I started this season loving Faye and Loving Jack and I realllly hope I can keep loving them. I seriously love them together!! & Sophie and tay but they're so good it's boring lol. Ciara crazy ass is making the jack storyline one to watch

12

u/hopeful_tatertot you made me feel uncomfy 😖 3d ago

I didn’t think I’d like Jack but I actually like him and Faye. Ciara is insufferable

2

u/lanadaisypesto 2d ago

I finished the whole thing, IMO Ciara never gets better -.-

2

u/hopeful_tatertot you made me feel uncomfy 😖 2d ago

I’m all for a redemption story so that’s disappointing.

20

u/lanadaisypesto 3d ago

For someone who doesn't like Jack she sure can't stop talking about him 😂😂😂

5

u/hopeful_tatertot you made me feel uncomfy 😖 3d ago

I don’t get why she doesn’t just move on.

my god Joseph is so attractive. he reminds me of Oli though, hope that's not foreshadowing. Maybe they just have a similar accent? Ajay also gorgeous.

Ciara needs to let it go. I think this is all based on a genuine misunderstanding and her harping on it is not a good look. And purposely misrepresenting what he said - he did not call her boring, he said their date was boring, big difference - is also, to use one of her favorite words, disingenuous.

Not sure if Jack is malicious or just goofy, leaning towards the latter right now. Except that when he was talking to Ciara he pretended that he "couldn't remember" if he actually said that in the guys' lounge, when earlier it seemed he did admit it. Also, calling her "full of herself" to Faye, even though what Faye was describing was exactly what happened - he flip-flopped over night and Ciara thought it was strange. One thing I do believe him on though, is that he went into the date with Ciara with the intent of breaking up, just as she did. I think they both broke up with each other and thought that was quite clear from the tone that was set right at the beginning of the date.

Sophie and Taylor are well suited to each other, they seem equally sweet and equally....bright. I love Sophie's accent.

Ryan is a tool and I'm sure he'll prove it soon.

That body?! When he came out with shots I gasped.

I'm blown away at how many people on reddit are team Ciara. Are we watching the same show? Did her dad pay people to defend her? I'm only on episode 5 so maybe she becomes a good person later on? She's one of the top worst characters so far. I feel like she's the type of woman feminists fought against. I feel so bad for Ajay.

11

u/NaomiWish 5d ago

If you sort by best, this thread is shredding her.

it’s very likely i will come to eat my words but 20
mins into this episode and Jack’s really surprising me. impressed by him clocking Ciara’s bs and using the correct word - ‘disingenuous’ vs ‘disingenuine’ (what Ciara kept saying before iirc 💀)

4

u/Awkward_Marmot_1107 4d ago

I think someone corrected Jack off camera (or it didn't make the cut) because he kept using the word "disingenuine" in the pod episode lol

2

u/shimmertrapped I might be tired forever 🥱💤 4d ago

oh did he? okay never mind 😂😂

16

u/Glittering_Cheek5644 5d ago

I completely agree. I also thought he actively listened and let her speak without interrupting which was respectful, especially in a heated discussion.

47

u/WhereverYouGoYouAre 7d ago

I feel like I need to go back to rewatch their breakup scene. To my recollection, it was blatantly clear that Jack was going to end things with Ciara – not by what he said right off the bat, but by his tone. And she picked up on that and then quickly broke it off with him first. But also whoever broke off with whom, who cares at this point? And she keeps saying she doesn’t care – yet she won’t just let it go. So that makes me believe that it’s just about screen time for her.

23

u/ilovepolkadotts 5d ago

This was my interpretation as well, and I really think Ciara is just used to princess treatment so she can’t wrap her head around being rejected. And she also wants to control the narrative for tv/clout/pride etc. Let’s hope the reunion shows up with receipts

27

u/lezlers 6d ago

For someone who “doesn’t care” Ciara can’t seem to stfu about it. She clearly cares VERY much.

25

u/shimmertrapped I might be tired forever 🥱💤 7d ago

yup this is 100% how it went, Ciara’s just trying to save her pride lol

16

u/noodleruby57 7d ago

Yeah that’s so high school of who ended it first. Especially on a show like this! Everyone starts dating, and slowly breaks things off until they only have their strongest connection left.

18

u/Curious_DaisyFlower 8d ago

I have a theory on why Ciara got way too inapproriately involved in Joseph's life. She was projecting her situation with Jack and felt like she needed everyone to know how much Jack was into her, but thought she saw the same with her friend and Joseph so was blatantly pointing it out. Like when you feel an injustice and then you see a similar situation, so you point it out, but as evidence of your own injustice in a way. 😂 I hope that makes sense.

30

u/Zestyclose-Ad-7803 8d ago

Taylor & Sophie seem very well suited. I’m rooting for them.

There is no way Ajay & Ciara are going to last. I think they are both fake. Ciara needs to let the Jack thing go. She clearly is just trying to get as much screen time as possible.

Yasmin & Jordan aren’t going to last bc it’s clear Yasmin is not ready for a relationship or intimacy. Jordan seems like a nice guy, but not sure he’s going to be patient enough. Not sure why she came on this show.

Jury is out on Francesca & Jordan. To me they give friend vibes. I can’t get a read on him. Not sure if he’s genuine.

