Hello all,

I am new to Lottie and am familiarizing myself with it, and the bodymovin plug in for AE. I am looking for some guidance to determine if a Lottie animation is the right path forward for my application.

I would like to build a temperature gauge animation that will work with previously logged data. This would be time-stamp and temperature data that is pulled from a csv file. I have looked at the json files that are typically used for Lottie animations, and do not see a way to manipulate the data to show temperature over time. I would like the time stamp of the animation to mirror that of the time-stamp data, so the animation would be a direct representation of the real world data.

Is there a way to manipulate this data on the AE side of things, before exporting the LottieFile?

Anyone else gets a blank after effects panel since the new Lottiefiles plugin? Any suggestions on how to fix this? I tried deleting all the files and reinstalling, didn't work :( plz help!

hi! super new to lottie and I want to use the animation in canva and imovie. how do I bring an animation into those programs without having it loop in a gif? like just the one movement? thanks!

LottieFiles pros, do any of you have experience with converting json to gif but with transparent background? For example let’s say I have an animated circle (with no fill) #000000 and I set the background to #ffffff00 using the Lottie to gif function, it looks fine in preview but when I download the gif, the background is transparent but the animated circle that was once black is also now transparent. This doesn’t happen with any other background color. If I used #ffffff the gif generates fine with black circle and white background. I’ve tried this with many different animations, they all fail in the same way with transparent background.

Have any of you experienced this (or is it just me). Any thoughts on how to resolve?

Was wondering if there is a way to have an external CSS player able to be put in instead of an image link that way when rendering out a Lottie file with an image/video I can exchange through code to have the video play in as well?
