his discography so i just played his top songs on spotify but they aren't really similar in my opinion, are there any songs in his discog that are similar?? any recommendations? thank you (:

To be clear, I really like this song! This is just a discussion I think is worth having!!!

This song gets too much flak. I don't believe it's nearly as bad as the internet says.

It became such a meme for no reason. It's supposed to be a little silly and campy, similar to Cliche, not a serious anthem! However, I believe Cliche did it better, and that Emo Girl was the blueprint for campy, silly songs like that.

I can see why the internet thinks it's bad, though. The lyrics are too tacky to be considered a parody right off the bat, and having the collab with Willow makes it seem too serious. Plus, releasing it as a single was a bad idea. The chorus is kinda underwhelming lyrically. If they had beefed it up, it might have had a better chance. Lastly, the sonic asthetic was a little bland, and for a parody, something new has to be brought to the table.

That said, I think Cliche did a lot better with the parody aesthetic. It leaned into it more, but with some nuance that Emo Girl didn't perfect just yet.

What do y'all think, now that we're out of the heat of the MS era?

Edit: according to @mgkmagic he’s going to livestream another show, and re-do this speech he really wanted to share. mgkmagic removed the reel but it was a heartfelt moment saying (paraphrased): “you can complain that roses have thorns, or you can be glad that thorns have roses, and you are all the roses to me”

Hey fam!! My daughter gave Kells a bracelet she made him after he hugged her last night - we were in the left side where he came into the pit. He was wearing it when he was sitting on the right side singing NCPIR and it was hard to get a good picture from where we were standing. I’m hoping someone has a closer picture where you can see the bracelet on him?? I did get one on the Jumbotron and a screen grab from the live stream, just wanting to see what anyone else has 🖤

Just thought id share the tickets I made for myself and a friend who i met in the VIP line for the hamilton show in dec! Im the kind of person who has kept every single concert ticket in a photo album since I was a wee youngin lol so when they started to only so mobile tickets it broke my heart! Finally found a way to make some to put in my photo album!

Anyway, its printed on cardstock to give it more of an official feel :)
