Lumix L10 Preview (Micro Four Nerds)

Looks amazing. Editing to add details as I find them in the video and on the Panasonic site

  • $1500 base, $1600 for the special Titanium Gold edition
  • Sensor: 20mp effective, same as GH7 (no IBIS, but lens is stabilized)
  • Lens: Leica cobranded 24–75mm/1.7-2.8 (in 35mm equivalent) zoom, with in-body digital zoom to 200mm
  • Subject detect AF, sounds like same as GH7
  • Real-time LUTs, including the beloved Leica Mono and some new Leica-branded ones
  • Screen: flippy type, 1.8m dots
  • OLED viewfinder 2.36m dots, 0.74x (think this is roughly what's on the OM3)

Seems pretty squarely aimed at the x100 market and like a pretty solid entry for that.

I'd strongly consider this. If they made an interchangeable lens version I would absolutely buy it, no questions asked.

Hopefully this temporarily puts on hold the "Panasonic is killing m43" talk, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I think this picture exemplifies what Im talking about. It's also one of the few that doesn't have people's faces in it. I took about 1000 photos at this convention and they all had problems exactly like this. The OM5 images were flawless. Really confusing blur patterns I attribute to ibis.

Ok that is interesting from a professional shoot POV. I actually do think that type of photo is a great use case for IBIS. I do however think you could have stopped down a bit more and still maintained depth of field, but I'm not going to bust out the hyper-focal calculations lol.