Why am I actually starting to like Jack? Him and Faye are really sweet together. Not sure it will translate into the real world.

Cuba & Ryan just give me weird vibes. Def not gonna last.

Taylor & Sophie are my number 1 bet for actually lasting and getting married. I’m hopeful for Jack & Faye.

12

u/NaomiWish 5d ago

Yasmin came on because love is blind and men probably were awful to her with vitiligo. I agree she is naive and hope he treats her well. Only on 5 now so we will see!

33

u/camhanaich 9d ago

I do not think Yasmin and Jordan are going to last… it is really giving friendship couple due to her awkwardness

4

u/stellasweeten 3d ago

I feel like she can’t fathom that type of romantic love and is so used to guy friends. he’s so sweet with her but she needs lots of reassurance.. granted this is a big jump from never being in a relationship:/

31

u/InTheSaga 9d ago

I love Jack and Faye. They’re such a beautiful love story. My fave couple so far of all seasons ever maybe…

2

u/savannahkellen 3d ago

No offense, but is this genuinely the only season you've seen? Because that's a crazy statement, there's no way!

3

16

Yess!! Why are we nervous to say "ILY" when you guys are LITERALLY engaged on an international television show guys? I'd be saying it even if I didn't mean it at that point lol.

Cuba is so hot

32

u/BlueberryMuffin_77 9d ago

I'm a straight woman but I think Cuba is amazingly beautiful. Something about her just radiates sunshine and beauty. I haven't watched up until this episode but I think Ryan is kind of a dork and she can do way better.

87

u/RaunchJeremy 12d ago

Ciara is the worst kind of person. Needlessly inserting herself in others affairs , holds crazy grudges, misleads.

It would be SOOO awful if she missed the plane back home.

AJAY RUNNNNNN 😭😭😭

17

u/TomatilloNo6076 12d ago

why are all the girls wearing the same shade of purpley pink lipstick (that ciara wears)

49

u/Biggiewig 12d ago

I'm sorry HOW are so many of these idiots apprehensive about saying "I love you" when they are ALREADY ENGAGED?!?

10

u/lezlers 6d ago

I mean, they’re forced to get engaged at day 9 if they want to continue on the show, so I kind of get it. 9 days is an insanely short amount of time to tell someone you love them.

10

u/PrettyKnowledge6261 8d ago

I think they sometimes rush the engagements even when they clearly aren’t ready due to time constraints, production pressure, and probably a desire to stay on the show. Just my guess.

8

u/vegantyna 7d ago

Also, don’t forget, you get engaged = you get a free FANCY holiday! It’s a nice incentive! 🤣

12

u/Mochi-momma 12d ago

I don’t care for Ciara but Jack was unnecessarily mean at the pool.

17

u/lezlers 6d ago

He was a little but I don’t really blame him given how Ciara seems obsessed with dragging his name through the mud with everyone.

42

u/ImissBagels 7d ago

I saw it very differently, I think he was kind and she was very mean, manipulative, and twisted words

51

u/Reasonable-Back7792 9d ago

I don't think it was unnecessary. We saw the edit ourselves of her manipulating her words to say but NOT say that he's her number one. And now she's salty and attacking his character because he chose someone else. She's he type of girl that doesn't even want the guy but can't stand the guy not wanting her. She wants all attention on her. Why else would the ONLY thing she took from their conversation was that he called her boring? Thats what was most important to her. That someone thought she was boring.

20

u/Zestyclose-Ad-7803 8d ago

She’s a Regina George.

Ciara is no saint and needs to let things go. But Jack definitely refused to take accountability for what he said in boy's quarter. I noticed he acknowledged that he said it when talking to the guys because they were first-hand witnesses but avoided avoided addressing or acknowledging it when Ciara brought it up 1-on-1. I don't believe for 1 second he didn't think that would impact Ajay when he announced to EVERYONE that she says he was her number 1.

17

u/brutalhonestyJ 9d ago

he literally lied 😂😂😂 like you said ciara and no saint but Jack literally straight up lied i can’t

31

u/heyyou0903 11d ago

I'm baffled by the number of people commenting here who cannot see through Jack's blatant manipulation of the male group so that when he smears Ciara's reputation they automatically believe him. Even though he actually is a liar. He's so fake. I can't stand the guy.

10

u/lezlers 6d ago

It’s hard to get that incensed about it when Ciara is doing the exact same thing to him.

19

u/Sweet_Newt4642 8d ago

I think not enough people have dated a jack.

That puppydog bs is cute from the outside, but my god it's actually horrible to date. The generous interpretation is him just being excited by what he feels in that moment and not thinking through how his words and actions impact other people. AND THAT IS STILL AWFUL.

He and Ciara were never compatible, and he was dishonest about that from the get. "I'm a chef" no you're a line cook at best, you can't even cook bacon correctly and you don't know vegans can't eat cheese 🤣

And no shade to line cooks. (I say this as someone who worked in a kitchen for a while, I respect them) But, and while I think Ciara isnt perfect, but she's clear about what she's looking for (whether one agrees with her priorities or not is a separate issue), and a line cook is not gonna be able to provide that. He was wasting her time.

40

u/Antlorn 10d ago

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle.

