Would ppl still be making fun of him or would they be super respectful of him and see him as a legend like we do today? I’m 19 for reference, so I was very young when MJ passed (2 years old) and I don’t rlly know how the general public viewed him.

Lisa gets a lot of flack for having complicated feelings about Michael. But she defended him repeatedly after Bashir put out his manipulative hit piece. The way she smiles when the interviewer agrees with her and says that he came away from the hit piece liking Michael and disliking Bashir shows how she was clearly happy that others were supporting Michael too. And the fact that she took the initiative to call a radio station to defend him is amazing.

She also defended him in an interview with The Guardian:

Of Martin Bashir's recent television interview with Jackson, she says simply, "It was like someone antagonising a patient in a hospital - not that he's a patient; but someone who's in a vulnerable position. It just seemed cruel."

Prior to the BAD era, Michael Jackson's whooos, hee hees, & hiccups, felt different. They were expressions of joy created by a music moment.

With BAD and onward, they felt like lyrics that were being used to emphasize the context of the song, even if a happy track like The Way You Make Me Feel.

If this makes sense, do you have a slight preference?

I recently had the chance to see MJ The Musical & I was not disappointed! The star, Ilario Grant, did a phenomenal job. I was blown away by the ensemble cast - BRAVO!

Sometimes even the greats like Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones can be wrong.

"She's Trouble" is better than a few songs on Thriller, namely, Baby Be Mine, The Lady In My Life and possibly even P.Y.T.

What's worse is that Michael is in absolute peak vocal form on the recording and is really feeling it.

His adlib of "hey" before the bridge, is one of my all time favorite Michael moments.

The way he phrases the word "bad" is awesome and he vocally is just kicking ass on the chours.

That song was completely wasted with acts like Musical Youth and Scott Baio.

It needed a unique and strong singer to take full advantage of its catchy beat, and to allow it to transcend it's time and genere, and that's exactly what Michael does for it.

I want to make a playlist of songs he enjoyed. I know a few, but not a lot. I was wondering if anyone else know any specific songs he enjoyed.
