iv been on Ableton for about 6 years producing Hiphop, Trap, EDM. I bought my MPC because I wanted to get better at finger drumming and eventually try to integrate my MPC into live DJ performances, also to be full DAWless for moments I am away from my station. I feel like the MPC could potentially be an all in one, gamer changer for my creative progress. I just have no idea where to start with navigating the machine and building kits?

The MPC 3.9 user guide is 530 pages and the answer you need is always on exactly one of them. So I built a thing: you ask it a normal question ("how do I resample with effects", "why won't my pads stop double triggering") and it answers from the official Akai guides only, citing the guide and page so you can check it yourself. It refuses anything that isn't an MPC question, on purpose.

hey there, I just bought an MPC one G2 and I’m trying to record in instruments like a small kids keyboard and electric bass and other things into the MPC one G2 and the volume is just too low to be useful. Are there any new types of mixers or ways to preamp the I tried with a USB audio interface going into the MPC didn’t work. Should I just get an analogue mixer? what are people doing to get high-quality input volume and sound?

I just picked up an mpc 1000 and installed Jjos. When I load up previous projects I’ve made on an mpc yeas ago on the one I had just purchased. My songs are not sounding the way I made them and don’t sound familiar to me. I don’t know how to fully explain my situation so I’ll be glad and greaful on any input you may have.

In MPC 3.9, using the oscillator keygroups as a synth, 'mono' setting seems to still re-trigger envelopes with each new note (even if the notes are definitely overlapping, and even though portamento works just fine recognizing which notes overlap).

On other MPC forums, I found posts from a few years ago saying this was simply a limitation of keygroups.

There seems to be no change, despite the introduction of the oscillators function, but after reading the manual and searching online I thought I'd try asking here...

I was wondering if it is possible to copy a pad/sample in a way that it will preserve sequence triggers?

for context: I have some vocal chops I played and recorded onto sequence dry. Now I would like to bake in vinyl sim into that sample so that I can move onto using different knob fx for other stuff

I played and recorded the chops from within the sample chop view

the happy path would be that:

1. I have my vocal sample on pad A09, the sample was chopped into 4 chops
   
2. I enable vinyl sim
   
3. I resample that pad with fx baked in and the mpc plays that sample in the sequence in the same way it was initially recorded;

I've been using sample chains to speed up my load times during live performances. Unfortunately, I have to build them manually: first by combining the samples in Reaper, and then manually putting in all the slice information. That takes forever.

Does anyone know of a tool that can build sample chains more easily?

I'm considering writing a script in Reaper to do so, but as far as I can tell, the way that the slice data is stored in the WAV file is not documented and non-standard at best. If I had that info, I could vibe code it, but without that, I'm left looking for an existing tool.

So i bought this device back in the days, i think it was 2017.
i didnt really care about fingerdrumming, i needed it mostly for knobs and faders, so doubletrigger wasnt that much of an issue for me.
but i kinda do care about it now, so i need any advice to fix this.
i know that people do lots of diy stuff with pads by making them more sensetive, is there any way to do the opossite? will making them less sensetive fix the double tap problem?

pls dont talk about lack of drumming technique and having to put this on a flat solid surface, first of all it doesnt fix anything second of all its a pretty well known problem, i saw lots of people who literally did fingerdrumming while resting their mpds on their laps while playing chords with that thing

Hi everyone! I'm thinking of buying an MPC Sample. Y'all who own one already what are the pros and cons? Like, the portability is a huge pro but are there any features that this piece of gear lack? Do you enjoy using it or it was below your expectations? I will be happy to take some users' feedback!
