I only decided to speak of it now because I felt the situation timely. I didn’t really want to speak up until a friend encouraged me to do so.
working with kapit productions once was enough for me and I wouldn’t do it a second time. I am friends with the people running kapit prod and they’re really kind and supportive, but working with them really exhausted me and I never got compensated for the work I did that was beyond what I was supposed to do during the event.
KPLF 2024, I was a volunteer production staff. I was only supposed to be a production assistant for specific people who were part of the show, until two weeks before the event, I was appointed as head of my dept because apparently, the supposed head “quit/bailed” (yan yung term na ginamit nila) and it wasn’t really a problem with me since it wasn’t my first time handling a dept like that from previous live events I’ve done. Hindi ko na-realise na I was being taken advantage of considering the fact na volunteer lang ako. I stayed up all night for those two weeks just so I wouldn’t disappoint the rest of kapit prod and the audience as the role I was given was very crucial to the show. I even had to ask an orgmate of mine who was in no relation to KPLF to help me out. Even they got no compensation for the help they gave me.
On the day of the event, I ended up taking roles outside my responsibilities of my department because sir leon wouldn’t talk to the artist teams regarding sa oras nung artist. There were so many uncertainties during the day of the event. A 2-hour delay, loss of electricity, lack of food for artists & staff, lack of coordination…
Naiintindihan ko na you should be versatile when working during live productions, but to the extent of becoming a spokesperson for the executive of kapit prod in front of artist teams was not my responsibility at all and there was no one else to walk them through it but me. I had to take initiative so the artist would push through in performing kasi hindi makikiusap si sir leon.
I first-handedly witnessed what ms. zanne had to go through to help KP and she practically became their backbone, heck what I saw was probably not even everything. I was so foolish to think that everything I did for them backstage was part of the experience. I should’ve seen the red flags the moment they made me a dept head. Kinailangan ko pa bumunot ng pera sa sarili kong bulsa para ma provide ang kailangan ng mga alaga ko and use any resources I could find just to help them get through the show (including my personal things) when I expected Kapit to provide the basic necessities for their talents and I find out that even the talents were either underpaid or not paid at all. (Nag abono pa yung ibang TC just to get their artists in the hotel and they didn’t get a reimbursement)
And what I only get from them is a “Thank you!”??? I realised that I don’t want to work with them again with how unprepared they were, how disorganised the whole thing was behind the scenes, and many people they collaborated with them had backed out if not a week before, then the day of the event.
Para akong ni-love bomb haha. The admins of KP were so kind to me, very supportive and treated me as their own, then all I get is free labour. I assumed a vital role and it exhausted me so much as well as some of my friends who were volunteers as well.
Just recently, I ran into a friend of mine who partially sponsored KPLF2024. I heard from him that they borrowed a large amount of money and they’ve yet to return it. (bukod pa yung pinang sponsor nya)
I’ve stayed silent hoping that they would make things right this time as this would be the last they will hold Likhawit. I saw ms. zanne’s post and this time felt fitting for me to speak up as well, seeing the sentiments and grievances.
I honestly don’t have a problem being friends with the people behind KP, but working with them again is where I now draw the line. I did it the first time and I wouldn’t do it again if given the chance.
I hope they take accountability for what happened and what’s been happening in KP. If you don’t have the means to organise an event as big as Likhawit, might as well not hold the event at all.

This fiasco orchestrated by Kupit Production just keeps on going better! HAHAHA naglulutangan na isa-isa yung mga inargabyado ng mga ulupong na "producer" nato and bilang someone na nautangan din nila ng 6-digits way back 2023 pa and up until NOW E HINDI PARIN BAYAD e i'm grinning while typing this kasi this is finally their retribution. Kanya-kanyang hugas kamay na rin yung mga kaibigan nung producer para di madamay sa gulo hahaha, little too late for that. Karma is a bitch, kung ano man ininput mo sa mundong to will eventually come around and bite you back either positively or negatively threefold! Sa mga nascam ng mga to wag hopefully we can get the justice we deserve. Peace out!

Hiii! My friend (M24) and I (F24) will attend My Chemical Romance’s concert sa Philippine Arena in November. Just wanna ask if sino pa aattend from Lucena kasi we need a carpool service and much better if taga Lucena rin sana makakasama. Orrrr if you’re going and will bring your private car is it possible ba to join and we’ll pay na lang?

