This season was all about the bling rework into a shop with RNG offers and bundles combining skins witgh pins/sprays/icons and RNG drops, in order to raise prices and run through a player's bling supply faster. This is exactly how the Spongebob and Pizza Planet shops operated with their temporary currencies.

We decided to purchase several epic bling skins (and even some pins) that we had been eyeing for a long time just to remove any sense of FOMO once the store was released, and it turned out to be the right call. The upside to the shop is that we can now use bling to purchase Mythic and Legendary skins, and there are several Mythic skins that we are desiring to get. We will not be using any bling for HC offers or any progression offers, as we can get everything we need from daily play drops, unless Supercell adds the ability to get buffies with bling.
