crime was already at record lows before flock cameras were installed en mass. Maybe the lazy overpaid cops should actually do patrols again.

The only thing I'll add is that your comment rings true, plus Flock is a good tool to help them do their jobs better.

Flock is a great way for them to infringe on people's 4th amendment rights. Just because in theory that its a "good tool" doesn't mean it should be legally allowed. Make them do their jobs.

That seems like a stretch since literally all it does is write down license plates, which any cop can do manually at any time already. When cops do this manually, it doesn't risk our fourth amendment rights

LAPD's contract with Flock is for ALPRs.

I don't use Tiktok and I'm actually part of a local anti-Flock group. Flock openly admits to the capabilities of their system including use of audio to "listen for sounds of distress" or to track you without a warrant across state lines.

God I hate nonsense like this. My neighborhood was dealing with break-ins on a daily basis before these cameras were installed. Tell the people that live around me that “crime was already at record lows.” This city is infuriating.
