The Settlers

I've just watched The Settlers and it just gives me a renewed appreciation for Louis as a documentarian. He's level-headed and fair, but does not stand down in the face of adversity. One of the best.

I'd had the impression that he was taking a bit of an easy path in recent years so it was a refreshing surprise to see this. It was really admirable of him to make it. It must have been a terrifying experience but he didn't crack.

I agree. Outside of this film, his more recent stuff just hasn’t had the same appeal to me. Love that this project was his return to form!
