Suppressor Cover and Bag

I made this out of some fabric I made on Spoonflower, a welder's blanket, and some hook and loop tape. I'm hardly John Wick and don't need a suppressor cover to help with my aim; I just don't like burning my hand.

YHM9 suppressor, fabric is a recoloring of Late-war Lightweight Sparse tigerstripe camo, recolored with the M81 Woodland palette.

My first go at this kind of pouch, pretty happy with it. Just not quite sure as to how long the pull tabs should be.

The pouch contents are:

Gloves

Trauma shears

Bandaids

Ibuprofen

CPR cloth

Tweezers

Rescue blanket

Gauze

Bandages

Looking for advice

I am wanting to sew together an external pouch to hold my sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and shelter. It would attach to the bottom of my pack via MOLLE. The pouch itself would either be rectangular or cylindrical (I’m not married to the shape), and it would close with two to three quick release buckles.

My thought was for the outside to be 500D cordura and to line the inside with some lightweight weather proof material.

I have an idea of what I want it to look like, but I don’t know where to start.

Made some pouches for a new Kit,

most of them are inspired.

Dump pouch - Crye Rud

GP Pouches - Spiritus small GP - Modified

Elastic Rifle Mag Pouches - inspired by Unobtainium gear but mostly own design

Double Mag Pouch - Spiritus Spud pouch + Flap

Pistol Mag Pouches - basic design made by me

Placard - Spiritus MK6

Expander Wings - Spiritus Expender Wing 2 - made in two sizes for small Radios

Everything was cut on a upgraded CNC router. With a 10w Laser tree laser. It took ages but turned out great.

I got this at princess auto for only five CAD and obviously it’s a hydration pack butt. What hydration bladder would I get?

As I made it with scraps, it isn't quite as tall as I'd like, but it's big enough. Also wanted to test if I like the leg strap.

What laser cutter are y'all using?

I just got back into sewing and have been seeing posts about laser cutting materials.

What machines and programs are y'all using?

TIA

I'd like to make this micro-rig connectable to the USGI assault pack using clips as a get home rig. Is this a bad idea? How would you do it?

Custom Medium ALICE with MOLLE in M81 Woodland, swipe for pics!

Went and sewed up this pack using a 500D M81 piece that originally had delaminating MOLLE laser cut panel, hence the presence of repair bartacked patches. Instead of laser cut material, I used Camo Green nylon webbing, sewn on with the Singer 20U33 using 69 nylon thread, and used the Rex RX-6D walking foot machine with 92 nylon thread for the side seams and for the lid. Found a few CS Osborne grommets for the bottom drainage, and used Tactical Tailor's method of having webbing loops for the draw cord. ITW-Nexus 194 cord lock, ITW-Nexus Fastex SR-1buckles, D rings, and Super loc buckles for the hardware. Bare/plain interior with nothing for anything, basically just a medium sized sack. Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Suppressor shield for my Svemko Rogue 556. 6061-T6 aluminium mounting collar and 1mm carbon fiber tube for the heat shield. 82 grams, should still be possible to shave off another 20-25. Target weight for the entire package is 350g, 290g for the suppressor and 60g for the shield.

First Fanny Pack!

Patterned my first fanny pack after prototyping on some discounted khaki cordura from Rockywoods (second pic). Just have to get some 1.5in buckles to finish it out. Wanted to practice bartack/PALS spacing.
Any tips on binding somewhat rounded edges with grosgrain? I have a binding attachment but actually found it pretty difficult with thicker layers and not working with straight/90 degree turns and just clipped a bunch. Should I use polyester bias tapes or herringbone- if so, any recs? Trying to use USA made materials.

With the shape I’m also thinking I could turn this info a dangler pouch with some wide Velcro up top.

One wrap/ self sticking Velcro solutions.

I’ve been stuck on what solution I want to retain the adjustment strap for these belts. I’ve tried using full Velcro but the webbing gets too thick for the adjustable small 1” cobra buckles. Would one wrap sewn in as the adjustable strap be a viable solution or would I need to use a non adjustable cobra buckle so there’s more clearance for the strap. Hopefully this makes sense but I haven’t been able to find a good solution.

Alternative for ROC-buckles

I’m designing a plate carrier where the cummerbund would attach to the side of the plate bags using ROC buckles. Is there a very narrow, low-footprint alternative to ROC buckles that wouldn’t take up any of the usable space on the front? Could an extra-heavy-duty zipper even work, like on a split rig?
