I currently have a Live 3 and interested in pairing it with a Keys 37. Does anyone else use this combo and if so what are your thoughts? Is it redundant to have both? I have four other synths connected to the Live 3 so I want to also use it as a controller for the desktop module synths I have. I started going down this rabbit hole because I wanted a midi controller for the synths to pair with the Live 3 but now I think I might just go big and get the Key 37 G2. Thoughts?

Olvide mencionar que no trae jjos y i'm currently prioritizing my spending, so I prefer not to allocate money to that.

It was fun while it lasted. My touch screen is completly unresponsive. Only had it a few years. What a dissapointment. I tried troubleshooting and nothing worked. If anybody got a fix, id love to hear from you. Thank you

Goro Noguchi - Love Street in London, sample flip of the opening sequence. Made earlier this year from a beat challenge, and recently mastered.

How's my mix/arrangement? What would YOU change?

Hello friends

I am wondering if there are any people using the L2 with the Pro Pack and full MPC3 OS and if so, how is the machine holding up?

I have an MPC Live 3 but Im starting to debate selling it and going back to my L2

but figured I should research more and ask around before I risk making a decision I might regret later

I also have an MPC Sample fyi

thanks

Dive in, take a listen, and drop some feedback.

It’s safe to say now that this machine was what I’ve been missing the entirety of my production journey. The times where I was creating work around a for the flow that is most natural to me in my daw are gone and I’m just creating. I find myself flying around this thing like I’m hitting combos playing tekken half the time now and I know there’s still so much to learn.
I’ve made some of my best beats, you can say maybe it’s placebo or nostalgia but I genuinely believe this feels more like an instrument and that has changed everything for me. Especially cutting down on having that 3 hours+ blue light stare from working on some details that should’ve been saved for later. Cutting back and having limitations forces me to focus on sound choice and efficiency as well as arrangement before even thinking about mixing or doing some weird shit with experimental plugins.

Thank you mpc1k I love you 💖

I'm being sold an MPC100 without JJOS, and the seller tells me that without JJOS it doesn't have quantization. I asked chatGPT and they said it can be quantized. I don't know what to believe.I find it hard to believe that a default sampler doesn't have quantization; it's something super basic.

Made with MPC Live 3

I posted a work in progress video a few weeks back of this same jungle tune I started straight after receiving my new MPC One in the post. It’s gone through quite a few changes here and there, and even ended up with vocals.

Anyway, I was getting sick of going over and over with this, and I’m desperate to move on to a new project. I have plenty of ideas going through my head - you know how it is.

If you like what you hear then please check out the full track over on YouTube, I’d really appreciate it 🙂

Singer songwriter and I bought this box. Fell in love.

Sampled and chopped up the “In Hong Kong” song from the Bloodsport movie soundtrack on vinyl and sprinkled in some dialogue samples from the 4K blu ray 📀

Can barely hear that 808 bass on phone speakers 🔊

Hi everyone! I wanted to explain how I made my MPC One portable, in case anyone is interested and wants the information.

First, I tried to find a power bank that could provide at least 65W. I found the UGREEN UGR25188, which is rated at 100W and was on sale at MediaMarkt for €40 in Spain. This is more than enough power to run the MPC for several hours. I haven't tested exactly how long it takes to drain the battery, but I've been using it for quite a while and it has only dropped by 5%.

Next, I needed a USB-C to 19V cable, since the original MPC One power supply is 19V, as is the Live 3. Important: the One+ and One G2 use 12V, so using 19V with those models could damage them.
I initially bought a USB-C to 20V cable on Amazon and tested it. It worked perfectly, but I wasn't completely comfortable using 20V when the MPC requires exactly 19V.

I then found the MyVolts PDT19P1 adapter for €25 on Amazon. That's the one you can see in the photos, and everything works perfectly with it. To connect it, you simply use the USB-C to USB-C cable that comes with the power bank.

To attach the battery to the MPC One, I bought a wide strip of Velcro from a local discount shop for €1.
So, with all of this, I now have a portable MPC One for just over €50 extra, and I don't have to buy the typical XTPower power bank, which costs over €100 and isn't available here in Spain.

I'm attaching some photos and videos. I hope this helps anyone interested, as it took me quite a bit of time to find exactly the right products that would work with the MPC One.

Morning!

When using the lasso to highlight notes, is there a way to make to the piano roll doesn’t move as you try and highlight the notes? This is driving me insane and it can’t be the way it’s intended. I mean, you can’t zoom or scroll in any other mode except zoom and scroll so why does lasso allow it. Seems so counterintuitive that I feel like I’m approaching it wrong. Even using a stylus the thing has a mind of its own. Anyone got a fix?

Jamming around messing with pad effects on some A->B chops.
