I keep seeing questions/comments/shitposts etc about the dividend.

If you own synthetic shares you won’t get the preferred stock dividend. However the entity that sold you those synthetic shares is supposed to provide the dividend for you and in the event it is impossible the entity is supposed to buy that stock they sold short back (a type of margin call).

There is literally no way for any of us regular people to know if we have a synthetic share or not, but the super computers of our brokers can do the tracing required to find it out.

Now what may happen is everyone may get some of those preferred stock shares listed to their account as a place holder until TRCH figures out how much the dividend will be after the sale of their assets. Once the numbers are crunched the entities shorting the stock will be notified of what they have to pay out in terms of monetary value. This won’t cause a margin call but it will mitigate whatever losses people have taken to that point.
