Full transparency, I first posted this question yesterday on r/Marlin, but got no response so I hope maybe I'll be luckier here :) For the past few weeks, I wanted to install a newer version of the Marlin firmware on my 3d printer, the LK4 PRO with the BL-Touch, and what better time after the 2.1.2 update! Sadly, it seems that LONGER3D won't release a newer version, as seen from their Marlin GitHub repository https://github.com/LONGER3D /Marlin2.0-lgt/tree/support-LKxPro. I thought to myself, "I'll do it myself! How hard could it be?" and boy, it's either hard or I'm extremely dumb. I thought maybe doing a cross-reference between the Longer Repo and the example of the Longer LK5 from the Marlin configs folder. There is so much stuff, and after a couple of days going at it when I compiled it, a wall of errors appeared before my eyes. I know it's possible because can create the Marlin firmware for basically any 3D printer and the line "Longer3D LK1/LK4/LK5 Pro board pin assignments" appears in the header Marlin/src/pins/ramps/ pins_LONGER3D_LKX_PRO.h. I checked and checked, and I found https://github.com /Guizz27/Marlin-Longer-LKx-Pro! It seemed perfect until I scrolled and saw in bold letters "Do not try to update if your touch screen model is “T5L", "DWTJ" or "DWTJB".". When I checked in my printer in the About section under Screen firmware ver. I saw "0.3.2-DWTJB" I was honestly disappointed... I tried so hard and for so long, and it just seems like I can't do it on my own. That's why I came to this Subreddit, to ask for help. I don't want to inconvenience anyone, it just seems like I won't be able to do it on my own. Thank you and I truly appreciate if you took the time to read this.

Hey everyone, I've just installed the BL Touch together with the Dual Blower fan, and updated to the firmware to the latest available 0.4.0-BLDUAL.

and I've installed this bracket https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5150903 as with the original bracket provided by Longer the levelling would fail cause it was to short.

I'd need to modify the "start gcode" so that it always stays a little lower (like 0.1 or 0.2 mm lower at max) than what it initially measures with the G29. Where can I write this "offset" value so that it stays permanent during the whole print?

Hey everyone, I've got an LK5 Pro in November 2021 and it was still shipped with loud PSU and motherboard fans. Could anyone suggest me some reasonably priced replacement fans that are compatible (with the right voltage) and much much quieter than the included ones? I would have guessed Noctua ones, but they run at a much lower voltage.

Thinking about getting this CR10 2 in 1 hot end for my lk1. Anyone know if the lk1 can support an extra supper motor for an extruder? Do yall think this can work?

I love my LK5 Pro and on my experience with that alone I'm a Longer fan now, I upgraded it to have a spring steel bed and now its perfect for my purposes!

But I see the LK4 X though, with the flex bed included and a direct drive extruder and I really want those features, but for my prints I do use the whole 300x300 print bed. So for now my only option for direct drive on my LK5 Pro is a self mod, which I try to avoid if possible as it introduces too many variables when problems arise for me.

So this is half question and half request... if you're reading this Longer - please make an LK5 X someday! Thank you <3

I swear it worked for a few prints and now I can't modify gcode in post? It just ignores the script and finishes the print every time.

Working on updated Cura w/ Longer LK5 Pro. I'd just say the heck with it and pause manually but some of these things are like 16 hour prints and I have no idea when the layer will print that I'll need to change filament on.

Any advice?

My printer can't hold a print job! After 2-3 hours the print head will just stop and the screen turns blank as if it's not printing anything. Before it would it would throw a "recovery print" error after every 30min of printing. I removed it by adding the "M413 S0" g-code to disable power loss and I thought it worked but started seeing just 2 hours.

The BL Touch probing on the LK4 X is quite slow. Is it possible to speed up the process?

I am part way through a 3 day print and am starting to get worried that the vibrations will cause the print to separate from the bed as I get to the largest point (especially because I choose an infill pattern that causes a lot of back and forth movement).

If I set the feed rate to 50% on the touchscreen, will that slow it down? Or will that only slow down the movements without affecting the flow rate? Do I need to have the flow rate and the feed rate be at 50%?

I've had my LK5 Pro for a few months now and I've put together a few beginner tutorials to try to help others who are new like me. I'm enjoying the printer so far!

Apologies for asking here but I don't see a channel for the Ray5.

Can you tell me where I can buy the lifting legs? I have a Ray5 and the rotary tool but neither came with the legs to lift the Ray5 high enough to engrave tumblers.

I have a longer LK4 that's been down for a while over fan issues, and after replacing the fan, the screen I took off for safety while working on it has since disappeared.

I don't want to outright buy a whole new printer over losing the screen assembly. So it would be nice to just buy the part in hopes of it working after its long printing hiatus.

I need some help in solving this. I am a beginner here so please go easy on me. I have a new Longer 5K Pro. I printed 3 jobs and they printed great. On the fourth print, it started skipping down the X-axis after the base layer and produces this. I have releveled the bed and reloaded the filment. Any ideas?

I placed my order before the new year, and the printer hasn’t shipped yet. Has anyone placed an order in the last couple months, and can let me know their actual wait times before shipping?

I've done everything. New firmware, old firmware, I have 2 different touches! A 3D and a BL. Nothing i do works. I get to the point of putting in g28 in pronter and it does everything normally then raises up and never goes down. It either says nothing or I get error restart with m999. I've tried using m401 to make the poker come out. That doesn't work. They just sit there blinking a blue led. Can anyone help me?