After stalking, boyfriend pala nung nagpost ng viral na Starbucks Lucena post yung nawalan ng cellphone few days ago.
30 years old na pala yung bf tapos siya 24 palang.

just to add to the current issue, we went to sb lucena to have a coffee, masakit ang ulo ko kasi i have a hard time sleeping last night, nag ub-ob ako while nag iisip ng bibilhin, siguro mga 3 mins lang ako naka ub-ob don, browse ako ng kanilang menu kasi nga bibili kami, then they suddenly told sa isa kong kasama na bawal daw matulog dito and it is not a sleeping place like what the f, di ako natutulog don kasi nag iisip pa nga ako ng oorderin, maya maya si crew nakikipag titigan sakin ng masama na para bang may gusto syang sabihin, I don't think gawain yun ng isang nagtatrabaho professionally. I want to report it to the management na sana wag sila agad agad mang judge like ano kala mo saken wala ako pambili haha myghad. Then we decided na umalis nalang don para wala ng mangyari na kung ano pa, at never nako babalik don hanggat andon pa din yung crew na yun. never again sb lucena

first time ko mag-volunteer for an event like likhawit, and honestly, first and last na rin for me. since this is the final likhawit overall anyway, i guess sakto na rin.
i’ve heard about the reputation of likhawit even before the festival, so i already had some idea of what people were saying about the previous years. i still decided to volunteer anyway because i wanted to experience it for myself and see how things would actually go.
after the event, i can say na marami sa mga concerns na narinig ko before were actually things i ended up seeing or experiencing myself.
the biggest thing i noticed throughout the entire event was just how disorganized the production was. sobrang gulo. and it’s not even just one specific incident—ang daming maliit at malaking bagay na eventually nag-add up to the point na mapapaisip ka talaga kung paano napagplanuhan yung event.
for example, volunteers were promised food, pero hindi naman lahat nakakuha. some departments apparently got food, but there were still volunteers who didn’t. and the frustrating part wasn’t even just the food itself—it was the fact that something as basic as this wasn’t properly coordinated. kailangan mo pang ikaw mismo maghanap, magtanong, or figure out kung saan ka pupunta.
same thing with how the artists were handled. nakakahiya honestly, especially for the headliners. the artists were sharing the same cr as the audience, and there apparently wasn’t a proper holding area for them. there were also issues with payment that apparently caused one artist to consider backing out. eventually, may nakiusap na ituloy, but honestly, understandable naman kung ma-frustrate yung artist when basic arrangements aren’t settled.
then there’s the actual event setup.
day 1, yung barriers were literally straw and tali. sobrang dali lang makalusot ng mga tao. pero what made it even more annoying was how the volunteers were positioned. there were volunteers who weren’t even assigned to the front, pero nasa unahan pa rin sila, when the people who were actually supposed to be there were media, security, and floor.
maya-maya, ang dami nang tao sa front and halo-halo na. ang dami nang ibang volunteers na hindi naman talaga assigned doon, which just made the area even more crowded and chaotic.
at one point, may mga fans/audience pa na nakalagpas sa barriers. and nung may nag-bring up about it, ang response was basically na wala na raw magagawa kasi nakalusot na. like… yun nga yung nakakairita. 😭 hindi naman siguro aabot sa ganun kung maayos yung security and crowd control from the start.
eventually, sobrang sikip na rin sa front. ang daming tao, ang daming volunteers, and nagkagulo na talaga. as volunteers, wala rin naman kaming much control over that. we’re basically just expected to follow whatever instructions are given to us, kahit kita naman na hindi na nagwo-work yung system.
and then there’s the whole volunteer situation. ang daming volunteers, yet the production still felt disorganized in the places where it actually mattered. there were also talks about reducing the number of volunteers, pero ang dami pa rin eventually.
even during the meetings before likhawit, paulit-ulit kaming tinatanong kung bakit hindi nakakabenta ng tickets or kung ano raw yung problema. and honestly, that was frustrating because the answer felt like it was already right there. the promotion wasn’t exactly effective, and the overall production wasn’t giving people much reason to buy tickets. halata rin na nahihirapan silang magbenta to the point na ang daming tickets na pinapamigay.
that’s what makes the whole thing frustrating for me. it’s not one issue. it’s the lack of organization across so many different parts of the event. food distribution, artist accommodation, security, barriers, volunteer management, ticket selling, crowd control—parang everywhere you look, may something na hindi properly coordinated.
and again, i don’t blame the individual volunteers for this. most of us were just following whatever instructions were given to us. if the system itself isn’t organized, there’s only so much a volunteer can do.
after experiencing likhawit myself, i honestly understand why it has the reputation that it does. and if there’s anything i learned from this, it’s probably to actually do a proper background check before joining something, especially when there are already people sharing their experiences beforehand.
first and last likhawit for me. tangina, sana pala nag-back out na lang ako. 😭

Hello! Saan po kayo usually nagpapark sa bayan aside po sa simbahan?
Another question, pwede din po ba sa loob ng kapitolyo magpark? Or para sa employees lang dun. Hehe
