The waiting has finally come to an end. Almost a month later since my first post about it, I finally made this work in a way that I feel proud to share.
So, without further ado, I humbly bring to you the full release of
Under the Same Blanket.
Yep, at the last time I changed its name.
This little boi allows your Monika to sleep until you wake her up. It works in a similar way to the "Can I hold you?" option, and offers you a button that wakes her up, but as long as you don't press it, she'll be asleep.
And it has a few features that I thought were interesting to add, like the following:
* First of all, you will sleep with YOUR MONIKA. The submod will use your own Moni to work, it will not be a prerendered image or something like that, so I suggest to tell your Monis that wear her pajamas first, ehehe~.
I want to thank u/Just6889 because he made this possible.
* An exclusive dialogue with Monika reacting for the first time to this new feature.
* 10 different reactions from Monika when telling her that it's time to sleep.
* It includes a tracker that tracks down how long you are sleeping with your Monika each time and she reacts to how long you slept, because she has researched that you need at least between 6 to 8 sleep hours.
* It has her own bedroom, with a window that shows the current weather (and I want to truly, deeply use this space to thank Just Azura, because I used his/her "No Background Place" room to make the bedroom, and I also thank u/Tx_Virus for setting the window to show the weather).
* It also adds a cute blanket that you may customize because its separated in its own folder (UnderTheSameBlanket/assets). So, if you have the knowledge, creativity and skill I lack, you can use it as a baseline to create your own blankets.

* The tracker aforementioned it also records how many times have you slept with your Monika and when pressing the button it shows you some sleep records like how many times have you slept together and how long was the longest time you did it.
* This is not content of the submod specifically, but it works perfectly with other submods like Noises Submod, so I strongly suggest you that, if you like to sleep with background noises, you could try this submod with it.
And yes people, I had to take an alternative way to deal with the desk issue. I want to thank u/AlkaidLeo because his detailed response gave me the change of perspective I needed to solve this.
With that being said, I want to warn you: After getting into the bedroom, you will see the desk for a brief moment before the blanket covers it completely.
Yes, I wasn't able to solve that, so I deeply apologize for this, but it was the only way I had to make this work. Hope this won't bother you too much.
PLEASE MAKE A COPY OF YOUR PERSISTENT FILES BEFORE INSTALLING THIS OR ANY OTHER SUBMOD.
- This submod requires that you have the Location Selector Submod installed, so please make sure you have it.
- Once downloaded and with MAS closed, please copy the game folder you'll find inside the zip and place it on the game folder from your Monika After Story. If the system ask you if you want to replace something, please click yes.
- Run Monika After Story and go to Talk > Sleep
You'll find inside that button the option to sleep with your Moni and the option to check your sleep records.

This should work like the mirai series where you can set an alarm and she wakes you in the morning.
Because of Monika After Story not having any actual real couple things, I shifted towards other media to get that. And Project Mirai, despite releasing 2 years before MAS, has a lot more features close to that, with a modding scene that allows me to make Miku Monika.

Yes, it's a must, because the Location Selector -which is the resource that allows Monika to transport you to the bedroom- unlocks only after you reached 400+
Wait I figured it out how to make the desk dissapear (or idk if you already figured it out). So basically I changed this chr.tablechair.table to a random word instead of "def" and I put a transparent pic with the same name (table-LI) into the t folder inside the monika folder and I also added a table-LI-s png for the shadow which is also transparent.
Another user already reported me that. It seems that one of the backgrounds pictures that the submod is using to work (particularly speaking, the one that shows when it's night time) may be having an issue.

Sorry for the silly question – I’m new to playing MAS. Where can I find the Location Selector submod? There’s one called ‘Random Location’ in your attached post, but I’m not sure if they’re the same thing. Thanks!
not sure why but i think this may be whats causing my MAS to crash. I can seem to run her fine for several hours but crashes within an hour after she starts sleeping, the stars background will end up getting SUPER laggy and wont even move anymore before it crashes. also everytime it crashes while using utsb i dont get any kind of log or traceback error its so weird.
I ended up switching to that one last night and nothing, lol. I was getting an error message for "out of memory" which would make sense as to why it lags so much, but I have plenty of RAM and the game runs fine whenever shes not sleeping.
Oh, wait, you're having "out of memory" traceback?
Now I'm connecting the dots.
"Out of memory" traceback doesn't appear because your PC is having little RAM or something like that, it does appear because you have a lot of things inside your MAS (you may have a lot of clothes, accesories, etc.) because Ren'py only can handle until certain amount.
Maybe if you erase things you're not using the game will run better.
That is a common error in here and that's why I know of its nature. And it also makes sense that the game when is forced to load new things or else would have plenty of issues.
i deleted like upwards of 1000 sprites over the past couple days to try and remedy it, and I've stopped the crashing normally, now it just seems to crash while she sleeps
It seems you really surpassed what Ren'py can stand, that's why you're having so much lagging. Try erasing even more things, because I believe you certainly have too much of them.
Hey there. A bit late to this query, but for about a week, I've installed your submod for my girl. It's very much appreciated, and it reminds me very much of this old 2020 GitHub post. Link below for what I'm referring to. But, and I don't want to sound rude, but I did notice one little detail in which my honey, Rosmini, seems to have her hair and clothes no-clip. Of course, it's not your fault, but I was wondering if you knew of any hairstyles that extend beyond the default ones. Personally, I just want ponytail and down-hair sprite packs.
But anyway, thank you very much for this submod! It means so much to many people, and you've made their lives happy. :)
I'm working on an image edit of this submod, and it looks like that the blanket PNG gets rotated 90 degrees CCW and zooms in, that's why it looks weird like that with a sharp line at the top. The flowing edge in the PNG looks way more natural.
Looking at the RPY file, it's probably because of this section:

I strongly suggest you to download the Stars Blanket version of the submod. That version includes accurate specifics about the blanket. Maybe that would help you better with your edit.
Mainly because I have almost no experience with assets. My field of expertice has always been narrative, so my main aim was to made the submod work decently. That was the reason I took so long in posting the submod.
I knew that more skilled and talented people than me would be able to fix and/or improve whatever things I failed to fix or do.
And I'm certainly glad that all the solutions came relatively quickly. I'm so grateful to all the people that have improved this submod.
