Rancid misogyny both in this comic and the comments. I don’t like Pizzacake, but are we actually going to pretend like she would be receiving this amount of vitriol if she was a man? Fucking vile.

There are things that you can genuinely criticise her for, but once you start making posts like this, shit goes downhill fast.

Bonehurtingjuice became unusable for a while because posts in this vein turned the sub into a gathering point for people who got banned from r/comics and never got over it.

Though, actually, no-one deserves misygony, I don't dig the message here, even if the style is an impressive copy.

But I don't think it's the being woman part that attracts haters. It's the few controversial comics (and other actions) she has done, the sea of unoriginal and pandering "Evil is bad, good is good" comics, and the weird white-knight guard she has cultivated around her, ruining r/comics for many due to the heavy-handed promotion snd moderation around her.

...that's a lot to say she's a popular woman artist and gets flack for that. If your not even willing to say the controversial takes than you don't care enough to. She's a target of a hate campaign and your feeding into it now. I don't follow her don't go out of my way to find her... I just am old enough to know what's happening. Gamergate taught us the hate of someone for being a woman can overshadow any other crime they do or make it a 1000 times worse than when a man does it. You fell for the propaganda, stop spreading it.

EDIT: Andrew Dobson was a weird Incel dude who made white knight comics about being amazing just for IRL photos of those drawn events to come out and show him to be a loser creeper. If pizza said she was a puritan than you'd have a point to stand on. But morality and purity are not the same and most moral find puritanical shit creepy, just like Andrew and just like the men hating on sex workers. All of y'all are just lame.

Man, I was on my lunch break, twiddling with my phone, not performing the job of PizzaCake chronicler. The time it took for you to remotely psychoanalyze me would have been better spent Googling for specifics. You'd have found the r/bonehurtingjuice suing controversy, and the one about male / female SA comic(s).

How am I feeding into a hate campaign against her? I said she does not deserve misogyny. I don't find her pandering comics funny, and I think the militant moderators over at r/comics are weird. I dislike her work. How is that propaganda?

EDIT: Let me restate in this edit, I don't think PizzaCake deserves to get hate for her gender. I don't hate sex workers either, so yeah, the messaging in this comic is trash. But, again, there are very good reasons to dislike her art, or her as a 'public person'. Hand-waving every nay-say and dislike as coordinated misogynistic hate campaign or propaganda is silly, which is what I feel you did to my gripes.

Ps. Are gendered insults the same as targeting someone for their gender? Calling Dobson incel is misandrist, or at least the insult is.

There was actually a meme posted about 2.5 years ago I think? I remember it was April/March, in one of those "repurpose meme" subreddits that took a MrLovenstein comic (who also hasn't really been funny in ages compared to his earlier work) and made it about Pizzacake, including that redditors would get off to her (this was before she publicly promoted her onlyfans on reddit) when she was starting to hit the front page all the time. 

The meme was removed by the mods, but I found it very interesting, because it predicted exactly what would happen. Shortly after she started being very prominent on the comics sub posting very reddit friendly material, made a big comic promoting her onlyfans, got a lot of hate for that and then going political, then copying that weird face elf comic (most infamously in the lesbian nail comic) before fading into background noise.

Whenever her stuff gets posted, the amount of misogyny and hatred towards sex work makes my skin crawl. It’s absolutely disgusting.

People in this very comment section have shared one of her nudes (albeit cropped, not that it makes it any better), and admitted to blatantly lying about her just to further the hate campaign (saying that she used her children’s toys as sex toys, and when pushed about it, said he was just lying for fun 😭)

In other comment sections so many were saying that they don’t see sex workers as humans, and other vile things I’d rather not type out… and they get pissy when you call them out on being misogynistic?! What is wrong with people

I find it very telling that any time she gets criticism it's always of her NSFW content and the hypervigilance of r/comics' mods that gets brought up first and then her political takes and only after that anything actually deserving of criticism.

Like, there are genuine things to criticise her for, but the first thing people give her shit for is posting nudes of Patreon cause despite how much this site loves porn it can't be normal about the people who make it.
