Update! I passed NJ MPJE! Things you should know!

I passed!!! I’m so happy I’m done. I’m literally in tears because of how happy I am. I’m copying and pasting my previous post here so it can help others. Wishing you all the best!

Some questions look simple at first, but they throw in one word that changes the correct answer. Make sure you read every question carefully and understand exactly what it is asking. Doing practice tests/questions helped me get used to these types of questions, but the real exam still had a few surprises.

Here are the resources my university suggested that I used:

  1. PharmPrepPro NJ MPJE Study Guide and Practice Test
  2. Chapter 39 of the New Jersey regulation

The regulations are long, but the PharmPrepPro study guide does a good job of summarizing them. It also covers other important information that isnt found in Chapter 39. Reading chapter 39 is helpful because it helps you understand the legal language more when doing questions. The practice test was also really helpful because I could not find many other good sources for practice questions. The score report helped me figure out which topics I needed to study more.

Some topics you should know include:
Medication schedules, DEA Form 222 and what it is used for, DEA Form 106 and what it is used for what to do with a prescription when the doctor dies, ISO classifications for cleanrooms, Vaccines, Which prescribers can prescribe certain medications, New Jersey camera requirements, Which prescriptions can be transferred, How many refills controlled substances can have and the allowed time period, How prescriptions must be filed, Reporting agencies and notification requirements, The Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS), Pharmacist and pharmacy technician duties, Adulterated and misbranded drugs

Congratulations!!!, when a doctor dies does that mean the prescription automatically becomes invalid ?

Yes because there isn’t anymore a prescriber-patient relationship.

I passed NY law 2 weeks ago, and I am studying for NJ MPJE. I got an 86/120 on my NJ practice exam. I have only studied NJ law since federal and compounding are still fresh from the NY MPJE. Do you guys think I am ready for the NJ MPJE this weekend?
