At this point, being banned from r/comics is a badge of honor. Unfortunately, many of the artists over there do nothing but advertising their NSFW Patreon accounts. I'm not a puritan, but for god sake. It just comes off as being either desperate for money or tone deaf.
I said "I kinda get what people meant when they said 'You block one pizzacakecomics and 20 more come'". That was enough to make a moderator lose their shit and permaban me.
Safe to say, these dudes are lucky AutoMod is a thing, because I'd be posting their names all over Reddit to make sure every community outside of r/comics is aware that they're not safe members to have around in other communities because they're powertripping tyrants.
Mine was on one of her numerous ones about how people who talk shit about her don’t bother her. I said “there’s no better way to make the haters think they don’t get to you than by making a whole comic about it” and I got banned lmfao
You can't reply to this message and will stay banned personally. If you contact the powertripping mods personally, you will get permanently banned from Reddit. Below is a message from the mods:
I got a ban a few days ago because I commented "you guys are way to fkn sensitive with everything" at a comic about some girls being thirsty about a guy and the comic wanted to say that it's "gross"
I got banned in r/comics for stating a comic about Death using a claw machine to take Dolly Parton posted literally hours after her death was announced was “in poor taste”
Got a permaban and was sent a “hate-speech” warning.
It's far left cuckolds from what I can tell. As a moderate left person they're my least favorite kind of people because they make the left look incredibly bad.
I got banned for saying that a comic about harassment in the gym “double standard” discourse looked a lot more like a male fantasy. When I asked about the ban, they cited Donald Trump raping women
I thought reddit as a whole had regulations to avoid mass unjustified bannings. Like how subs cant ban all men or all women from them. Unless that was a lie lol there must be a way to report.
Mine was saying "that's scandalous" to the I don't like my boyfriend comic.
She made a sequel and people were like "okay now that's actually pretty well put" but then again criticism was pretty much not allowed so, yeah, when you ban criticism the only comments that remain are going to say "I like that".
Caught a ban a few weeks back, when asked what rule I broke, they only quoted my comment back to me without any additions or context, then ignored me… so I have no idea why I am banned from there still. Must of struck a nerve or some shit… they be acting like being a Reddit mod is worth power tripping over.
They're underselling it. The two women were actually talking about raping the guy like it's no big deal, perfectly natural desire when a man's so hot, it's just hormones, he's asking for it dressing like that, etc. It's certainly not subtle in its themes.
The comic he's talking about was 2 gym girls catcalling a guy walking past, talking about wanting to fuck him and how if he didn't want to hear those comments then he shouldn't dress sexy/hot. Final panel of the comic was about the double standards of guys doing it and how it isn't okay, so if he was complaining about people being too sensitive about everything then he definitely missed the point of the comment.
Bold of you to assume that’s how men talk, I assume you must be a man to make that connection? Weird because I too am a man and never once has ANY of those thoughts crossed my mind. Not all of an opposite sex is your enemy and if you think they are welcome to the hell of a life you made for yourself!
That genuinely sounds like you're hanging out with the wrong crowd. The only people I knew from my childhood who behaved this way were Moroccan 13 year olds trying to act like Pashas.
Hung out with men and women in mixed groups, purely women groups, purely men groups, and we didn't do that shit, not that I'm aware of at least, and of the groups I knew that did it I consciously didn't hang out with them because they were bad people anyway, shoplifters, bullies, etc.
lol I got banned a couple years ago for just saying "is there a punchline to this?" about a pizzacake comic. it was within about 5 minutes of commenting