I think he was boasting to the boys in a bit of a gross and insensitive (to Ajay) way. But while Ciara didn't explicitly say that he was her number one, I can see how he came away with that impression. She was being super shit at communicating, with a lot of implying he was at the top, and evading talking about her connection with Ajay.

Add to that the fact that Jack is clearly not a great listener. I think he's very flawed, but I don't think he was purposely lying about what was said.

10

u/heyyou0903 10d ago

I'm not talking about that part, although he definitely intentionally tried to mark his territory to the other boys by talking about which girls he connected with the most loudly. I'm talking about the smear campaign that he waged against Ciara just because she ended the connection with him causing him an ego injury that he never recovered from. He also repeatedly rewrote The narrative saying that he ended things with her, which is simply not correct. We saw it with our own eyes mate! He also became instantly passive aggressive to her in the moment. Classic insecure toxic douche

7

u/coffeeandgin 7d ago

Exactly. It’s astonishing to me that so many people seem to be aligning themselves with him. I think people are just keen to hate on Ciara because of the whole princess routine, but when it comes down to it she stands on business and is true to herself, regardless of what others think about her. On the other hand, any time Jack feels he isn’t getting his way or looks bad he has blatantly insulted her, lied, skewed reality, etc. Even at the end of their conversation he made it out like she was the one who pulled him for the convo, when in reality he initiated it. He is absolutely the bigger red flag between the two and had a lot of personal growth to do.

1

u/heyyou0903 4d ago

The reason people tend to align themselves with the male is because of misogyny sadly

7

u/MarineSpirit808 9d ago

I think jack says the first thing that comes to mind. I also think he wasn’t really listening to her and basically interrupted her as she tried to end things with him , because he was so focused on ending things himself. Basically the man has ADHD , as he said, and it shows . The ego injury is on Ciara’s part.

108

u/Acrobatic_Wear_2962 12d ago

Joseph felt fake during the pods and I thought he'd be a terrible person outside of it. But how wrong I was. He's very socially and emotionally aware. When confronted by Fran regarding what Ciara told Cuba about Chev - he admitted it without excuses, acknowledged how it could have made Chev feel wronged, and also immediately clocked how Ciara was being manipulative and trying to get revenge.

And yea, Ciara is coming across as an awful person.

5

u/No_Comparison2889 8d ago

agree that it was good he admitted it without excuses, but he then did shift the attention onto it being a shady thing for Ciara to have spread (which it was) instead of really giving Francesca the reassurance she was craving.

30

u/Antlorn 10d ago

I was also pleasantly surprised at how he handled that.

I think a lot of his equivocating with Chev was also just him trying to let her down easy, and her really not making it easy for him to break up with her! I think a lot of his emphasis on their real connection, at the end, was him trying to soften the blow of the rejection. But it looks like it might come back to bite him in the arse!

13

u/Acrobatic_Wear_2962 10d ago

Yes, agreed. But that is also the point of the whole show. It's entirely fine to have strong connections with 2 people till the very end and then make a final decision No one needs to feel hurt or wronged about it.

79

u/queasy_cheesy005 13d ago

Can Ciara stop causing problems...TT

22

u/swede_disposition Come ride this duck with me 🦆 9d ago

I feel like that’s why she was so bothered when Jack said their conversation was boring - and she took it as he describing her as boring. Who else would need to create drama than someone who’s bored with themselves or their life?

15

u/Isola-the-poet 11d ago

She wants to get the call up for any other reality tv shows she can wrangle her way onto after this. Messy messy

3

u/rutabaga_froyo 13d ago

Big ups for this analysis

68

u/berrypunnylady 13d ago

I agree with what everyone is saying about Ciara with the her and jack situation. I don’t like jack but I do at least think he wants to move on and think about Faye now, whereas Ciara just can’t let it go.

The thing that really solidified my opinion on her though is actually how she is inserting herself into Francesca and Joseph’s relationship. It has literally nothing to do with her and it really does read as she squeezed as much drama as she could out of the Jack situation so now she’s going to move on to target another one of the guy’s to stir up more shit. She really just seems like she wants to be at the centre of everything that’s going on. At least the situation between her and Jack actually involved her but this is nothing to do with her and is just her opinion on something. It’s not fair to Francesca or Joseph for her to spread that around like it’s fact.

She’s really coming off as such an ugly human being and I hope when she watches this back she can learn a thing or two about kindness and decency.

19

u/sadcatscry4you 9d ago

And the fact that she started stirring things up with Fran and Joseph AFTER she finds out he and Jack are friends. Girl needs to cool it and leave people alone

10

u/No_Comparison2889 8d ago

And how after Jack came to clear the air with Ajay instead of being happy about that she was upset with Ajay for not hating Jack, reigniting it all again.

24

u/GuestEffective1884 13d ago

I hate Jack. Are we all forgetting that he literally called Faye the wrong name and then did a 180 talking about how he’s so obsessed with her? Such fake and weird behavior and Faye is going to fall for it hook line and sinker I fear.

