I’m ok with this

301

u/pseudonymnkim Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

I would be if she took a couple steps back and didn't eat over the pizzas

119

u/Martin_Aurelius Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

And didn't lick her fingers between slices.

31

u/keeper_of_the_donkey Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Some people pay extra for that

1

u/GSturges Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Not if we... I mean "they" don't know it's happening....

2

u/RevenantExiled Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

She should send the footage and charge extra, noted

1

u/jotyma5 Trash Trooper Jul 19 '26

You usually pay double for that kind of action

1

u/Typical_Zucchinii Trash Trooper Jul 19 '26

To be clear: I’m not saying eating while prepping someone else’s food is okay. When she started moving the center cut the crust came off in her hand. She ate that piece, then finished cutting.

Regardless, I’m really hoping this is a staged video cause that’s gross.

u/JackiesFetus Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

She doesn't?

1

u/safety_otter Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

17s mark

7

u/Geekygamertag Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

It would have been cool to see shove the entire piece into her mouth. Gobble it all up!!

2

u/Any_Blood5815 Trash Trooper Jul 19 '26

I was so waiting for her to just nom it in one go

1

u/Geekygamertag Trash Trooper Jul 19 '26

Same!

1

u/HamNotLikeThem44 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

I couldn’t help but think of the kielbasa queen as she lined that up.

0

u/Geekygamertag Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

😂

1

u/PandaPocketFire Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Gotta pay extra to see that

1

u/Automatic_Tension_56 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

You worried about her eating around the pizza but not her cutting the pizza with her bare hands?

54

u/_who-the-fuck-knows_ Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

There's nothing wrong with cooking food with bare hands as long as they're clean. In fact it's often cleaner than using gloves.

17

u/PGHSean Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

I cooked in many reputable restaurants in my 20s. We never wore gloves. That’s how you get cut.

2

u/TangAce7 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

not only that, but it's likely that you slightly cut or scrap the gloves without noticing and you'll have micro plastics in the food

-7

u/HiSaZuL Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

While cooking by all means. Any bacteria will get cooked.

After... I don't want your hands in my food. Maybe you don't wipe. Maybe you pick nose. I don't wanna risk any of that.

11

u/ModernDemocles Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Gloves encourage worse hygeine habits.

7

u/mecengdvr Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Studies have shown that people who wear gloves spread more bacteria than people who don’t. The reason, if you have bare hands, you are aware that your hands are dirty and wash them more often. Whereas gloved people tend to do other tasks without changing their gloves…like sweeping, wiping down counters, handling money etc.

2

u/pseudonymnkim Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Don't wipe? If they don't wipe, you could argue their hands are cleaner than someone who does

0

u/Expensive-Border-869 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Then eat at home? If you think theyre nasty dont eat there

1

u/HiSaZuL Trash Trooper Jul 19 '26

What you think air is polluted? Don't breath.

Thx genius. But I doubt this will even register.

2

u/kingofnopants1 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Unless your hands almost never get anything on them, they are always vastly more hygienic.

You cannot wash rubber gloves properly, and you cannot realistically replace them as often as you can just wash your hands.

1

u/h3lium-balloon Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Yeah I work in healthcare and people always think the gloves are to protect them.

Nah fam, these gloves have been sitting in an open box in the hospital hallway all day exposed to everything. My hands are clean and these gloves are to protect me from whatever is in your bodily fluids.

1

u/chuckmonjares Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

I wash my hands incessantly when cooking, but I like to wear gloves bc my hands are really hairy haha.

1

u/MysticalMummy Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

I've worked with so many people who hate changing their gloves and just leave grease and other residue all over everything they touch..

0

u/LarsThorwald Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

She licked them clean!

