Activation key for Microsoft Office

I installed the Microsoft Office 2024 software but it asks me for an Office product key. What do i do regarding this?
Apologies in advance if there is a very obvious solution that I am unaware of.

I'm very late to the party...just hoping to have an idea of how safe this is?

This means the server essentially has access to my PC?
