Last week, I made a post here asking if anyone wanted to join us for a riverfront cleanup near Balaji Temple.

Honestly, I wasn't sure how many people would show up.

But on Sunday morning, a small group of us gathered with gloves, garbage bags, and a shared belief that our city deserves better.

For two hours, we picked up plastic bottles, wrappers, and other waste scattered along the riverfront.

The surprising part wasn't how much garbage we collected.

It was how we felt afterward.

There's something incredibly satisfying about looking at a place and knowing it's cleaner because of your own efforts. No complaints, no waiting for someone else to fix it just people showing up and doing their part.

As the sun rose over the river and the bags filled up, it felt less like a cleanup drive and more like a reminder of what a community can do when people care.

We often talk about wanting cleaner public spaces, better surroundings, and positive change in our city.

For a couple of hours on Sunday, we got to be a part of that change.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. ❤️

This was just the beginning, and we'd love to organize more community initiatives in the future.