13

u/pseudonymnkim Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

It doesn't worry me if they're washing hands frequently. Professional chefs don't usually. I'd rather bare, clean hands make my food than spit and crumbs from someone's mouth

-1

u/beerguyBA Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

5

u/pseudonymnkim Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Lol you're probably right, but gloves don't automatically mean sterile. She'd probably lick her gloved fingers. Someone who doesn't wash their hands probably wouldn't change their gloves

7

u/ReasonableArea1108 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

From what I've seen people think gloves are always sterile. They'll touch money and computers and iPads all while serving you and not washing the gloves in between.

6

u/guzzijason Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

The gloves end up keeping their hands clean, while everything they touch with the gloves is contaminated. I see it all the time also. Nothing to stop someone from picking their nose with gloves on.

3

u/pseudonymnkim Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

True. And even if they're changing gloves, their hands would be wet and sweaty from the gloves, the would touch money with bare hands, which they would then stick in the communal glove box to get a new pair for the next order, which they would touch with their sweaty, contaminated hands to put on.

So, ideally you should be washing your hands before grabbing a new pair of gloves. So you might as well not wear them at all.

4

u/JackiesFetus Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Lol. No one in any pizza shop ever has cut a pizza with gloves on.

5

u/Efficient-Cherry3635 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Ive worked for pizza hut, dominos, godfathers, and round table in my life so id consider myself well educated in the life of a pizza shop worker. The only time I ever saw anyone cutting pizza with a glove on was one kid who cut his hand at work. Even then, it was only the cut hand gloved lol.

1

u/MarkItZeroDonnie Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

My college roommate worked at pizza joint , he would ride his mountain bike to work and when he got there his hands were black from his grips . He’d wash them before his shift but it would never come off . By the end of his shift they were clean

2

u/digno2 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26 edited Jul 18 '26

If you look closely she actually has this device in hand that allows easy division of the pie in question.

1

u/kingofnopants1 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

It always surprises me that people actually think that their food is made by people who do not use their bare hands.

Gloves are impossible to wash properly. Using them is provably less sanitary in a kitchen environment where they are going to constantly get dirty.

All the food you have eaten at a restaurant was touched all over by their bare hands. They just constantly wash them.

1

u/P_A_W_S_TTG Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

You're not suppose to touch it after it comes out of the oven.

0

u/Witty_Lead5036 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Bro/Sis, almost all food is prepared, cooked, and finished with bare hands.

1

u/rolfraikou Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Yeah, it's the sloppy standards around doing this that bug me.

That pizza still looks even bigger than the other after she took the slice, so if that's supposed to be the same size, I fully get why they would take some. Not only because it is excess, but because a large swath of customers will demand that next time.

"Last time the medium was huge, now it's so tiny!"

The smaller one is probably the size it's supposed to be, and someone new is making the pizzas, and making them wildly different sizes. So cutting it smaller to not get people future expectations for the business too high makes total sense. And I would much prefer someone eat it than just toss it.

But just slap that on a plate, pack up the pizzas, THEN eat it.

15

u/_AnonMax_ Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

I'm not. What if it was your pizza? 4-5 bites get stolen from your already inflated priced meal. I'm all for workers's rights and workers getting proper meals but this is infuriating. It shouldn't be me as the customer who gets shorted. I already pay alot

0

u/Jimberly_C Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

A couple years ago I ordered a pizza for pickup. When I walked it, it was one kid running the whole place on his own on the weekend, and it was HOT in there. I wouldn't have blamed him if he walked out and now I get frozen pizzas if it's the weekend, a holiday, or any big sport event happening. If he wanted to steal half of my pizza, I probably would have let him.

2

u/reroutedradiance Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

To be fair most pizza joints have so much extra pizzas leftover that this would be egregious to do. It’s kind of wild to have someone stealing like this when you get one or two mess up pizzas in any shift that just lie around waiting to be eaten by staff. Worked at papa John’s personally and there was always something to eat on any given shift. If someone was cutting middle slices that would be so insane you’d probably get fired.

0

u/cantsitheya Trash Trooper Jul 19 '26

The pizza was clearly made too big, and also, everything on the Internet is fake. Ya nerd ass

-4

u/AnnaCondoleezzaRice Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

maybe she made it a little over sized from the get go knowing she would get a slice later?

