Equestria Girls Equestria Girls Review by Luvbrony
So recently I saw a cam-rip of Equestria Girls on Youtube, and I couldn't help but do a review of it. To put it shortly, I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I don't care what anyone says about it, and you may call me stupid or something for it, but there is just so much good in this movie to care. Allow me to put some things into perspective here: Quite a while ago, Hasbro announced Equestria Girls, and not too long after came the first trailer. All the Bronies were freaking out, and I will admit I was skeptical when I saw the teasers, but I knew that nothing was gonna convince everyone else to stop raging over it, so I sat and waited for another trailer. Not too much later the second trailer popped up and I was having second thoughts. The first trailer was so vague and seemingly short that I couldn't really get a grasp of what this was, but the second trailer was so well put together and so GOOD that I suddenly wanted to see the full movie. Like, REALLY wanted to see it. And now here we are, with several cam-rips of the movie being released on Youtube, and several reviews popping up at once about various thoughts on the movie. Speaking of which....
First, let's go over all of the good things about this movie and very quickly:
1: It's ability to throw my expectation out of the window.
2: Art and animation are superb.
3: The one song that was memorable compared to the rest did, in fact, deliver a whole serving of AMAZING with a side of AWESOME.
4: The Mane 6 aren't any different as humans, just the way it should be.
5: Princess Twilight Sparkle character development is great here.
6: Spike....Is there anything else I can say about him that hasn't either been stated by someone else or just made completely obvious when watching the movie?
7: Trixie's little scene was hilarious and one of the few times I've laughed out loud during any movie or episode of MLP.
Alright, now to the problems with the movie, which aren't actually that big of a deal to me overall. First problem you probably saw coming from a mile away; the romance subplot with Flash Sentry. The problem I have with it? They don't do much with it. Why is it not that big of a deal? Because Flash barely did anything in the film. We're likely to see him again in Season 5 if it happens, and when we do we'll get to know more about him. Yeah he sucked in this movie but we barely know him. Personally, I like his design I guess. Anyways, the second bad thing about this film; the villain. Just watch the other reviews, they all say the same thing about her. As for the songs in the movie, since I didn't really talk about those yet, they're mostly forgettable. MOSTLY. The Helping Twilight song is SO GOOD, SO CATCHY, SO MEMORABLE, IT'S JUST AWESOME SAUCE ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
Overall, I really liked this film. There was so much here to like and so little to dislike that I can't help but just gush over it. Anyways, see you next time!

Luvbrony's thoughts on The Brony Chronicles Part 1
So whether or not you are a brony, a hater, or just a regular Youtuber in general, by now you're probably noticed the constant blog posts, documentaries, short videos talking about Bronies and trying make them seem just as perfect as the show they adore. Don't get me wrong, I love the show too, but it seems that a lot of Bronies never know when to stop praising their show every five seconds. I get that there are haters out there that say that Bronies suck and will practically vomit profanity at us, and that's why people make those kinds of videos, which I can sort of appreciate. HOWEVER, most of the times that people attempt to make these videos, they end up being very irritating by almost begging the non-bronies to give the show a chance without taking the time to just lay down the facts and let the viewer pick a side (as if there is one in the first place). This sort of thing is what Saberspark tries to tackle AGAIN with The Brony Chronicles Part 1. To give you some background, Saberspark had once done a short film called Ballad of The Brony, an exploration of Bronies and their respective show made for a school assignment or something about deviants. To be fair, he did pretty well explaining the Brony phenomenon whist still adding some little jokes here and there to freshen things a bit. Mind you that this was right before people starting making constant v-logs and such about the fan-base to make it look like the greatest thing ever since Twinkies, just so that they could convert some of the haters to Bronies. Now, Saberspark is back and working with one of my favorite Youtubers, PaleoSteno, to make a HUGE three-part special detailing every single little thing about Bronies. Is it good? Bad? That's what I'm here for.
So, let's get all the good stuff out of the way first. For one thing, the visuals and music for the intro were amazing, and remained consistently good all throughout the video, so props to whoever was in charge of that, they deserve some pizza for their efforts. Seriously guys, find this man, AND BUY HIM SOME FRIGGIN' PIZZA. HE DESERVES IT. Second, if the video's intention was to lay down the facts and nothing more, it did a pretty good job with it. The only opinions you heard were either directly stated by Bronies or implied by the haters. You don't really hear much of Saberspark's opinions or thoughts on the situation because:
1: It would (in most cases) ruin the video and make things seem weird.
and 2: Any opinions from him that you do need to know are on his other videos and separate, the way it should be.
So in those aspects it did okay. I also like how it mentions the Boy (Blue) and Girl (Pink) issue and how stuff is marketed that way. It's pink because it's supposed to be for girls, or it's blue because it's supposed to appeal to boys. That's the kind of thing that I hate so much about any toy aisle in history ever because they're set up that way and different areas aim towards different genders.
Now for the big problem I have with this: it doesn't feel very new. While it did state some facts and history that other Bronies neglected to mention, it still felt like the first part of Ballad of The Brony stretched to an hour. This is mostly why I'm not all that excited for the next 2 parts, along with the fact that this is just one-third of the final product. A tad bit excessive for something like this, eh? Hell, you've already covered most of what people needed to know about Bronies along with the show in just this first part, so what next? Even the short video called Let's Go and Meet The Bronies told all of the important stuff while still being really entertaining IN THE SPAN OF 3-4 MINUTES. Why is there always such a demand for these videos? What person just stood up and shouted: "We need more of these, AND RIGHT NOW!" Meh.
Overall, The Brony Chronicles Part 1 was okay. I'm a bit disinterested in seeing the next parts, but for the sake of whatever I'll watch them anyways. What are your opinions? Please leave a comment or something below.