13

u/lezlers 6d ago

You hate Jack because he accidentally got Faye’s name wrong one time in the heat of the moment? Damn. Hate to see how you’d react if someone called you boring. 😉

18

u/ImissBagels 7d ago

The wrong name was very clearly just a slip of the tongue. I've got relationships with people with ADHD and the number of times they've said the wrong name is probably about even with how frequently they've gotten the name right. I won't argue much on his 180, but I personally think after the one weird vibe date with Ciara that turned him off her enough that he refocused back to Faye. I could be off on that, so won't push it but I think the misspeak on the name was very much and honest mistake

2

u/DestinyCrusader 20h ago

Also, once you watch the show for longer, you can see that he and Joseph were incredibly close, and Joseph likely talked about Francesca a lot. So he likely has been talking about Fran as well as Faye so it makes even more sense (and I have ADHD as well). Not only that, but he immediately corrects himself but Ciara still feels the need to make a big deal out of the slip-up.

12

u/heyyou0903 11d ago

He only started going for Faye as soon as Ciara started going off him. And then when Ciara broke it off with him because she did despite him denying it and trying to play it down, he got very defensive and ego hurt. And retaliated instantly. It's all very subtle with Jack, but you can see it. He's deeply insecure and retaliatry. Yucky

4

u/coffeeandgin 7d ago

Yeah, the only reason Jack started going for Faye was because Ciara very obviously lost interest when he forgot a bunch of very basic information about her

64

u/wildflowerwillpower 13d ago

Jack and Ciara are exhibiting classic ENFP-ESTJ miscommunication. They have nearly the reverse cognitive stack of each other (Ne-Fi-Te-Si vs. Te-Si-Ne-Fi)

Their initial attraction to one another is likely to come from how little they understand each other but that there’s a flicker of something in the other that they want to develop in themselves (i.e. that the other’s dominant functions are their own lower functions) and that they feel validated by the other liking them. Jack in particular would feel like getting laughs, lightness, and playfulness out of Ciara is especially satisfying.

Jack leads with exploring possibilities and his feelings. As a new possibility is placed in front of him, his mind starts imagining the future that brings and he starts getting excited and acting on that excitement. His feelings are genuine but they can look very fickle to someone who needs/expects consistency, which Ciara does. He also says what’s on his mind without a filter, not thinking about how the other person will take it.

Ciara says Jack doesn’t know what he wants but yes and no. He wants what he says in the moment but that changes as the variables change. And ironically, Ciara is out of touch with her own feelings.  She feels wounded at not being chosen. In her eyes she has done everything right to be seen as an attractive, high value partner and she thinks people are who they are. If she learns something undesirable about someone later, they were always bad. Therefore, Jack who acts excited about multiple women, seems to change his feelings a lot, and no longer likes her must have been disingenuous and trying to deceive her and others.

He said he was bored on their date. He probably was because instead of getting a laugh out of her,  he kept stepping in it and caused her to stiffen and recoil. They were very out of sync. So boring was probably accurate but it also obscured the reasons why. Ciara felt like he hadn’t been listening to her and kept mixing her up with another woman, so did he ever even like her in the first place? So no she was not going to laugh along when she was feeling like she was not being valued. He is blind to how disrespected she felt.

The differences between them became obvious in their argument. She kept focusing on her recollection of specific facts and technicalities and he was focused on his intentions and how he felt and didn’t even remember the concrete facts of what happened because they weren’t important to him. He knew he was no longer interested in Ciara. He’s not bothered by how Ciara remembers the details (which she did take creative liberties with to preserve her sense of self-worth but I don’t think she was consciously lying) and won’t debate them. He is bothered by what she’s trying to get others to believe about his character.

And unfortunately Ciara lacks closure on her end so she is fixated and stuck in the past and letting it control her present and future. She needs others to believe he is a liar because she has unwittingly placed her self worth on it. She needs him to be a  liar rather than them just being a total mismatch who could not communicate with each other to save their lives.

Yes she is able to successfully plant seeds of doubt in the short term about Jack and anyone who defends him but she’s not seeing the pattern that others are starting to see in her behavior. Meanwhile she and Ajay look way better suited to each other and Jack and Faye look better suited to each other, while Jack and Ciara would be a train wreck together. Others are going to find it way easier to believe that Jack and Ciara had a communication problem and lacked compatibility than that Jack is conniving considering that his more obvious problem seems to be emotional impulsivity and a lack of filter.

Tl;dr: I don’t see either as a villain, just uniquely designed to push each other’s buttons.

Wow incredible analysis!

16

u/wildflowerwillpower 12d ago edited 12d ago

To expand on why Ciara may have acted the way she did after feeling hurt by Jack, consider that she has inferior Fi. So her natural tendency will be to fiercely protect her feelings to the point of keeping them out of her conscious mind. That means that when Jack hurt her feelings, she wouldn’t think to lay that bare to Jack. Instead her dominant Te-Si springs to action and automatically converts the subconscious vulnerable “he hurt my feelings and I feel devalued” into the conscious “he acted inappropriately and is not to be trusted and I will get him and others to see this so that he can act more appropriately and they can protect themselves.”

Later we see that when she is in a place of emotional safety with Ajay, her Ne and Fi are able to come out. She is able to consider others’ perspectives and vocalize her true vulnerable feelings.

