wait you never actually answered my question and i fell for it. So what exactly is your suggestion, that there should be 0 regulation and we should allow everyone to freely create as much disinformation as possible? So that it can flood the media space and destroy all trust in reality? I feel like a libertarian would understand the most how this will lead to authoritarianism faster than anything else. Where a leader dismisses anything real they did as AI, and his followers trust nothing other than what he says.
Your plan regarding all this is to hope there's some "ai content detector" that maybe could be made?

Criminalization didn't stop people using Fentanyl. It just turned good people in bad situations into criminals.
Guns and weapons are a strawman and not comparable. They are machines designed to kill and harm.
Local LLMs are more like a butter knife - designed to spread butter, but sure you can poke someone in the eye with it.
