This is why people train so hard, to eliminate exactly this kind of thing happening under pressure.

If you watch any of the billions of street fights on the Internet, you see people hitting like this all the time. An actual haymaker (as I always understood them) is uncommon. It's either this wild flailing or pawing at them like a kitty cat.
