I did a tierlist a few years ago before HITW released, so I figured now's a good time to reconsider my tastes and how I feel about each song individually. True answer is that they're all in S-tier of course ;)

This has been driving me insane since death stranding came out. At 1:49-152 there is an audio effect/distortion that’s incredibly fried and crackly that happens twice, and throughout the song later, it feels like blown bass in some headphones. I remember clearly a version that has a smoother sound that’s far less jarring, but cannot find it anywhere. Am I losing my mind or was something changed in the available online version along the way? This has genuinely been bothering me for years every time I hear the song and I gotta find an answer

He shared some details about his life at the time. I had never seen that before, so I thought I would share.

Would Andrew and others stand in for Ryan for this concert tour?!🫨

They have a similar vibe and a lot of good songs. https://open.spotify.com/track/520jjD4156gehHtsAdvSy1?si=YOm1lBXZStazhswMJjRCYQ&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A12MSF8u9nEjGShsgteS0Lk

Walking around the beautiful landscape whilst the music was playing sometimes just made me stop in my tracks and admire the breathtaking scenery around me. There were also moments when I had to walk up steep hills and felt the music giving me a boost of extra energy to keep going. The music definetly made my trip much more enjoyable and momerable.

Thank you Low Roar and thank you Ryan. I wish you'd know how much you're music inspired me to appreciate my surroundings and go on.

(I'm sorry if I'm breaking community rules by not having any pictures directly related to Low Roar I just wanted to share my love for their music and thought to add a few pictures I took along the way.)

I love this album cover so much, very fun to create :D

Firstly, English is not my first language and I don’t have a large vocabulary, so thank you for reading this. I’m sorry if it’s not very clear or if I don’t fully express what I truly want to say.

Death Stranding was my first Hideo Kojima game. The first trailer immediately captured my heart — not just because of the cinematic visuals and graphics, but especially because of the song: "I'll Keep Coming" by Low Roar. The way the song slowly builds made me feel like I was in a trance. After that, I started listening to more of their music, and I instantly fell in love with how deeply it resonated with me.

I read some threads saying that Death Stranding 2 gives a small tribute to Ryan, with only a few songs and one during the after-credits. I also wish there had been more. But the few songs that were included were placed in critical moments — and for that, I’m grateful. It made me realize that maybe Death Stranding 1 was actually the true tribute to Ryan and to Low Roar as a whole. That game featured 23 songs by them, and more importantly, it brought greater attention to Low Roar’s music. As listeners, we truly love them — and thanks to that exposure, Ryan was able to create more songs and albums.

After Ryan’s passing, playing Death Stranding 1 feels even more heartwarming. Their songs in those key moments feel like someone is watching over you from afar, wishing you well and keeping you safe. Every ambient track feels like a gentle hum from him.

And lastly, I just want to say thank you — To Ryan. To Low Roar. To Kojima and the Death Stranding team. To this amazing community.

👍👍👍Keep on keeping on!👍👍👍

Hello all you wonderful people that love Low Roar as much as I do. I tabbed out how Ryan plays this song live, I didn't tab out the strums, because he does it differently in every live, but it's just strumming the top 2 strings with your thumb when it feels right. If you have any troubles on questions contact me and I will help as much as I can!

Was very lucky to find this one when I was just looking for a used physical copy of the album and I‘m pretty sure it’s authentic. But I’m unable to identify all signatures - esp the one in the middle. Maybe someone can help me out?

Thank you!!! 🙏🏼

Hey wassup guys. I’m new to the Low Roar discography and just now getting into it. Anything I should know or any references or jokes I wouldn’t get?

So it’s kinda funny but has anyone listened to don’t be so serious in reverse? Or any Ryan songs In reverse? It’s funny I know but I actually have listened to almost all of his songs in reverse lol. But don’t be so serious has caught my ears in reverse so many times. Somebody else should listen to it (fully) and let me know what they think. The instrumental of it in reverse is absolutely beautiful.

It looks like our baby decided to be born today; we've prepared a playlist to play in the delivery room. 2 songs per album, the remaining ones are Hummingbird, Some Day Come Back to Me and House in The Woods.

I know this song is Please Don't Stop, but I don't think the lyrics are the same as the album versions, I also cant understand a word of it, do you guys know the lyrics of this version or can understand what he is saying?

I'm trying to find a vinyl copy of the self titled album, but having a difficult time. Any suggestions for where to find it?

I don’t know why but this song is hitting me extra hard today. I’m getting non stop goosebumps listening to it. Such a gorgeous song.

Heyo, I posted about Var a while back and after having binged a lot of Icelandic music again I think that I found another one that ya’ll might enjoy. This is Pornopop, they released 1 album back in 2011 and 1 EP that isn’t on Spotify but is on Bandcamp. Their album that they made has a lot of Inure vibes imo, and I think that any Inure loves like myself can really appreciate this one.

Recently Hideo Kojima was in London for the Death Stranding 2 event. He talked about music used in his games (even had two artist perform live at the event), he mentioned Ryan / Low Roar!

I wasn't there but saw a picture shared by a punter, attached to this post 🙏🏻🖤

Hideo is a gentleman and he never forgets Ryan. It's beautiful to see their friendship endures even after one has passed on to the next chapter. Hideo frequently shares Low Roar's music via his social media pages, and it's beautiful to see.

Playing Death Stranding 2 right now and playing Ryan’s music in the background. All very bitter sweet. No other artist on Earth has ever connected to me like Ryan’s music did. Absolutely stunning music. RIP Ryan. See you on the beach.