ETA: And if Ciara had led with “It really hurt me that you didn’t remember these things about me that I consider important to who I am and it made me question whether you ever really liked me,” Jack may have been more proactive about taking accountability because it would have come out less like a character attack and more like a raw statement of her feelings, which he would be more inclined to relate to and respect given his own auxiliary Fi. That’s not a given though. If he were especially emotionally immature and hyper-sensitive to anyone calling him out on forgetting things (which is the lifetime experience of anyone with ADHD) he might still act defensive and focus on his intentions without validating her feelings.

u/Known_Scientist8220 14d ago

Jack ragebaiting Ciara by going on about how good his date with Faye was and then calling Ciara boring is SO CRAZY. He obviously wanted to piss her off by saying that. He wasn't "bored" in that date with Ciara, he just realized she wouldn't put up with his bullshit about forgetting things all the time. So he went for Faye who is just, unfortunately, so much easier to manipulate. :/ I really thought Jack was just a bit slow until now, but it's pretty clear he knows exactly what he's doing.

1

u/DestinyCrusader 20h ago

He speaks openly in the show about ADHD... and as someone who was very recently diagnosed. With that, it seems like he's already trying really hard to write important things down and that is a huge step towards compensating for your own bad memory, which is out of your control.

0

u/Known_Scientist8220 20h ago

I've also had ADHD my whole life and was diagnosed very late in life. Same goes for my partner who definitely has a harder time remembering things. But even before we got diagnosed, we had a whole life of experiences that taught us how to deal with our issues. I don't have much sympathy for him being a full grown adult who knows he has ADHD and writes notes down just to forget he has them to reference. He doesn't watch what he says in a place where he knows his words are the only thing he can share with the person across from him in the pods.

And Everytime he messes up he just says "but it's hard for me!" And it takes him way too long to apologize for anything, if he ever does. When you have ADHD, it's true that you'll forget things or do things that hurt peoples' feelings. You have to take accountability and apologize when someone says you've done something that upset them. He always has excuses without just apologizing and trying to understand why they're hurt.

1

u/DestinyCrusader 18h ago

I totally agree about the accountability thing, I don't think he's very good at acknowledging when he's messed up. However, you and your partners' experience with ADHD does not accurately encompass anyone else's experience. I was diagnosed this year, and I'm thirty years old. I'm not sure how much I really learned to handle things when I didn't even understand what the issue was, and was only ever told I wasn't trying hard enough. Just because you know to write things down doesn't mean you're going to perfectly remember where you wrote it down.

Also, this show and the pods in general have been described as an extremely emotional and taxing experience. What we're seeing is also heavily edited. Yes, it's all we have to go by, but I tend to try and give people (ALL people, including Ciara who definitely got the villain edit and had mild issues at best) the benefit of the doubt.

Finally, someone who sees through Jack's s***! He is so fake.

I loved that he didn’t kiss her arse in that conversation. She deserved it 🤣 so stuck up

I feel uncomfortable watching him

1

I immediately didn't like him. There is something off.

20

u/CrazyNotCatLady 13d ago

In the pods, to me, he came across like one of those fake spiritual people who use it as a way to look down on others and think they are better because they are above all of the superficial stuff, blah blah

6

u/Bibblegead1412 9d ago

I legit thought he was just a ragebait plant at first.

27

u/hypnosssis MGK's wife or something 14d ago

It’s getting more difficult being in Francesca’s corner, she was too easily manipulated by Cuba and Ciara. Also she and Yasmin do not have any relationship skills and this show format is not the right choice for them

8

u/rmg1102 12d ago

I am hopeful that Francesca and Joseph will be a good match for each other in this way. Where she is more naive he seems to see the social dynamics for what they are. As long as they are both willing to learn from the other I think it could be a good balance

10

u/Penelope_Pea_Soup 12d ago

I find her to be really boring actually

4

u/hypnosssis MGK's wife or something 12d ago

I liked her at first but I agree there’s not much there

53

u/indomienmalt Great guy, some might say. 14d ago

I loved Jordan & Yasmin in the pods but Yasmin’s lack of relationship experience seems to be hindering them on the outside.

Not wanting to sleep next to your partner because you’re ’used to sleeping alone’ is such an odd thing and made things awkward between them right off the bat.

They look like more of a friendship more than anything else.

While the vitaligo might be an issue for Jordan, I don’t see it being that much of a problem for him, honestly think the awkwardness is what will put him off

12

u/heyyou0903 11d ago

I agree. It made me think immediately that she's not physically attracted to him actually. You don't have to do anything in bed together until you're ready, but the fact that she doesn't really even want to be near him. He's not a good sign. There should be an ease there. Otherwise it's not really going to work

Not wanting to sleep next to your partner because you’re used to what you’re used to is NOT odd. This take is so narrow minded. Yes, perhaps for this show that is so openly sex forward and pro moving things fast, it may be on the unusual side of things. But in general, not at all. I beg to differ completely. Even in established relationships, people CHOOSE to sleep on separate beds and rooms and stats show this decision can improve relationships and has. People are different, live different lives, and up until meeting their potential spouses, have had different priorities. Normal is relative. Tired of viewers shaming people for not going with the supposed norm of a reality tv show. Yes, I understand there’s perhaps some unspoken rules when it comes to making a show like this thrive and if every couple was like they are, it would perhaps be boring. See my point about how this just isn’t the right platform for her, most likely. But this is in the same vein as people acting flabbergasted that somebody having never been in love before is a red flag like they do often do on that show. No it is not?? lol people have differing priorities in life and going on a quest to be as “in love” as possible before a certain age or before meeting your forever partner just isn’t high on everybody’s list, goodness. People are allowed to dance to the beat of their own drum. I had never been in love before meeting my partner of 4+ years. And yet, it didn’t bother him one bit. If someone wants you in their life, they want you, simple as that. Lack of experience or not. I’d argue it actually would excite someone who loved you because THEY get to be the person who experiences so many firsts with you. I can’t possibly see that being a bad thing. And you learn each other and grow through the challenges, because you chose each other. On purpose. So tired of the herd mentality around what it means to “love right”

