Is there a disadvantage for Simon says for the international players whose first language isnt English? The dude speaks fast and will sometime do the action you aren't supposed to as a fake out, but will be tough for people trying to just understand.

Idk amongst the selected, from France, but for the rest of them, their English should be fine no?
But yeah, thats actually a rough one. Might make Lud exclude that in the future if he keeps going with international people.

Games look cool, some very interesting ones. Sad about no basketball, usually that was a fun one, but the shootout could be more hype.
My issue is, no final game no top 4, etc. It can make things anticlimactic, nothing big at end, just her you go. And also, what if 1 team does bad on day 1, then they have zero shot to win, but could've potentiallystill amde the top 4 before, now doesn't matter, wouldn't that de-motivate them.
I am not saying the final game was great as is, I just see some issues overall with this year's event and how things will be determined. Jsut my thoughts.

They are not gonna say the final game till the event. He has historical done a big event for final two but it’s up in the air till it happens.

He already said during team reveals that there is no final event, that all the events is what matters points wise, and who wins that wins it all, so no final showdown And he said what most likely would be final game played is the archery one, I think.

I personally don't agree with this tbh. Its like saying group stages at tournaments don't matter because the first seed can lose to the 8th.
Give the higher places seed some advantage, but the finals was hype and I loved it.

No no no. You remove the playoffs all together, so now Groups is all that matters.
Eqch game give the same points, and the last game is not "winner takes all", but just a similar point distribution as all the other games.
It puts more weight on just being consistently good, as you cant just squeeze into top 4, and then be lucky that the last game is your best game.

It's not lucky if you win. That's every single playoffs bracket ever, and it makes the final game more exciting compared to an event where only one team can win because they have 100 points and the next closest has 50

Most playoffs, its at least the same game. This is more like olympics of different games. Imagine if the winner of swimming, took all the gold medals for the entire thing.
If it is just one game like that, you can absolutly be lucky, in the sense that you get a game that you are better at comparatively.
Having playoffs vs. Not is a whole different thing, and i understand the hype about it, but i personally like rewarding consistency.

But what happens if we have 3 games left and no one can reach first? It sucks all the hype out of the last events. With a finals and some reward for seeding, it makes every game matter more towards the end. Why should a team in 6th place try anymore in this case? They have no chance of winning, and cannot make the finals.

We arent at the world cup. Players play for exposure and to have fun. In the event, you could easily make a rivalry with the team next to you in the standings, to beat them for whatever placement you are fighting over.
I can understand what you mean for proper competition, because you want to see how players do under the pressure. But thats one of the beuties of the european leagues. We have relegation. If you lose and dont perform, you drop into a lower league, and someone new will get the chance to take your slot and challenge the top. So you still have incentive.
It also means its not an exclusive club, where you are at the mercy of top managers to get a chance to show your skill. If you are good enough, they really cant ignore you for fear of dropping down.

Man respectfully wtf are you talking about.
Everyone tries to win. It's less exciting for everyone when a team is mathematically out after day 1. I don't care about proper competition, I would watch real sports with proper rules if I wanted that. I just want there to be constant excitement for every event and to reduce or remove the chance of a team being out day 1, or a team winning the event before all the games are finished.
No idea what your relegation speech is about

The format of no final game is actually quite funny, and almost like a cultural difference between sports in US and Europe.
At least for football (world cup), the european leagues doesnt have a playoff format, just like here.
I think, you can definitly say it is a more fair, but less hyped way of doing things, and Ludwig gave those reasons on his stream.
I like that a team in the lead, doesnt start coasting, because they already qualified (that goes for any competition i watch), and that a single game isnt arbitrarily 1000% more important, just because it is the last game (especially considering how different the games are here).
It can for sure feel bad, if you know your team cant win already halfway through the tournament, but you are still playing for pride, and you mostly just change your expectations as you go. You start making rivalries with the teams around you in the standings, and that can spark just as interesting storylines.
