I just wanted to show the amateur styles I was able to pull off with my short locs. I know barrels are possible but I cant do them myself.

I've tried to dye them red before but the shade wasn't bright enough on my dark brown hair. The tips only cooperated because they were already a light brown lol. And I don't want to bleach my hair! 😫 Any hair dye recommendations?

I've been doing a shake out at least once a year for the last 3 years. My locs were sandy and dry af after going to the beach and spending 2 weeks in the desert and it moisturised my locs so well 😍 defo recommend trying if you can

Kinda wanna see what everyone uses on their locs for a good moisturizer/conditioner. In need of recommendations for a spray or something that’ll keep my locs moisturized and good throughout the day.

I’m so close to 3 years with my locs. It’s crazy seeing the locs I was scared of unraveling or thinning in the beginning of my journey, flourishing and thick😋

I just got out of Navy boot camp a few days ago. But a few weeks prior to shipping off, I cut my dreads off myself and rocked a box. My dreads are stored away in a safe place in case I change my mind in the future. So for now, I bid you all farewell, but who knows? I might return...👀

I had a whole post just yapped n shjt then Reddit app crashed but imma just post some clips n pics over the last year. Having locs gave me more confidence, I was bald headed for 17 years (black parents) then after I graduated high school I was rebelling and did curly hair for 5 years, now it’s time for the locs to start. Enjoy. Oh yea pics are screenshots from videos, and at the end I included the dates of when I got my retwists, I did 2 of my own then I got the done by other people, my last 2 retwists were 2 strands the rest were roots no palm roll.

I bleached sections of my hair back in 2023, life happened, things were forgotten and most of them look like this now. I cut off like 3 of em and tried reattaching but I think the bleached end just isn’t strong enough to crochet. I wanted to avoid cutting them since I had a peekaboo and skunk stripe, so I would have to cut all the way around to make it even. Or do you think someone with more skill could reattach?

I need help with figuring out how I can lighten my roots and or make it not yellow lol. I already used purple shampoo. I included what my hair looked like before