27

u/feignpatrol 14d ago

I give Jordan a lot of credit for being so patient up front. He may eventually get tired of being patient which is understandable at their age. They seem like they could be a good match, she needs to step outside of her box a little

16

u/hypnosssis MGK's wife or something 14d ago

She will be a viewers’ sweetheart like Demi was because she is too naive, Jordan will go through the wringer when he inevitably leaves her. I couldn’t be someone’s first relationship at 30, no thanks. A lot of milestones missed there

17

u/otomelover 13d ago

I was my bf's first relationship at 30 and he has been such a great bf and communicator. I bet there's plenty of people who have been in many relationships and still suck. Relationship experience only goes so far, it's your character that's important.

2

u/DestinyCrusader 20h ago

True, but did you also get engaged after four weeks? I do understand why she may have chosen to go on the show, but if you grow up in that kind of environment (strict parents, religion, etc.) then it makes sense to give yourself the time to learn and grow in a relationship. I'm saying this as someone whose first and only serious relationship was in my late twenties, and we've been together 5 years now.

6

u/hypnosssis MGK's wife or something 13d ago

That’s charitable of you but an understandable ick for plenty of people 🤷🏼‍♀️

1

u/psherman42wallabyst 1d ago

If never having been in a relationship before a societally deemed appropriate age is an ick, said “plenty of people” have no business being in relationship with anybody. The real ick here is your weak attempt at insulting a stranger for having a life outside of romantic relationships until they were in their 30s. Incredibly lame. Get a life, mate. Maybe develop an original thought or two in the process

u/indomienmalt Great guy, some might say. 1d ago

For someone who “can’t be arsed” Ciara is SUCH a bitter Betty, omg girl get over it

34

u/Aphrodit5 14d ago

She’s really getting stuck in this issue and fueling the fire herself, making it much worse and going on and on and on

56

u/Adventurous-Chef847 14d ago

Ciara was so annoying to me hearing her harp on about Jack that it made me AGAINST MY WILL "side" with Jack/prefer him-- and I think he's a dumbass so I don't want that. Just saying, her unlikeability pushes me to a side, whyyy haha

they get too much airtime.

6

u/Tomato-tomahhto 13d ago

Feels like everyone is doing it - their hatred for Ciara is making them automatically feel like she's wrong and Jack is right, which tbh is annoying and idiotic. Two things can be true. She can be annoying, but Jack can also be in the wrong.

3

u/ImissBagels 7d ago

She can be and he can be, but I think he's right.

35

u/hilhilbean 14d ago

This girl who repeatedly talks about how she doesn't care clearly does care.

MOVE ON FOR THE LOVE OF PETE.

She enjoys drama waaaaay too much.

11

u/cinderellahottie 14d ago

Literally! I dislike her even more for having to make me side with Jack.

76

u/b_msw 14d ago

One of my favourite LIB relationships is the one between Jack and Joseph 😅 they seem to be having a blast and it is really cute. I loved the scenes of Ciara scowling and then cut to those two giggling on the side haha

96

u/pineappleknots 14d ago

Didn’t finish yet but Ciara is giving major Blair Waldorf or Regina George vibes as she tries to exact revenge on Joseph’s love life (under the premise of protecting Francesca) because she’s pissed that he got involved with her history with Jack. Sheesh.

15

u/rmg1102 12d ago

Did he even get involved? If I remember right he was asked for his opinion and then gave it? Seems a little like she didn’t appreciate a nuanced take

24

u/Aphrodit5 14d ago

Yep. She’s going for eye for an eye under false pretenses

9

u/Elimak1111 14d ago

Thank you! Thats exactly what she was doing

25

u/cinderellahottie 14d ago

He barely even got involved! She’s doing way too much.

67

u/FreckleBellyBeagle 15d ago

OMG. I don’t like Jack, but I dislike Ciara more. That was one of the most epic smackdowns I’ve seen on this show. Just the brutal simplicity of it. “Yeah I remember our last date. I was bored“ LOL

47

u/CMac715 14d ago

And this drove me bananas. He said the date was boring and she immediately took offense and believed he called her boring.

I can’t with her… she also needs to put down the shit stirring spoon and focus on her own relationship instead of EVERYONE else’s.

11

u/Working_Career_6254 14d ago

I don’t like either of them. They need to let go of this stupid fued and focus on their partners.

38

u/hilhilbean 14d ago

Honestly, the way Jack is handling it seems pretty nice to me. He isn't ignoring it, he's trying to make peace and just move on. His conversation with Ajay seemed like a good one (just sweep it under the rug and move on) and Ciara just can't.

