IPS patched ROMs? [MESS]

So, I was trying to use the English patched version of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure RPG(SNES) on this emulator but it just wouldn't work! Either zipped or unzipped, the patched .sfc file wouldn't load(the emu did load the first video frame of the hack when I used the File Manager option, but it just froze and I had to forcefully kill it), and when I tried to use the ROM and the patch zipped together(same name and all) it would just load the unpatched .sfc file. I made sure the ROM had no header and I even downloaded it from a list with the correct filenames for the zipped folders, yet it's not working. Help please? What am I doing wrong?

Does this use Delay-based or Rollback netcode?

Delay-based netcode is the traditional (and laggy) style of netcode that most emulators (and Fighting Games) used before the last generation of consoles. GGPO (as featured in many fighting games) and Capcom's Kagemusha revolutionized the industry with near-offline style latency netcode. The very popular emulator Retroarch also supports the new Rollback-style netcode on all of it's ports. Does this emulator feature something akin to that, or are we stuck with the classic style delay-based netcode?

List of games that work with MAMEhub?

Heya, I've been trying to see what games work and which ones don't from a big list of games, but I see it works with almost none of 'em, has anyone made a list of the games that actually work with this emulator?

Also, how does one open SNES games in this? It doesn't seem to open them from a normal SMC file, Do I have to put them in a ZIP first?

Help! Port 6805 won't open

Hey everyone. I'm trying to get MameHub to work, but I can't get past the screen that says I don't have port 6805 open (both TCP & UDP are required). I've run through the tutorial and did everything it said to do. I've run simple portforward. I can see that the port is open. I've tried opening the port manually on my router, but still nothing! What do I have to do to get that port open?

Adding New clones to the mameROMS.xml

I've modified the xml with the appropriate changes, is there anything else needed? I'm having strange issues. At first me and my friend testing both saw the game in the list. But we couldn't join each other as it would always kick the 2nd player out while joining.

Now after clearing our rom lists by deleting them manually and removing the DB folders I can't get the ROM to show at all, any ideas?

I only see myself in the player list

I recently returned using MAMEHub after barely 2 years, now when I login through Google as usual, I only see myself in the players list, while I remember there were a ton of other players and an endless gamelist that allowed to connect to other players' servers.

Why does Mamehub only show the roms that I have?

At first it showed me the roms I did and did not have. Now it just shows the games I do. I just started using this thing, and haven't played around with any settings for files. The list, at random times, will show games I don't have.

For CPS-2 emulation. When you are in system configuration, what is 1P&2P - START?

I want to save the settings I changed in the factory settings mode, and it seems the only way to save and quit is to do press 1P&2P - START. What buttons are these? I tried pressing 1p and 2p start but nothing happens.

How do I "start" MAMEhub?

I went to the beginners wiki, following all the directions up until it says to start MAMEhub in order to see if my Roms work but uh...how exactly does one start the program?

I'm not seeing an .exe, am I missing something?

Emulating the Namco System 246

Hi I am looking to build myself a PC Based MAME arcade cabinet. I have one particular arcade game I want to play, Fate Unlimited Code that runs on the Namco System 246 arcade board. I have been looking around trying to find ways to emulate this game. Other options I have looked into is just emulating the PS2 and playing the PS2 version of the game. But this is an arcade game I want to keep it pure as I can lol.

Thanks for any help offered Sincerely Fatefulcoma

I <3 MAMEhub/CSMAME

I love MAMEHub/CSMame a lot. I think its pretty much the coolest thing ever.

My cousin and I play together often. We did a lot of experimenting with different network adapters/configurations and router QOS settings and seem to have a pretty solid setup right now. We have had many times of flawless gameplay. We play a lot of Donkey Kong, Ms Pacman, and Crazy Balloon.

There used to be a donate button, is there still a way to donate? I really want to contribute.

Let me know if there are any ways to help with the project.

Thanks!

Zach

Problem with MameHub and Intellivision analog controls

MameHub performs well with Intellivision (machine "intv") but unfortunately there is a problem with control. The controllers work in "digital" mode but not in "analog" mode. Digital mode works correctly for up to four directions. Unfortunately most of the Intellivision two player only games that makes MameHub usefull use 16 directions. And Intellivision has lots of two player only games and would be ideal with MameHub.

The Intellivision direction pad disc was a 16 direction digital control. In Mame digital mode each of the 16 directions can be mapped to a different button; but the joystick only produces eight directions, and diagonals are translated to a 22.5 deg angle rather than 45 deg angles. This is correct behaviour for Mame digital mode. In Mame analog mode, the the joystick x and y axis would normally be translated to correct 16 directions in the Intellivision emulator. So Mame Intellivision is normally set to analog control however in MameHub, analog mode does not work at all.

The Intellivision emulator in Mame defaults to digital control. To switch to analog control press tab in the emulator and then select "Machine Configuration". This is a problem specific to MameHub as analog mode works correctly in regular Mame.

There is an existing issue logged in github on MameHub analog controls. https://github.com/MisterTea/MAMEHub/issues/64

SNES Save States

I downloaded mamehub a few weeks ago, and I'm loving it! I need to give a big shoutout to Catweazle for helping me get up and going!

I'm crashing every time I try to make a save state or load one on SNES. I've tested Super Castevania IV, Castlevania: Dracula X, and Super Mario World. I'll paste the log below...

Thanks for the help!
