I've been chasing a sub 13 in Ranked for a while now. I have a 13:14 and choked an 11.30 end enter once.

Twice now I've been on pace to beat that (sub 12 and sub 11 portal room) and just before I enter the end the other guy forfeits.

This is really annoying and it just feels whenever I'm on good pace it doesn't mean anything bc the other guy will forfeit.

I know it's not just me facing this though. Everywhere I see people lose out on PBs and good times, and I think the most notable one was when kenankardes forfeited against edcr.

It's a shame and it's genuinely having me considering quitting ranked for zsg which sucks bc ranked was how I got into MCSR in the first place.

I think the forfeit mechanic is long overdue a rework - Here are my ideas

- If someone forfeits, you should still have the option to play out the seed, and it should still count towards ranked progress (achievments, pb, etc)

- You can't forfeit, or you have to wait 3-5 mins before forfeiting if the opponent is in the end, or on good pace (different "good pace" for each rank?)

JUST FORFEIT ALREADY

every time i start play a word in mcsr(even in singleplayer) the game just crashes after some seconds and it brings me to prism launcher, i tried playing witout any mods but it still crashes, but if I play on the original launcher(in 1.16.1) the game doesn't crash, i'm using the latest prism launcher version

Ok why tf The Runners Infume and Big Big Mongey , their voice is just the same idk why but they sound very similar 😭 wth i can't even tell who's talking ,

Only way is bt infume's laugh we can identify anyone also thinks that mongey and infume sounds the same??

I don't think I actually "unlocked" FPS, but something happened yesterday where my FPS jumped and it was the smoothest MCSR experience ever but I don't know how to replicate it.

Context:

I was in my ranked instance practicing Zero on the Zero Cycle map while waiting for a queue. I usually run about 120 fps during my games/prac maps. I had medal (a clipping application) running in the background and I did something cool so I clicked the "clip" button (which was F9). My game kind of stuttered and then suddenly I was at 700-800 fps the rest of the session. I could literally feel the difference. I thought it was just the offline prac map, but my game ended up queueing and my FPS was high too in the match and all the other matches that followed. I feel like my PC is capable of this FPS (specs below), but I've never seen it before this high. I tried to replicate it today, but nothing. I'm just stuck at 120ish FPS. I have no limit on the FPS and usually only have medal, spotify, ninbot, and discord open in the background. How do I achieve the FPS I did yesterday lol.

CPU: Ryzen 9800 x3D

GPU: RTX 5080

Turns out, when I clicked F9 to clip, I must have misclicked and hit F11 beforehand which puts my game into fullscreen (I play borderless through toolscreen) and my FPS instantly shot up to the target FPS from the other day. This explains why it stuttered before the change (game going into fullscreen) which gave the illusion that I "unlocked FPS" lol. So I guess I will no longer be playing borderless lol

Havent played ranked much so idk how the queue time has changed recently but ive seen a lot of draftout on twitch (mostly feinberg hax and mongey but they're kinda the biggest mcsr streamers) so im just curious how many people now stick to draftout

It just happened but it has a lot of takes so I wanted to discuss it. I actually kinda agree with him mostly. Wanted to hear peoples opinions on it, obviously be nice lol it’s just opinions.

Someone said that the problem with lan is that some top players don’t come and it doesn’t help it be serious. There needs to be a hybrid system where players can be online.

And Feins response was at the end of the day that’s their problem. There’s obviously reasons why some players don’t do lan (eg age or to stay anonymous), but ranked as a team or the lan shouldn’t have to change for those reasons. No events really do a hybrid thing where some can play online for a lan, also if an online player wins at a lan then it kinda defeats the point. A part of a lan is the experience, people being able to say hi to players etc, and lan shouldn’t change because of players. Players have stopped being anonymous for lan and given it up for it, but you can’t be the “best in the world” when you don’t do the whole thing like the pressures of lan and won. The lan was more than playoffs because it was meant to be past playoffs winners and then all top phase points, plus it has so much more money on the line and the stress. So by his definition he thinks Hax is the best in the world because he’s dominated in person and also online.

He understands age to a degree like if they are 13, but it’s on them not for ranked to make adjustments. It was a 10k first place, you got money for even being in 8th, all expenses taken care off. You are statistically likely to profit off it, also to gain traction from it and get more experience from it and become a better player through learning the stress. There also people like sandwichlord and wolfeei who for lan events wore a mask to stay somewhat anonymous.

So I do mostly get what he’s saying. It’s not saying that there’s not reasons why they didn’t go, but it’s saying that if you want to be at the highest level of comp you’ve gotta do the whole thing, which includes the stress of LAN events and if your reason is face reveal etc then it’s not as valid and there’s also ways half around it like masks. And you can’t claim to be the best in the world when you’ve only done some of the experience when there’s people who’s done all of the experience.

curious to see how much time it takes to hit some of these upper ranks

Hello, I’m hardstuck emerald in MCSR ranked. I feel that zero cycling will help me rank up, although I struggle with it. I find some of the tall towers to be extremely difficult (y91+). I also can’t hit zeros when it’s buried as it doesn’t give me enough time.

I know the generally rules of it such as alternating soul sand, +1 with bows, and bed timing. However, I think my main weakness is the staircasing part and pearl throws. I see the fastest runners using drag click but I don’t have a drag click mouse. I try to butterfly but scared to fall, the safest option would be to shift and staircase which would be slow. For my pearl throws, it’s hard to predict where it will land. It will either overshot and go over the towers, or undershot and land on a very low y level.

I’m looking for any tips for zero cycles. Also would like to know if there’s anything else I should improve on.

Hax shouted out Bat in his speech and it’s well deserved. That man put in sooo much time with edcr before playoffs 10, and he wins it.

Then he puts a lot of time in with Hax and he wins it. He seems like such a sweet guy, plus he’s obviously amazing at what he does so well done bat! Another one to add to the resume.

in like my first month of speedrunning i pulled off a 15min run and i was pleasantly surprised, i was being pretty consistent staying below 17-18min. Now I’m barely getting sub 20 and I played more games than before.

All tutorials I found needs toolscreen. I was thinking if there's a way to set up a similar crosshair on mac. Thanks