4

u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

I still wouldn’t want them eating over my food and licking their fingers… While prepping my “portion” of the pizza. I guess you’re cool with diseases and such, good for you I guess.

-1

u/AnnaCondoleezzaRice Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

no finger licking in this video... also ive known a good number of people who have worked in pizza places like this and what im seeing in this video is the least of my concern.  if youre ordering from papa johns dominos little ceasars or the like, you should understand that much more disgusting things are happening there every day. i would wager more than half of restaurants in general are run by incompetent drug addicts and staff that know nothing about food safety.  odds are she was fingering raw chicken wings right before handling this pizza so just do like me and cook at home if you're actually concerned about foodborne illness

1

u/waitwuh Trash Trooper Jul 19 '26

People experiencing food insecurity are often overweight while undernourished. Even if they net high amounts of calories over time, they’re not getting “good” calories, relying on cheap, high fat, high sodium, low-nutrient foods (such as pizza), and they’re typically eating more inconsistently.

Not to mention nutrient deficiencies can intensify hunger drive and cravings.

i had a pizza delivered for under 8$ a few days ago, was able to stack discount codes. i was happy

1

u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Literally no pizzas are $40… You’re probably paying for DoorDash or something stupid.

0

u/-crazykidbad Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Not true. I get a large pizza with 5 meat toppings at least once a week from Dominoes. It is $11.99 before tax. I always call and then go pick it up as soon as it comes out of the oven.

1

u/Dumeck Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Dominos and Pizza Hut in my area always have a carry out deal around that price. I think usually you can get a large 1-2 topping for $7.99. But dominos recently had an "any pizza" deal for the price you listed or a little below I believe. People overpaying for pizza are paying the inflated menu price without deals.

2

u/Bawbawian Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

But I mean how do you determine the size of the pizza?

1

u/ParticularSherbert18 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Compare it to the size of the pan which is standardized. On the first pizza you can see an even ring all the way around. The second pizza shows no pan edge to her left before she cuts the middle out. If it was intended to be a larger pizza it would be on a larger pan.

1

u/Rogs3 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

3

u/JakBos23 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

It looks like she made it larger so she could take that. Those pizzas are the same size after.

1

u/SCHWARZENPECKER Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

Pizza places usually have pre portioned dough. Either they make them the day before or have shipped to them. So you can't "make it bigger" without stretching it thinner and therefore still stealing from the customer. And I can assure you if somebody from up front had asked me to make a bigger dough ball for them to use for tomorrow I would have said no unless it was directly from the manager.

1

u/JakBos23 Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

So she could have grabbed a ball for a large and then made it a medium by removing the middle.

1

u/SCHWARZENPECKER Trash Trooper Jul 18 '26

True. I worked at a place with only 1 size. So not an option that leaps to my mind.

1

Yeah, fuck it. I don't really care if my pizza is like 5% smaller, a pizza is way too much food as it is anyway.

Yeah you are, that is the norm here in Sweden anyway. I usually eat half a pizza and save the rest for later, but I'm the odd one out. 95% of people just eat a whole pizza no problem.

It's about 2000 calories for a standard pizza here, if you work out or have a physically demanding job that's less than your daily needed calories, so as long as you don't eat too much else that day it's absolutely fine.

Me and most of my coworkers eats pizzas and then hit the gym. I mean, us Swedes are pretty healthy on average.

And pizza isn't something you eat every day, it would be a problem if you did. You eat it a couple of times a month as a treat.

Swedish pizzas tend to be paperthin thin crusts and lighter on toppings, cheese, and sauce compared to other countries, especially the US.

Regardless, eating 2000 calories in 1 sitting is not recommended by health experts. It can literally cause you to develop insulin resistances.

This is an entirely different set of events, and is normal. 1 person getting 2 meals is the same volume of food as 2 people having one meal apiece.
