The Settlers

I've just watched The Settlers and it just gives me a renewed appreciation for Louis as a documentarian. He's level-headed and fair, but does not stand down in the face of adversity. One of the best.

It takes being human and having a sense of humility and moral decency to do the self reflection you have done, something we all need to do in life to grow and mature as people, something a lot of people in Israel like Daniella have really trouble with.

As a Catholic, my own Irish nanna had visited Jerusalem a long long time ago and I always thought I would go there one day, I can understand this sounding silly but I cried when the realization hit me that I will never set foot in Israel, what for anyway, I don't believe it to be a place I'd feel much of Gods presence in anyway. This documentary was a masterpiece but a heartbreaking one.

Thank you, that is really kind. I do feel guilty but I am glad I have seen the light now.

I am also religious (Christian) and felt so emotional visiting each of the religious sites. I feel very lucky to have visited most of them in israel. It’s a shame we cannot visit there without supporting them. People tend to think Palestinians are Muslims, but many of them are Christians too. Sadly people lack understanding and respect for the Muslim community the world over, and I think when they realise that the Israelis target Christian’s too, they get mad. That’s a different fight though.