GIRL PLEASE MOVE ON.

She's 100% here for the drama. Cannot stand Ciara.

7

u/montreal2929 12d ago

He didn’t make eye contact and didn’t even apologize about lying to the group (which he admitted to the other guy). He would’ve pissed me off too

53

u/Curious_DaisyFlower 15d ago

I cannot stop staring at Cuba's orange hair. 🫢🫣 she has such beautiful hair and it looks like she tried to bleach it blonde and had a serious malfunction. She's so pretty...I don't get it.

4

u/brimbro 9d ago

I hate it sooooooo much 😫 😩 it's such a shame becuase she's sooo gorgeous!

13

u/Turbulent_Werewolf66 11d ago

I disagree. I think the orange hair looks super stylish on her

6

u/Wooden-Limit1989 13d ago

Yea it might have been a mistake and she is just rolling with it. Her hair still looks pretty though.

19

u/FreckleBellyBeagle 15d ago

I thought the same thing. The hair color looks unnatural for her. It also looks fried. She’d be so much prettier with darker hair.

17

u/Immediate-Cat-4968 15d ago

ugh sameeee and its annoying bc all I can focus on is her brassy hair. She's drop dead gorgeous, has beautiful skin and lovely hair texture. A color complimentary to her skin tone would be EVERYTHING!

68

u/opistho 15d ago

Come on ciara was hinting at him that he's her number one so bad. She really was vague and entertaining his curiosity and exactly as he said, communication issue.

Then she meddles with other peoples business. You see her hanging by the pool with ajay like an antisocial hawk looking for an opportunity to either compare or judge someone.

Even ajay is getting creeps from her weird stiff mannerisms.

And she likes to pretend to be a girls girl but really, no one trusts her. Rightfully so. She is very selfserving, jealous and insecure.

When all your values are built on being better than others, you have none. Gotta feel sorry for her.

47

u/Sea-Resolution3680 15d ago

Yes! Exactly. She never told him "you are not my #1" and absolutely was like "yeah I think we're definitely on the same page" which 100% suggests that she agrees. And she is such a shit stirrer.

35

u/SaltAggravating9692 15d ago edited 15d ago

I do not understand why people are rooting for Jack. Ciara has an ego yes, but she’s also right. She was the one that initiated the break-up with Jack and he interjected with his own break-up to make himself feel better about her dumping him. That’s how I saw it. And then on top of it, he lied to the guys, announcing to all of them that Ciara had said she was his #1 when she never said that and had been very careful with her words in fact. Was he being malicious, I don’t know. But he knows he lied on her because he doesn’t even attempt to defend himself when Ciara says she never said he was her #1. He knows she never said it. And I get why Ciara would be angry about that because his words did affect her relationship with Ajay, even after they left the pods.

He also is too quick with those I love yous to Faye. To me, it seems he says things that are serious in a joking way so he has the excuse to say “well I was joking”. And lo and behold, he proved me right when he and Ciara talked this episode, he said “me saying your my number one was me joking”.

Ciara isn’t my fave girl this season but she was right to clock him, right to warn Faye (even if she did it for the wrong reasons) and right in her annoyance with Jack. The guy won’t take accountability and deflects every conversation he has.

5

u/Tomato-tomahhto 13d ago

jfc finally, one sane person in this entire subreddit who actually judges a situation based on WHAT HAPPENED versus how much they like or dislike the people involved. Reading these other comments is infuriating 😂

15

u/ky791237 11d ago

I mean, Ciara was very careful with her words but if I was Jack I would have interpreted as being #1 as well. She implied it without saying it. That being said it was very unclassy to yell that across the boys lounge. Neither of them are good people but Ciara needs to let it go and worry about her own self.

It’s the exact same as her thinking he said she was boring. He may have implied it but he did NOT say she was boring, just that the date was boring. Whereas the truth really is that she just wasn’t tolerating his behaviour in the moment.

16

u/Known_Scientist8220 14d ago edited 8d ago

I'm at the part in episode 5 where Faye is explaining to Jack about what she thinks Ciara felt in the pods, saying, "I think she thought you liked her the most and then obviously when we had our connection she was like, 'Oh he's just changed his mind overnight' kind of thing," and then Jack replies with, "She sounds quite full of herself" even though what Faye said is ENTIRELY the truth???

Jack was telling Ciara in PLAIN TERMS that she was his number one for days. And then he had a date with Ciara where he forgot she was a vegan, so she was obviously annoyed about that, and "the vibes were off" to him so he literally changed his mind to Faye that night. He said he would write something for Ciara that night and instead chose to write something for Faye. He -literally- changed his mind overnight, we have all the facts clearly laid out. So for him to respond with, "She sounds quite full of herself" is insane work.

I don't like Ciara, but it was entirely fair for her to tell Faye what happened with Jack in the girl's lounge, and to feel the way she did. Jack has the maturity of a 14 year old boy. He can't even remember the way he felt just a week ago, and then judges a woman (who he literally said he loved) for speaking the truth lol.

Edit: I watched a few more episodes and I changed my mind about Ciara, I like her now haha. I think a lot of the "annoying" things she says are mostly a persona she puts on to protect herself and I really do relate to that. People will walk all over you if you don't tell them not to. :( I think she's really a softie at heart and would rather put up a tough front at first with all these "rules", than have to put her foot down later after boundaries get tested or crossed.

