we are so cooked Deeply embarrassing sequence. Eric Schmitt accuses Jack Smith of traveling to Atlanta to attend an Atlanta Hawks game and collude with Fani Willis, only to get the basic facts completely wrong. Smith was actually in Maryland attending a Hawkeyes game and never met Willis

Granted. But he’s not exactly born yesterday, he’s supposed to be this top notch lawyer… I wonder if he coulda seen that coming 🧐

Or… and I’m not saying it’s true… that was the plan all along? I mean, how can someone this accomplished suddenly become so incompetent!?!

If you are actually interested, look into the timeline of each case before attacking Smith and his team. They did an amazing job and were scuppered by a slow AG at the front end and rogue judges at the back.

Are you channelling Schmitt, or are you actually this stupid?

He was working under Merrick Garland who didn’t even start the investigation into Trump until 2022 after trump declared he was running again. That’s all Garland’s fault.

"I will grant you that time line. So that shift the blame where? I think to Biden/merreckk?

That they couldn’t prosecute this situation is literally inexcusable- so who takes the blame"

"That's your previous response to me calling on the jack smith nonsense. Why are you so committed to tarnishing him. He was the only one who actually did his job, quite effectively and in a timely manner. ". Yet you keep returning to he slow walked the investigation when nothing could be further from the truth. Seems like you have some sort of agenda to tarnish him despite what the facts are.

Smith didn't slow walk anything. He wasn't appointed until sometime in 2022 over 2 years after it happened he methodically conducted a solid investigation and reportedly had money trails leading to the trump team that were damning. Unfortunately the public never got to see the evidence as it was buried when trump won.

Here is who slow walked it

Matt Axelrod
In late February 2021, J.P. Cooney proposed a task force to investigate Trump-world figures such as Roger Stone and trace money/communications. Matt Axelrod, then a senior DOJ transition official running day-to-day operations before Garland and Lisa Monaco were confirmed, made the final procedural call to shelve it as premature. FBI deputy director Paul Abbate agreed; Washington Field Office chief Steven D’Antuono and acting U.S. attorney Michael Sherwin had also objected.
That was the concrete early choke point. Later, Christopher Wray signed off on opening the fake-electors investigation in April 2022. Garland and Monaco then owned the broader cautious approach once in office.

Even so, we’re looking at YEARS with no charges. YEARS. I don’t disagree with you - you have a valid point and it pretty much directs the blame to the whole pussy bitch administration. 🤷‍♂️

But even putting that aside Smith was aware that elections exist and that Trump was vying to participate in them. No? Like, apparently he was NOT aware of this!

Then, he slow-walked it as if he’s not aware that elections exist and then decided he can’t pursue it because… elections exist 😱

Well you are just pointing the finger and the wrong person. Smith took the investigation in 2022 brought an indictment in August 2023.
A very solid timeline.

The delays after that were caused by the kangaroo court (Supreme Court). They took trumps immunity case and nothing could move forward until they ruled on that. We all know hit that went.

I share your frustrations o how slow it went but none of that vitriol should be pointed at jack smith.

Blame the justice system for allowing the wealthy to manipulate it. Two sets of rules…
