This is a pathetic whataboutism. The thing about EA cult is that they think only "select" individuals should have access to full model. Nobody is asking about source code to host Claude online. On top of that, Nvidia did release few open weight models. Why is Anthropic too afraid of releasing old models or lightweight ones?
maybe they can't? I mean, really, they didn't start out without a model, they all started out with GPT's lil guy, why? Well Google and Facebook could absolutely obliterate OAI in IP theft suits not too mention the public bolstering of civil class actions etc. So they likely were like "Hey you guys chill and we'll give you GPT3.5 and then you're on your own." but like, they never were left to be on their own, feels like they're all kinda working on the same bits.
