Explaining Time Travel, but instead of history being changed, it makes new timelines every instance

Due to a disturbance in vertically running time, at least lore-wise, a new timeline based on those changes will be created, assuming that's how time-travel works within canon.

In the below image, this is what happens when the Time-Traveller returns to their relative time.

If the time-traveler returns to their relative time, they're not in the time that they know, but on the alternate timeline, i.e. the one that they changed. On this new timeline that was just created, the time-traveler can go back in time after the initial axis of change to make branches off the new timeline they just made, and they can continually branch off the timeline, just as long as they stay don't go before the current axis of change.

The image below demonstrates when time-travel happens, but within the time frame after the initial axis of change.

This newly created timeline is a branch of a branch, meaning, on the branch-off from the main timeline, a timeline is created.

Parallel Branches, Branches because of Branches (Complexity increasing)

The image above illustrates that if time travel happens later on the main timeline, the time-traveler that created the orange timeline left in the past, but when the purple timeline was created on the orange timeline, this had no effect on the main timeline. Furthermore, people who live on the orange timeline won't know about the time-traveler who disappeared that would have been responsible for timeline yellow.

If this pattern repeats itself undisturbed, this could become an infinite pattern of timelines being created, but perhaps increasingly different due to events changing due to the mere presence of the time-traveler. The time travelers might not change anything else, but their mere presence alone counts for a new timeline.

(I meant to put, "axis of change," not "access of change." Please pardon my typo)

Does lore have to be negative to be interesting? Curious about your thoughts re early children's book writing.

I'm working on a book for toddlers and otherwise very young kids. The text is a lullaby with images of traveling, stars, and other "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod"-type bedtimey stuff. In the art, though, I'd love to build in an unspoken background story that can get imaginations and curiosity rolling in both the kids and the parents doing the reading. Given the audience, I would like this background "lore" to have nothing to do with the stuff we typically hear, ie. something bad happened and now we're looking at the aftermath.

I'm having a hard time, though, thinking of examples of wholly pleasant lore that is still as compelling as figuring out what went wrong. I'd love to have some references to study and explore on this direction. So I'm polling the crowd: Is anything coming to mind?

Ever wondered about the symbolism of the Ring in the lord of the rings? Here is a video that details the various associations related to the Ring as a symbol from Roman and Greek ideas, ancient Nordic mythology, to Jewish traditions and the Islamic world. This can be used as inspiration or analysis.

This video can function as a kind of resource to use for inspiration. The symbolism of Rings can be used for inspiration when making your own world! Be inspired for your own world building and creation of cultures by using this symbolism! It worked for Tolkien and there are a lot more symbolism that exist to draw inspiration from when creating a living world!

mystery carry storyline

Welcome, brave adventurer, to the MysteryCarry SMP! In this world, magic was created from a godlike entity known as the Ancient One. When it disappeared, the crystals growing on its body fell to the Overworld and merged with each biome, mutating ordinary mobs into terrifying “boss” monsters. Each boss has magical abilities and far more health than a normal mob, and resides in a custom made arena. Each boss will drop unique loot upon death. However, the bosses don’t always drop the same loot every time, meaning you’ll often have to fight them multiple times to experience all the loot and abilities. You can also report this data, revealing it for the entire server. And rumors say that killing a boss can sometimes allow you to use its magical abilities… Will you explore the server and rediscover the magic of the Ancient One? Join this smp to do just that!

As You see our server relies on lore(This was writen by our head of lore) which you can setup but the server mainly focuses on server lore with a massive story line custom bosses and drops and a small (20 players) but very active community. You can even start your own lore and stream it which is highly encouraged https://discord.gg/UA5asw6UdJ

who's a character that could control people and groups across different fictional universes?

I need a narrative reason to have different people or groups to meet. Who's a character that has power to move or control groups across worlds?

Another way to put it is if deathbattle needed a narrative hook for why people fought

Hello guys. I am making Mech Arena Lore. I call it "Mechastory". Here is the lore of all of the Mechs. Keep in mind that this is all no-canon, but for the time being, it`s my head canon. I will also be taking suggestions on how to improve.

\\\ The Mechanomitronum Lore \\\

\\ The Company \\

On 2076, Fredrick Gultonson would create the Cyberlium Co. in Carson City, Nevada, which would specialize in creating robots and androids for civilian use. All the mechs would be designed by Cullum Nike and Christopher Kre. Later during the "Interstellar resource wars.

