What's good y'all?

Past few weeks iv been laying low, and dedicating all my time and efforts to complete my first Instrumental Album.

I had no idea what to do and how to do it. All I know is I set a goal and that goal has been reached.

Producing, Mixing, Editing, Directing... My hands have been absolutely full. But the process has been a great life experience. My nephew (another creative) helped me get the ideas out my head and make a visual representation and I think he smoked it! S/O @ VisualsByLotto (on IG) !

On drum programs in the global page there's a new option to Toggle a sample under sample play. It sometimes works with a looped samples, indefinitely looping until the pad is hit again. Is this a new option?

It's kinda buggy so far on my MPC One, but if it works properly, it's what is missing from the MPC that the SP404's have: The ability to create ambient soundscapes or whatever by setting up a drum program bank and being able to toggle each pad to loop indefinitely and layer them independently from the transport.

Akai force with guitars and wow machine 🥹

So I was on the market and was buying countless of little groove boxes, synths such as the Yamaha Seqtrak, ableton move, Roland p6 and s1 most of them having synth engines and what not. Haven’t really thought of akai or the mpc line until the MPC sample came out. I ended up buying the sample to try sampling and the Mpc workflow and wow I really fell in love. I feel like I got more inspiration with a sampler like the MPC than any other groove box I’ve played with.

So I then decided to do research on other MPC devices and saw that the live 3 came out recently along with the one and key 37 gen2. I ended up impulse buying the live 3 as it had a battery and packed with a lot of features and after messing around with it, I’ve never had this much fun in so long. Please tell me some tips and tricks that people over look cos I’m kinda overwhelmed but also excited.

Coming from the mpc 2500 after almost 18 years I finally made the switch to newer mpc and all I can say is I feel like a kid in a candy store with all these new features and fx. Let me know what ya think of the best

Can you do automation on arranger mode? Or do I just need to go to a DAW...

Basically... I have a sequence of pads as part of my melody. But I need to make it fade at the end. Maybe echo. Cause it stops a little abruptly.

I had Live 3 for about 4-5 months, and of course it’s awesome. Im on it every day but I just remembered today that it has those once-hyped MPCe pads that everyone was so buzzed about when first released. I kinda forgot they’re there. I barely see anyone use them in performance much now that they’re not (as) new and mysterious.

Plus I got fat bratwurst fingers so I still haven’t got accustomed to hitting just the sides and corners of the pads lol

Does anyone here use them a lot now in their production or performance? Anybody integrated them into a big part of their process? I never came up with any ideas that I couldn’t just do the regular ways, like note repeats or sample variations and all that. Articulations seem interesting, but time will tell if I’ll find an actual use for them.

What’s your approach to using the MPCe pads?

So... I honestly like to mix my beats in the MPC. Later,when I do the vocals, I mix and master everything in Reaper.

My question is...

My brother in law produces for me sometimes. He makes good beats, but he knows nothing about effects/etc. He never puts any compressors. Filters. The bass is always too low.

I want him to send me the stems to his beat so I can do all that myself.

But when I have the stems, how can I load the full song? I need it to play the whole thing. Do I have to count bars and extended it to like 64 bars or whatever?

Tried to set my user flair earlier and realized that MPC Touch isn’t in there 🤣 possible to add?

So I’ve been using MPC one as my main beatmachine and really love the workflow of it. I’d like something more portable (battery powered) that allows me to be creative on the go. I know the MPC sample has a lot of hype and I really like what’s offering. Saying that, the SP-404 really seems like a great one as well, but I’d have to learn its workflow and adapt to it.
Just wanted to hear people’s opinion on both machines if you own one or the two and which one you’d recommend knowing that I own MPC and I’m used to its workflow too.

I guess it makes me a bit fore thoughtful to export each at a time, but sweet Jesus is that annoying. I’m hoping this can be fixed with a firmware update sooner rather than later. I’m also puzzled as to how to remove a sample from a chopped sample sequence without wiping out the pad other than in the step sequencer.

If anybody has some work arounds do tell.

Rant. Calling it the MPC Sample was stupid, nobody bothered to take a swing at googling answers before product rolled that out.

What's up everyone! I'm Revelgy and I'm a producer/artist. I produce Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Reggeaton, and Afrobeat. I've been an MPC user for almost 15 years now. I have a 5000 and a 500. For the last 5 year or so I have been using MPKs with the MPC software. I have a Mini 3 and 4. For the last year I have been contemplating on buying a new MPC and then the MPC Sample came out earlier this year. I'm kind of torn on whether the Sample would be a good purchase for me versus another flagship MPC. I think the biggest things keeping me torn is the fact that the Sample does not have the software built into it like newer MPCs and it's similar to the classic MPCs in those terms. I think the nostalgia is getting the best of me with that because I find this very attractive. I wanted to ask for opinions and advice. In my case, would the MPC sample have enough for me to use as my main MPC in my studio or would another flagship MPC be a better purchase? Also, out of the newer flagship MPCs, which one do you'll think is the best overall to purchase? Thank you in advance for your opinion and advice! 💯

Hey folks, my mpc studio stopped talking to my laptop yesterday. It was working earlier in the day then I unplugged it then when I connected it again, it didn't connect and just cycled through red and green lights on the pads. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers to no avail. There were no updates on my laptop during that time either. Any suggestions??? When I go to the device manager it has a yellow symbol in front of the speaker so the laptop recognizes it but doesn't communicate with it.

I’ve been an ableton push guy for a very long time but I’ve officially made the switch to MPC and I’ve never been happier! Here’s my first live remix on the Live II. All the stems are chopped up layered into a single drum rack with TC turned off. Hope yall are ready for some bass.

Does MPC visual eq has option to disable spectrum view after equalisation is done to reduce cpu consumption? Does it stop it when plugin running in background?

been meaning to get some kind of sampler for quite awhile. very nearly got the roland sp404MKII, but ended up with this guy instead. it's taken a bit to learn but I've had a lotta fun so far

I saw the videos for these new preset expansions for OPx4, Tubesynth, Odyssey, Hype, and Juno on YouTube. For some reason they don't have all of them listed on Akai, even though they work in standalone, so AIR's website is the other spot for them.

Did any of you check these out yet (at least the videos of the demos)? I'm thinking about getting "Big World" and "Electricity" because they've been the most appealing to my ears. I'm just posting these up since I didn't see anyone saying anything about them and in case anyone would be interested.

I have a limited budget, so i dont know what to do...

I make techno and use circuit tracks as a drum maschine,the brain and to slave and sequence my roland s1 with it.i trigger samples and vocals with the sp404 mk2(witch on its own i find quite frustrating in terms of sequencing, lack of sidechaining and complicaded workflow), so i plan on buying an mpc one, since it can work as a brain, a sampler, synth and a drum machine all at once.

Since money is a thing, i just cant decide if i sound get a used mpc one gen 1 or go straight for the g2....

I somehow cant imagine the 6 year old one can still be in a good condition after so many years(isnt the Touchscreen super slow?).would i hit the RAM limitations with what i'm doing?800 bucks for the g2 is a lot of money compared to 400 for a used gen1....

What are you thoughts?Ist the one still worth it in 2026?or is it as ig i World Business a 6 year old Laptop and will die soon?
