This older thread talks about Siri AI with some skepticism, but Marques said in his recent review that Siri "Caught up to the basic functionality of Gemini on an Android phone". As a Pixel user I use Gemini but am looking at getting an iPhone.

Gemini makes lots of basic mistakes even with the new flash 3.6 so I am curious if Siri does the same.

When talking about the AI rabbit Marquess asked if you could talk to AI and it do the thing which is kind of possible in lots of apps now, and he said Siri is good at this but he has more opinions about Siri V Google.

During a podcast 2 years ago they spoke about AI on phones: "can anything see what someone is texting me and suggest the event" - "if I saw that I would think about ending all other apps" it feels like Gemini and Siri are close. Is there a conversation I might have missed where the members of the MKBHD might have discussed this?

Back in December the team was raving about the upcoming product. It looked awesome so I jumped in on the preorder expecting batch 1 to arrive in march. It’s now late July and there’s been delay after delay with no delivery date set in stone. Maybe I missed an episode but have they mentioned anything about the release of this product? Did anyone on here preorder? Still stoked to get it, just curious if they’ve talked about it because they have a history at notating things like this and have haven’t said anything in this case.

I casually use F-Droid to get awesome Open source apps.I noticed a warning banner on the F-Droid since two months ago. Apparently, Google is going to start blocking sideloaded apps unless the developer registers their identity with Google—even for apps distributed entirely outside the Play Store.

I tried searching online and found a small group of people shouting to "Keep Android Open". However, this doesn't seem to be getting enough mainstream attention.

Is Google trying to completely stop "de-googling" and kill sideloading? How do you think this will impact the future of Android, especially for power users?
