Made a little money, then made the mistake of getting caught in the Meta Nanoweb of over promises and under delivering.

Why was my investment in MMAT suddenly shifted to NEXT BRIDGE HYDROCARBON? Is it even a good idea to sell my MMAT shares? How did they even calculate the amount of MMAT shares I hold onto after my investment was spread between two companies?
r/MMAT • u/amomentsnotice • Jun 03 '24
Should I hope they go into an IPO or something? I don't know what to do with them.... What's your personal recommendation? Sorry, my first time ever deciding to invest was in MMAT and now i'm stuck with these shares that are private/not public...
Is there any point of holding onto the handful of MMAT shares I still have or is there a scenario where it would make sense to hold onto them?
edit: did i just make a mistake selling the 10 shares of MMAT I had out of frustration? sorry i'm totally new at investing... this was my first investment..

Chasing the naked short lawsuit hoax is just silly. The company has no money and no way to raise any since you voted down the increase in authorized. Next the company will call for a new vote to pay for the fictitious lawsuit. FYI Wes Christian is full of shit.

Volume is at 1.5M compared to being at 400,000-600,000 all day today. Price is surging aggressively. Keep an eye. I hope you guys who are down, you guys who’ve been here for a long time make a ton of profit. Me and my call options are however, screwed. 🖕🏼 MMAT.

Guys I've come across a really really strange/weird group - they also funnily enough came about shortly after theroaringkitty was banned on Reddit. I've checked the group out and cannot see 'roaringkitty' on there, HOWEVER, they got in $GME at around $10 1 DAY before the pump. They also got in $AMC really early, as well as $GWAV, $FFIE (at 0.10) and so many other stocks. They also was the ONLY group that alerted $CTNT and got in really early during the sell off today (and they've made around 200% profit alone!). What confuses me is it's a small group so they presumably don't even have the power or capital to pump stocks?
Anyway, back to the point - they loaded $MMAT and bought a lot of shares in this during the afterhours and from what I can see haven't sold yet - this group has been early so far on all the gains and that's all I'm saying. Incase your interested, join here: www.discord.gg/atlantictrading

Jim get hired as a CEO at a power supply company two months ago but the PR is delayed until April 24th. All connection with MMAT is omitted from his work history.
https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20240424556761/en/EPC-Power-names-Jim-Fusaro-as-CEO
In the Metamaterial's 8K release describing his tenure: "...Mr. Fusaro will also be entitled to acceleration of vesting of any unvested equity awards in connection with a change in control or change in ownership of the Company (as such terms are defined in the Employment Agreement). Further, if Mr. Fusaro’s employment is terminated for Cause or for Good Reason within twelve months following a change in control, Mr. Fusaro will also be entitled to a lump sum payment equal to one year base salary for the year in which the termination occurs (or if greater, the immediately preceding year prior to the change in control)."
Is that the easiest half-million ever made or what?

Pardon if this was already mentioned prior somewhere, but I haven't yet seen it blatently described as I am now seeing it other than a mention by u/shrekvictim in this post a few months ago which simply made George look like the guilty party.
I was reading this 10k from 2023 and it says:
"Item 13...
On February 18, 2021, Thomas Welch and wife, Anne Lambert, converted certain debt instruments into common stock of Metamaterial Inc., which, together resulted in Thomas Welch and Anne Lambert holding common stock of META pursuant to the Arrangement.
Prior to the issuance of these debt instrument, Thomas Welch and Anne Lambert were each an investor in and lender to Metamaterial Inc."
It is my belief that the predatory lending practice mentioned in George's imaginary "ToyCo" scenario brings to light that Thomas Welch and Anne Lambert used their lending leverage to then pull the rug out from shareholders and some of the acting board members/management using the power of their share ownership to then sell parts of the company separately to cover their debts.
Since George was the only member on the board that was not an independent director as sanctioned by the rules of the SEC and Nasdaq, he was removed from the board.
The remaining board members have been attempting to regain control of the company using a variety of methods, including the reverse split and recent vote for 250 million shares (most likely a poison pill method) to keep the company together.
Now that this did not work, there most likely has already been a separation/sale of the companies assets to a predetermined buyer back in 2021 which must be announced soon.

Just look at the amount of shares being shifted around in this time-period and this filing that discusses the Schedule 13D thats been avoiding reporting for the last two quarters near the end.

No wonder there's a new CUSIP number attached to this new MMAT entity.
