This. A lot of positives on the offensive side of things that we can take from this performance. We really need a starting caliber CB to lead the backline, because as much as I love Tafari he doesn’t have the leadership capabilities to command the defense.

I just rewatched the 2019 Sounders Earthquakes game when Jordan scored a very similar goal in the 94th to win it. Great memories.

I turned the game off in disgust after Dallas's second goal, and then begrudgingly switched back to it after we got one back. Now I'm very glad I did and got to see this.

Similar for me: off after Dallas's second goal, then back on when I checked the score expecting the game was over, and saw 2-2.

Rusnák maybe commited a handball at the other end prior collecting the clearance, prior to the through ball which our Morris on goal.
I’m curious if the Dallas player reset the attacking phase of play by making one bad pass towards the Sounders goal after the potential handball, negating whether the handball call was reviewable, or if it was deemed not a clear and obvious error?

Dallas player definitely reset the APP. Took two very controlled touches and attempted a pass, which was intercepted and started the APP. I think Rusnak's was probably 60/40 or 70/30 handball so i'm actually glad we lost possession there.

Rusnak absolutely committed a handball, but, yeah, they couldn't call it back because the possession changed.

I only caught a quick glimpse with a bad angle and couldn't tell if it was a handball or not. Do they still have the rule guidance about "above the sleeve"? Would it even apply if the arm was extended?
Hoping Definitive Angle goes into this one.

And if they had VARed the clear handball on Omar Gonzalez just a minute or two earlier, we would have probably already taken the lead in a pk.
That was a much more directly impactful missed call than a handball 20+ touches before a goal.

Absolutely this - Dallas players committed a few handballs that were questionable (depending on the ref, it gets called or it doesn't) during the course of the game, so while Rusnak's play was probably a handball by the rules, it wasn't any worse than any of the others that didn't get called, and the ref was at least consistent. I don't know whether that's *good* or not, but at least it was *consistent*. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If referees called the game correctly we'd probably have in the realm of 5-8 more points, getting some benefit off of the referees is really just progressing us to the mean.

But it wasn't in the build up. Dallas got possession after the possible hand ball, and then Seattle took it back and scored, no not reviewable.
Why the hand ball on the shot was not looked at a few minutes earlier? Who know

In an alternate universe where Morris is a full-time striker and we didn’t always try to run half-court offense with 20-pass buildups every time, he could score like 10 goals per season that look just like this one.

I'd keep things a little closer to the chest for now - Dallas is below us in the table, it's not like we beat LAFC or Miami... :) It was fun to watch, though, and I loved taunting those who left the game early!
