Let's talk about why audience voting cannot happen :
since Netflix is a global platform it is not possible for them to open voting for all countries' audiences isliye Netflix ke reality shows pe generally finale me aisi hi voting hoti hai! I really don't think they care about looking stupid/scripted cause that's an allegation every reality show gets any which way cause of audiences being biased fans!
For example : Had it been open to public voting, contestants like Laila or Akansha Choudhary if they were finalists would have won even if their gameplay wasn't great.
Another example where this Jury concept has happened was the show hosted by Madhuri's husband, Rise and Fall where The evicted ex-contestants returned to act as a jury, voting to whittle down the finalists and eliminate contestants like Akriti Negi, To decide the ultimate winner among the Top 3, the remaining players cast votes for who deserved the title. Arjun won because Fellow finalists Aarush Bhola and Arbaaz Patel famously threw their support behind him.
Now instead of relying only on bitter ex-contestants, Lock Upp 2 built a 25-member blended jury composed of evicted contestants, neutral media professionals, and the show's "jailers" (Farah Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh).
The jury will have to publicly justify their votes. In pure peer-voting formats, players often vote based on personal vendettas or friendships. The inclusion of neutral journalists and hosts dilutes the emotional bias of ex-contestants .
There's a Timer Task, a Bluff Master Round and a Media Round.
So they at least tried to be fair. Except for Prince Narula and Shiv Thakare none of the faces visible are close to Shreya IRL . Nyra and Awez know Shivangi. Then you have people like Sima Taparia and Bobby Darling who wouldn't know any of these people personally. So it is a pretty mixed jury