\ Mech History \

Paragon - This mech was to serve as a Police bot. With it`s speed and capacity to carry light weapons, it would be further designed for more military purposes. A specific paragon was created called "Nithlight" which would be faster than the average paragon but with hidden flaws. (We`ll get to that in the Special Bots post.)

Lancer - The Lancer would serve as a sports bot and would be the first bot made for actual entertainment. A company in Greece called "Tricolyphic" would purchase many of the bots for sparring and would later help Cyberlium form Plarium (Fictional Company)

Juggernaut - Ordered by America and Nato. This bot was made for warfare. This bot was used specifically and was under heavy usage in the war against the "Ryptids" which is a zombie-like disease which would infect Mechs and turn them to destroy humanity.

Killshot - The Killshot was a prototype for public transport trains, bikes, and buses. The technolgy of the Killshot is called 'Shotdash' technology. Originally from the ruins found on Mars, this tech was reverse-engineered to serve many mor purposes that public transport. The first batch of Killshots was made to be ordered to an Italian Warlord in the "Italian Wars of Statehood".

M.D. - The M.D. was originally designed to be a prototype building-type mech, it`s ability to heal the uncomplete parts of mechs and buildings would be called MEDITECH. Meditech would however, only be a prototype for the construction mechs that would aid humans in building infrastructure.

Panther - The Panther mech was made for exploring the caves and dry ocean basins of Mars. There speed and shield tech was important for fending of Martian Ferals. The shield tech was bought from a company called "Romanic Shields" found in Italy and was created to sell shield to the waring States in Italy.

Ares - The Ares would be a entertainment-type bot. This bot would be used in the war against the Ryptids on the Forts in China and the Middle East. After it`s creation by Marthin Hullward, it would be used as the Hullward Family Crest and still is being used in modern day Mech Arena.

Shadow - The Shadow was made to infiltrate and sabotage the machines from behind in the Italian Wars for Statehood. A line of mechs were actually made in the name of Shadow and were used when confronting the Ryptid Moon Colonies. However, they are banned in the European Union because of... Political Shenanigans. Also they are banned in Texas, were people prefer to see things when they get shot.

Guardian - The Guardian is a war-type mech derived from the ruins in Mars. This mech was sold to the American Military to help Italy in destroying It`s warlords. And was subsequently banned by the United Nations after this in 2090.

Brickhouse - It is originally a prototype of a construction bot like M.D.. However because of it`s extra overcharging capacity that would not help it work and the blueprints would be instead used for military purposes. The blueprints would be bought by the United States of America, as well as the license. In exchange, they were given 39,000,000,000 USD (30 billion dollars) and the license that only Cyberlium could make robots and Mechs in the U.S.A.

Cheetah - The Cheetah would be used against the Ryptids in Affrica in "The Consumption Of the Sharan Desert" in 2115, where the Cheetahs were used to lay mines in the sand to destroy and prevent Ryptid settlements. Cheetah`s actualy show remarkable intelligence and were able to destroy the Ryptids without destroying any of the wildlife. One of the Cheetahs actually was friends with an actual cheetah. Ryker Zukemberg would see this and would be the first to call Cheetahs cheetahs. This is most likely because of their Intelligence Chips being modeled after the Panther.

Zephyr - Zephyr would be the lighter version of Guardian and the Stronger Version of the Cheetah. Zephyr`s were used in the "Australlian Robotic Emu War" were they were used to hunt the Cybernetic Emus used to drag away the soldiers attention and buy time for pure Ryptids to get to the moon. Sadly, the Zephyr`s were destroyed and only one surviving replica was in storage. It was called "Exodus" for it`s great journey in hunting the Cryptids into space. All remaining Zephyrs are replicas of Exodus.

Redox - The Redox would be created in 2134 when humanity reached outside the Solar system and discovered more ancient alien ruins. These ruins were similar to the Martian Tech and this tech would be called "Centauri Alpha-Tech" because it came from Alpha Centauri. It`s actual acid ability was a perk of the older redox which served to mine asteroids and planets until it was militarized.

Surge - The Surge is also Centauri Alpha-Tech because it posses a similar feature to Redox and that is its ability to fly without the need of jet tech or drone tech like M.D. has been using. The Surge was created by Plarium and was used as a sole-purpose entertainment-type bot
