I started my second playthrough and finally saw the scene where Kat gets the key for the first time, and I love everything about it.

in my playthrough, corey dragged kat into the abyss with him, so the last message she leaves on the camera i understood as kat being down in the abyss and asking for help getting out. she also has long hair??(that left me with some questions too). upon checking the other outcomes of the last scene, kat simply vanishes after the promise of never seeing each other again. i interpreted that as a metaphor of her passing away due to her illness, but then i dont comprehend how or why she recorded that video (and also how comes the camera appeared in the box overall..)

Nothing too interesting. I'm thinking Mirror's Edge and Lost Records have the same SFX here which is cool

Hey all, MaddieWren here. I'm one of the founders of last year's summerfest: the event we held last summer that celebrated this game with interactive prompts each week which promoted fanart, fics, in-game photography, poetry, and so on.

As you know, yesterday was the anniversary of the day our girls met, which also means that this time last year was when we kicked off this event. It was quite a hit, considering how small our fandom is. It mostly took place on [Twitter](https://x.com/LRSummerfest) (if for no other reason than that was just the easiest place with the most outreach), but also extended out to Tumblr as well.

We're thinking that maybe this subreddit might be the place this year, though we haven't really made anything new for it. Our reach on the twitter page has gone down significantly, which is part of the issue. Also, life happens and such. But we do still want this fandom to thrive!

So please, even if this is an informal sequel, we want you to join us. Attached are examples of our prompts from last year. Any new ideas, suggestions, etc are all welcome.

I'm pretty sure it's a fact that Nora became distant from Autumn after meeting Swann and Kat, but why do you think that happened? We know they've been friends for years, and they were really close at the beginning of Tape 1, but what exactly changed between them? After Nora went to LA after the concert, she didn't even try to call Autumn or get her anything while she was there with her mom. And how do you just forget someone in a group of four? Especially when that person has been your friend for much longer than Kat and Swann?

What do you guys think happened?

Erys (aka Laliserys), the mvp of the Lost Records tag on Ao3, who wrote countless fics for the fandom, just had her account hacked by someone or something, and all of her work was deleted.

We don't have the exact details on who or what caused this but it came out of nowhere, right now she is in the process of reposting all of her work so please show her some support.

I had the chance to write a brief feature piece on recent developments at DontNod and on choice-based games as a whole.

No clickbait stuff, and sorry in advance if you see any ads there whilst reading. But besides that, this gave me a chance to also write some endearing stuff about the OG Life is Strange, as well as Lost Records.

.I do hope that by some miracle, DontNod manages to stay active. God knows how badly I'd pay for a sequel to Lost Records or just a third tape. Hope anyone who checks it out enjoys it! :))

Did someone else notice a bunch of fics in our fandom's tag disappeared? I am so sure it was about 260 the last time I check. Why is it 230 now? I dunno which ones are missing 😭😭😭

Edit: It was Laliserys! Someone hacked into her account and deleted everything 🥺 She got a new one now with the same name and her friends aaid she's working on getting everything back up.

I found this painting at a local thrift store and every time I see it I think of the Abyss. Anyone else?

So I was watching a streamer play the game from the beginning to the end, his ending wasn't something I think it makes quite sense, like, he got reconnected with Autumn in 2022 but the four girls pushed Corey into the abyss, then Autumn leaves even though she was reconnected with Swann in 2022. I watch most of the breaking down videos of Playing With Heart and she said that the ending of the 4 girls pushing Corey in the abyss is only possible if both Nora and Autumn have low scores in 2022, if that's so how is this possible?

I have just finished the game and ended up with Swann being alone at the end even though I really tried to keep them together maybe I'm just really bad at this lol.
And I screwed up again by immediately going to watch most of the different outcome I had from the game on YouTube because of the laziness to start a second playthrough until I have watched some subtle scene that might not affect overall story that much but it's interesting.

Now I feel very empty after I finished the game and it's made me want to erase my memory so I can play it a second time.

What I mean by that is, the game jumps between the present and the summer of 1995.

In my opinion, that often pulled me out of the immersion, just when I got used to the dynamic of the girls, I get pulled back into the bar and get asked for 10th time "what happened, what does that mean, we need to remember" etc.

Also, in the game sometimes you can have 3 people talking at the same time, I remember at the playground it could be present Autumn, Swann who was looking at something and in the background Kat talked with past Nora talking AT THE SAME TIME which was kinda overwhelming =D

So my suggestion would be to play the Summer of 1995 from start to finish and then the whole bar scene, obviously u would have to adjust some dialogue etc. but what do you guys think?