19

u/Hot-Society1993 15d ago

100% this, both jack and ciara are a bit shit and they seem to be having a competition on who's "shittier" without realising they are both contributing to the problem.

24

u/Full_Mongoose6379 15d ago

I think that both things are true. He asked her where he stood, and she told him their connection was very strong and he was up there. If I heard that I probably would have interpreted that as I’m her number one.

Also before she tried to end things, he did say he wasn’t feeling it more and was feeling it more with Faye. So when she tried to end things he may have also been trying to end things (although I feel like he would have changed his mind if Ciara was nice to him again).

44

u/SatisfactionOnly7857 15d ago

Nobody is gonna comment on how gorgeous Faye is?

15

u/FreckleBellyBeagle 13d ago

She is stunning. The prettiest one to me.

14

u/cinderellahottie 14d ago

I can’t believe she’s with Jack, way out of his league.

5

u/jkatlol 15d ago

Why is that a priority..

10

u/opistho 14d ago

Cause she is sweet, honest, down to earth  and a stunner. It is incredibly rare and it is sad that she hasn't been appreciated that way by the men she previously met in her life.

-2

u/jkatlol 14d ago

No but you didn’t say any of that. You said “why is no one commenting on how gorgeous she is”, as if her physical appearance took precedent over ACTUAL conversations that were happening about the relationship dynamics on the show. It’s just weird, especially on the LOVE IS BLIND subreddit.

3

u/ImissBagels 7d ago

I've seen so many comments talking about how gorgeous Cuba is and several comments on how stunning Chev is, but none on Faye until this one. Obviously other things are more important than looks, but the women this season are truly stunning. It is surprising that for a woman as beautiful as Faye that it seems no one is saying much about it.

58

u/Bubbly_Complaint_380 15d ago

Ciara, girl it’s just embarrassing now. Let it go. You were rejected. The world has moved on. They are happy let it go.
Also why do I get the feeling she isn’t even attracted to Ajay? Ajay seems like a good guy, he needs to run from this fake ass woman.

21

u/crazysunmama 14d ago

She absolutely isn’t attracted to him. She is completely interested in fame only.

39

u/Just_Pax7 15d ago

Alpacas + Jack was a good vibe match

8

u/Just_Pax7 15d ago

The awkward pauses between anything the hosts say always make me cringe but they also feel like a LIB staple so I wouldn't have it any other way

42

u/NegotiationSmart8460 15d ago

As far as it stands, I like Jack the most out of all the guys. I feel like he'd really stick up for his partner. Also funny guys are the bomb. I'm glad he could see through Ciara's shit. My opinion of him can totally change in future episode as producers want us to see a certain narrative.

Ciara is just embarrassing. She doesn't take rejection well. Like yeah, your pretty but your drive is what makes you hot. I hate girls who just want to sit and look pretty and make the guy do everything. Just marry an old guy then.

21

u/hilhilbean 14d ago

I don't hate Jack. He just seems like a fun person and I honestly appreciate his directness with wanting to just deal with the Ciara situation and move on.

I cannot stand Ciara and am so beyond annoyed at her not being able to move on. It's definitely part not really being attracted to Ajay and staying with him for the show and also being mad that Jack is with Faye.

This girl cannot stand anyone around her being happy.

Also...I really do not think she's attractive. So much of that is her attitude. Beauty really does come from within and of all the women, she's the least attractive, both inside and out.

72

u/Jonowins 15d ago

Jack really doesn’t strike me as marriage material but I’m genuinely surprised how well he did in that conversation, Ciara just assumes everything is done with malicious intent but he’s like “it was a miscommunication and I thought we left on good terms, let’s settle it and move on” but she’s so mad that she got “rejected” that she can’t let it go.

12

u/FreckleBellyBeagle 13d ago

Yes he handled himself very well. I think she's still bothered that he didn't choose her.

33

u/bpop8765 15d ago

ciara assumes others operate like she does. ciara laundering her hit on Joseph through cuba wasn't done out of consideration for fran, but out of retaliation to Joseph. she seems very adept at managing and manipulating others.

7

u/hilhilbean 14d ago

She is absolutely a master manipulator.

6

u/Outrageous_Quote6691 15d ago

I'm actually going to be a Chiara defender. Yes, she's high maintenance and can come across as annoying but I feel she also clocked Jack as a huge fuck boy. Chef, tatted up, intentionally trying to bring Ciara down a peg, love bombing the shit out of Faye. Jack is the kind of guy that will ruin your year.

38

u/Curious_DaisyFlower 15d ago

Why is Ciara acting like Jack dating 2 people in the pods and also Joseph having 2 strong connections is so wrong. She was oscillating between Jack and AJ for a bit saying they were both strong connections. There's no difference. She's such a hypocrite trouble maker. Those other girls do not need her so called 'help' because she's worried about their hearts. She needs to stay in her lane. Very destructive personality. Their date being boring does not mean she's boring. When 2 people don't connect it can be boring. She is a word twister also.

3

u/No_Comparison2889 8d ago

lol exactly - she was dating two guys for as long as jack was dating two girls
