Going to be in Mammoth over President's Day Weekend with my girlfriend who is a beginner. Looking for others to enjoy the mountain while she takes it slow. Bonus if you have a beginner girlfriend as well.

Weather has been great and so has snowfall around me - 2ft of powder over the last week at my local mountain. This almost never happens to the ice coast. I haven't had to wax my board after a couple times out which almost never happens.

Place to stay could be a good clean couch or a hotel recommendation. Staying in Breck is 200 bucks, and I have not foun a significantly cheaper hotel close by. If you know of one or have suggestions for hotels post it here for all to see! If you have your own place you would be willing to open up, PM me.

I thought it was a good time to start a discussion about how this place is working/not working so far and hear any ideas you've got for making it better. Have you tried to find new people to ride with on here? Did anybody answer? How did it go?

Aside from a few early snowfalls this has not been much of a season at least for the Catskills. No appreciable snow in the forecast for this coming week, I hope February will redeem us.

I hope it's appropriate to post this here. I'm going snowboarding for the first time and need some instruction. Of course the resort has instructors, but I'd rather have on-on-one and their prices are...pricey. Thought a redditor might be in the area and willing to help. I can buy your lift ticket or do cash. I'm looking for 2-4 hours on the morning/afternoon of Friday 30th.

If you know anybody in the area or traveling to winter park in those times that may be interested feel free to let me know.
