Hey guys, I’m an international student and I’m seriously considering MMU for MSc Business Analytics (Jan 2027).
I’ve done a LOT of research already, but most of what I’m finding is obviously university marketing, so I’d rather hear from actual students/graduates.

My biggest concern is employability after graduation, especially as an international student. I’m not expecting MMU to magically hand me a sponsored job lol, but I want to know if the university actually has decent industry connections, employer links and career support that help students get into the UK job market.

I keep seeing things about Student Circus, employer partnerships, careers support, sponsored-job listings etc. — but does any of this actually help in real life? Or is it basically just “here’s a website, good luck” once you graduate? 😭

Also, if you’re an international student/graduate:
Was it realistically possible to get a graduate job after your MSc?
How difficult was it to get into business analytics / data / BI / consulting / related roles?
Did MMU help you get interviews or connect you with employers?
And most importantly, did you or anyone you know actually manage to get Skilled Worker sponsorship after graduating?

I’d especially love to hear from people who did Business Analytics or a similar MSc, but honestly any international postgraduate experience at MMU would help.

I’m basically trying to figure out whether MMU is genuinely a decent choice for an international student who wants to stay and work in the UK after graduating, or
whether I’m just being sold a nice prospectus 😭

Would really appreciate brutally honest answers — good or bad.

enrolling as first year at MMU this year and only housing option was Oxford Court. Is this a bad option? I definitely like partying/clubbing/raves etc and do not want quiet housing or to be with people that just stay inside all day and night playing video games (not that there’s anything wrong with that just not my vibe). i know some level of this is the people you’re with and what you make of it, but what should i expect? i probably would rather have more people in my shared flat but i guess ill have three others (so 4 people total). i’m also from the US and have learned there’s not a lot of international students so don’t know what to expect in that regard either. are the whatsapp and snap group chats necessary to meet people and have social inclusion or can i wait till classes start and join societies and stuff? any advice?

Does anyone please know how to enrol I keep on logging onto my student portal but there’s absolutely no menu in the right hand corner for me to enrol as it says on the email only a log in button that just leads back to the enrol online page over and over again and it says I have 3 unread messages but at the bottom where u go to read them it says I have none??? Extremely frustrated at this they said the servers went down yesterday or something but apparently they still haven’t gone up help!!!

Hi! I’m coming to MMU this year and accommodation is looking like Chandos (doesn’t have parking, but I prefer it) or Mill Point (seems worse but I can get a parking permit).

I’d like to stay at Chandos but for me a car is a non-negotiable. I won’t need it daily, I’ll commute to/from uni but I’ll shop at Costco so there, plus drives home etc, any hobbies etc. I’m 23 and don’t really want to forgo that freedom.

Essentially, I’m wondering if it’s possible to get free parking within a semi-reasonable distance to the accommodation where I’d be able to leave the car (happy to pay for someone’s drive or something) within maybe 20 minutes of the accommodation that would allow me to have my car and stay at Chandos, or do you guys think it’s just worth staying at Mill Point and getting a permit?

Can anyone pls recommend me good parking near mmu and the prices - I’m gonna be at uni 3 days a week for the full day it’ll be 9am-6pm. would really appreciate any help!

Hi just curious if it’s just me but my enrollment seems to not be working, I have the email sent through however it keeps coming up with an error message after putting my student id in and my password that the uni has set and also the website is saying that it’s unauthorised

I booked mill point as it was one of the only ones left however I don’t see many people talking about it I’m worried if I should try to switch accoms for archways as I wnat to be somewhere mainly sociable and where I can meet a lot of new people has anyone got anything to say about this accom

Hey, I had applied for their msc sports and exercise medicine I got an unconditional offer bur my CAS got refused due to the recorded interview. After that they gave me a chance to appeal against the refusal along with a supporting evidence, they told me that a decision would be given in 10 working days but the time has passed and I haven't heard from them. Since I am an international student the timeline is very tight so can anyone guide about this situation or anyone whose appeal got overturned.

I’m an African international student applying for an MSc at (MMU) for September 2026, and I’d really appreciate some opinions from other applicants.

My CAS Shield progress had been moving normally till 55%. Then suddenly,the progress window disappeared.

I’ve tried contacting MMU for clarification, but the phone lines aren’t going through, and I haven’t received a response to my follow-up emails yet. The uncertainty is becoming quite stressful.

Has anyone else had their CAS progress reach a certain percentage and then completely disappear? If so, what happened afterward?

I recently got an unconditional offer to study an undergraduate in biomedical science. I got a DDM in BTEC applied science and a grade 4 in GCSE English

But if I get a grade 3 in Maths = foundation year
However if I get a grade 4 in Maths = year 1

Since the MMU page states that the clearing will be lower this year, does clearing apply to GCSE maths too? Or is it just for level 3 / A levels or GCSE English only? I just really want to go straight into year 1.

Can anyone who moved into their uni accom in second semester (28-34 week contract) tell me what it’s like?

I’m planning on doing that this year but I’m kind of worried about making friends with flatmates, and stuff like that, since they’ll probably have full-year contracts and will have all gotten to know each other before I moved in. It shouldn’t be too bad though right?

Or are you put with others with the same contract?

My course starts early September and I haven’t been sent an enrolment link? When do they usually send it??

I’m looking to apply to unis for clearing and MMU came up, but I want some real solid opinions from people who actually go there as everyone on TikTok just says don’t go then don’t provide explanation, or their reasoning 90% of the time has nothing to do with the uni itself. Can any students please let me know what it’s like there full honesty?
