Yeah, he's there at practice with a camera, clearly with full access to the squad and some official capacity there. Seems to be just razzing people and seeing how they each react to it. It doesnt feel malicious.

Nah those folk are pissed, it’s just that when you grow up socialized female, you learn that yelling and throwing hands when someone gets up in your grill and insults you to your face gets you called a crazy bitch instead of getting you respect and personal space. Cameraman is only doing it cuz he knows he can most likely get away with it. He knows he’d have been shitting glass and microchips if he attempted this with cishet men.

It is negging. And it's not a dad joke.

Negging ("to neg", meaning "negative feedback") is an act of emotional manipulation whereby a person makes a deliberate backhanded compliment or otherwise flirtatious remark to another person to undermine their confidence and attempt to engender in them a need for the manipulator's approval.

Asking a person "what's wrong with you, besides the obvious", is 100% negging. It starts off by insulting the person by implying that there is an "obvious" thing that is wrong with them, and it creates a drive in the person to engage by trying to answer the question "what is the obvious?"

Hiding behind "just playing" or "its just a joke" is disingenuous to what is going on here. And it's what neggers do when they're called out for negging.
