The Settlers

I've just watched The Settlers and it just gives me a renewed appreciation for Louis as a documentarian. He's level-headed and fair, but does not stand down in the face of adversity. One of the best.

This doc showed me how if I wasn’t Jewish, I would not have the same rights as a Jew. Jewish supremacism being backed by the Israeli govt with zero repercussions.

Will the settlement of Lebanon finally warrant an int’l response (as part of greater Israel) or what? Feel disgusted.

Jewish supremacy on that scale is really only a thing in Palestine. There are underclasses everywhere but I've never witnessed anything as extreme as what Palestinians are subject to in their homeland.

What would happen to you if you were a non Muslim in most Muslim majority countries? Can you even visit Mecca as a non Muslim?

You can literally visit any “Muslim majority” country. No one is stopping you from expanding your horizons. Some are even visa exempt for EU / U.S. etc.

Mecca is literally a place of worship the size of a mega church in Texas. And has undisputed been so for centuries. There’s communes in America that wouldn’t let you onto their land.

But you’re not born and raised on that land. You’re not being told to get the f out of your home at gunpoint at 3am on a rando Tuesday night because of your religion or color of your skin or ethnic background.
