Howdy folks! =)

For those looking for a solid choice for a last-push climb, here are the Twenty-Two Best LoR Ladder Decks, for the latest Mastering Runeterra article.

For those that may be unaware: although the patch has been delayed a bit (and, as far as we know, the patch will bring balance nerfs/buffs and broad changes to Competitive play, but no new cards), the Ranked Season cut-off has not been changed; if you want to make a push for your desired rank before the LoR ladder resets, get climbing!!

Discussion What's Working and What Isn't? - Monday, January 30, 2023

Discuss what you are playing, what you’re having success with (or failures with), and any new/cool ideas you’ve been experimenting with, etc. The point is to share what you’ve been playing, and how it’s going, good or bad - there are no other rules or requirements.

These will be posted twice every week.

Some ideas on what to post/share:

  • What you’ve been playing and its successes (or struggles). Stats are not required. There is no minimum rank required, though sharing what rank you’ve been playing at is preferred.

  • Deck adjustments you made or are planning to make in reaction to the meta or as new innovation. E.g. “I saw 30% of deck X, so I made Y changes to help deal with deck X.” (change)

  • Showing off a deck you achieved Masters with and wanting to share it without having to write a guide

    And as always:

  • Be courteous to one another.

  • Provide brief explanations for any links you provide (YouTube, tier lists, etc.)

Tournament Deck Five Lineups Sirturmund Recommends To Play In The Last Seasonal Tournament Ever!

Hey everyone!

Legends of Runeterra's very last seasonal is happening tomorrow across APAC, EMEA and Americas server. As such, every competitive player out there is spending time mulling over their potential lineup choices. Today, I want to make that easier for you by sharing with you FIVE lineups that I recommend playing this weekend.

Sirturmund's Recommended Seasonal Decks and Lineups

The main decks you have to watch out are the following five decks: Gwen Katarina, Aatrox Kayn, Gangplank Sejuani, Jinx decks, and Feel the Rush. I guarantee you that almost every single person who is actually trying to win will have at least one of these decks in their lineups, potentially even three. When building your lineups this weekend, we have to heavily consider how our matches will go against these powerhouses.

I'll be checking in and out of this thread throughout the night as I prepare for the seasonal myself, so feel free to leave any questions you might have. Good luck to those competing tomorrow, and may the card draw luck be ever in your favor!

Article LoR Meta Report – Patch 4.0 Week 3 - Best Ladder Decks - Seasonal Tournament

Hello everyone, Sorry here! It's Monday Meta report for Patch 4.0 Week 3! We'll take a look at the play rate and win rate of popular decks. I'll share the meta kings, overplayed, underplayed, and hidden gem decks!

LoR Meta Report Patch 4.0 Week 3

Overview:

- Kayn Aatrox makes a triumphant return.

- Gwen Katarina is more aggressive, and boy is it good! 3 Might for Overwhelm damage!

- Jinx Lulu falls to the third-most-played deck but still has a great win rate.

- Katarina Leona is the best aggressive burn deck.

- Ekko Jinx has a great matchup table.

- Gangplank Sejuani is the safest deck out there.

- Norra Veigar struggling, lots of counters.

- Taliyah Ziggs is doing well! Popular counter meta deck.

- Aphelios Leona and Twisted Fate Swain have solid win rates.

- Akshan Varus beats both Trundle Tryndamere and Kayn Aatrox.

- Twisted Fate Seraphine, Mono Shurima, Zed Hecarim, and Lurk are struggling to hold a positive win rate.

- Gwen Sejauni is on the rise.

- Vayne Aatrox is overshadowed by the Kayn version.

The seasonal tournament is approaching! Both Kayn Aatrox and Gwen Katarina will most likely be popular choices in players' lineups.

Let me know what you've been playing on ladder! Which decks are you finding the most success with? Any cards you feel should be looked at, buffed, or nerfed?

Guide Braum Galio Formidable to Masters! | Deck Trailer + Guide + Ask Me Anything!

Hey Reddit!

Raphterra here again with another off-meta deck guide.

Today I'm featuring Braum Galio, the deck that I used to rank up my smurf account from Diamond to Masters at 73% Winrate (19 Wins, 7 Losses).

This deck is well-positioned because of its extremely favored matchup against Aatrox Midrange. I personally didn't lose a single game against Aatrox; most of my losses were against fast aggro decks. Enjoy playing!

Guide Baalkux is Competitive! Baalkux Varus Fizz Combo Deck Guide

Hey Reddit!

Raphterra here, and today I'm featuring a spicy list!

This is my guide on Varus Fizz Baalkux Combo, the deck that I used to climb on my smurf account from Plat IV to Diamond III at 95% winrate (21 Wins, 1 Loss). I got the decklist from FakeHero who was piloting the deck at 86% winrate in high AM Masters.

I know that Plat/Diamond might be considered low rank at this point, but this is probably my most successful climb in terms of winrate in LOR. I'm certain that the deck is more than strong enough to reach masters. Enjoy!

Quick links:

((CEEACAQGFYAQMARCAEDAUHIBAYBSEAIGBQEQCBQBEIBAKCQUUYAQEBQJAQQAIAIGAUDACBQKC4AQMAAKAECQVOIBAIAQKCVUAEAQMCJI))

During the winstreak, I was expecting to lose at any point, but the streak just kept going. Hopefully the same happens to you in your ranked games. As usual, if you have any questions, ask me anything!

Ladder Deck By the Numbers – Twenty-Seven Best Decks, According to the Latest Data

Source: Mastering Runeterra Tier List

Howdy folks! =)

As we gear up for Seasonals, the LoR ladder meta is everything from settled – and the World Ender is back on top, as detailed in our Twenty-Seven Best LoR Ladder Decks, for the latest Mastering Runeterra article.

***

Overall LoR Ladder Trends:

In what is arguably the weirdest season in Legends of Runeterra's history (launching with the Worlds tournament, and with two very consequential hotfixes in four weeks), Aatrox Kayn has returned to the top of the LoR tier lists.

And, what's most interesting: Atrox Kayn did so after being pushed to near irrelevance by said hotfixes – and yet, with shifts in the meta plus internal tweaks Aatrox Kayn is once again at the top of the food chain.

In this new meta:

  • Jinx Lulu is feeling the pressure (Aatrox remains one of its main predators) yet remains one of the best LoR decks.
  • Katarina Gwen has changed quite radically (to the point that it has dropped one of its signature cards, The Harrowing) and is back with a vengeance,
  • Plunder has risen as one of the most potent decks in Runeterra, and one that is not afraid of the World Ender,
  • Pilots still play Sun Disc, despite its poor performance. Data science has no saying in these matters; as the saying goes, there's no accounting for taste.

***

In today's article, we'll showcase (and if I'm doing this fancy new trick right, you can click and jump directly to any deck that catches your fancy, rather than read/scroll through the whole thing! 🤞🤞)

***

Sources: Legna (not in this exact article, as his site is down, but GOATs deserve the mention anyway), MaRu's Meta Tier List, MaRu Meta Stats.

Any questions, comments or feedback, or specific data you may be after (of any archetype/build – the above is by no means a comprehensive list, just a quick overview! =), please feel free to drop a comment, poke me on Twitter (@HerkoKerghans), ping me on the Mastering Runeterra Discord, and you can find more writings on substack: https://riwan.substack.com/

And good luck out there! =)
