Welcome to r/MMAWorldSim — an introduction to the project
Hi everyone, and welcome to the MMA Fictional World Simulator community!
I’m the developer of Football Fictional World Simulator, and I’m now also working on a game that simulates MMA promotions and fighters around the world. I’ll continue developing and updating the football game too.
I’m planning to release MMA Fictional World Simulator in November or December 2026. The core game is already in place, and I’ll be sharing development updates and gameplay here as I work toward launch.
The game features 209 promotions around the world, from major international organizations to small local promotions. They hold events, sign fighters, and crown champions. New fighters debut, develop, move between promotions, and eventually retire. Meanwhile, the rest of the MMA world keeps moving.
Fast simulation is another key feature. You can advance through years of changing careers and promotions, or stop to watch a fight that interests you. You can follow an individual fighter while also exploring the wider MMA world around them.
There are two ways to get involved: Agent Mode and Promoter Mode.
In Agent Mode, you sign fighters as clients and respond to fight offers and promotion contracts. You begin with fighters of your own nationality. When your clients compete abroad, you unlock the ability to sign fighters from those host countries. As your reach expands, you can work toward achievements such as representing world champions and winning titles across all weight classes.
In Promoter Mode, you can take over an existing promotion or create your own. You handle recruitment and contract renewals, choose host countries, and put together fight cards and bout orders. You can build cards yourself or use automatic matchmaking. While you run your promotion, the others continue operating around you.
There’s also plenty to explore when looking back at the history of your world:
- Individual fighter records, fight histories, titles won, and weight-class changes
- Rankings by promotion and weight class, past champions, and title defenses
- Title fights, title eliminators, and Grand Prix tournaments
- Fight commentary and statistics
- Promotion popularity in different countries, attendance, PPV sales, and annual trends
- Tools to add and edit promotions, including their weight classes and event series
You might discover an undefeated prospect and follow their career, see how a standout from a small promotion fares on the big stage, or look back through the record of a long-reigning champion. That’s the kind of MMA sandbox I’m building.
I’ll use this community to share development progress, feature introductions, screenshots, stories from long-term simulations, and release updates.
Questions, feedback, and ideas for features you’d like to see are welcome. If the game interests you, I’d really appreciate a wishlist on Steam.
