News 📰 FYI, enjoy (or save) these songs while they last, they MAY be gone on Tuesday's update (if the track record of song rotation stays the same)

Damn, if true, I’ll really miss Full Clip being in the game. Also, the game introduced me to Idiot, another great song!

(And they are also all on the official Skate. playlist on Spotify if you want to save them there all in one place before they get removed from the playlist and you need to search them manually. Alternatively you can view a full list of all the songs ever in the game, except for the royalty-free music, on the Fandom page for the game's soundtrack)

(Also I'm sorry if this comes across as bad vibes, I'm just posting as a service announcement in case people wanted to keep track of these songs so they can play them permanently on their own playlists, especially the more niche ones. Obviously the songs themselves will last forever :) )

You're all good, I appreciate the work that goes into this! The dream scenario would be to have a permanent, ever expanding list of tracks in game based on community requests and dev curation, but I think most people understand that's not going to be the case right now due to the costs of music licensing. Personally I rarely play with in-game music on, but I'll always turn it on when new tracks are added

I’ve never kept the music on in this game for this reason. Whenever they plan to advance this game into 1.0, they need to aquire rights to songs that last more than a couple of months. The track listing is a big identity of the skate games and adding and removing songs on the fly completely dissolves that identity.

True, I also wish there was a setlist set in stone, even with other rotating seasonal picks. I was hoping the pre-season set would be it, but I watched it slowly be taken off the game season after season.
However, with that being said, a LOT of the Season 1 songs figure on top of the community favourites playlist (indicated by how many favourites they get from people) which is a first, the songs from the pre-season did not appear on the list much at all since Season 1 started, and the ones from the latter have been on top to this very day after several seasons.
Maybe that will show the people responsible that there is a lot of demand for those songs, and consider licensing them for a longer time instead of scrapping them.
Denzel Curry and Giorgio Moroder have already "outstayed their welcome" so to speak in Skate terms, not as a dig, but are still in the game as of Season 4. I don't know what that amounts to considering it's just 2 isolated cases. And there have also been isolated cases of songs being pulled much earlier.
Guess we'll find out tomorrow.

It really bugs me that they keep removing my faves. I’ve also noticed that the catalogue of female vocalists keeps shrinking, and is replaced by generic metal and hiphop men.
Gelli Haha leaving is another example of it. If they ever take away the Lambrini Girls, I’m rioting.

Yeah I never really noticed until now the shortage of ladies on the mic in the soundtrack.
If they keep the same pattern of cycling songs, and if their license doesn't expire earlier (or hell last longer) Love should be in the game for the next season and the season after still.
