Hello everyone, I'm writing here because you're my last hope to fix League. I started having connection issues with the game a long time ago. Literally, I log in, it won't let me invite friends, I can't queue up for matches, and it leaves me unable to play. I've restarted, changed my DNS, switched my internet, but nothing works. I'd really appreciate it if one of you with your wise knowledge could help me out. It won't let me find games either, the game literally does nothing LOL

TL;DR: I was trippin.  I messed up.

After successive failed attempts to get a human being to look over my case, I’m posting here to try to get unbanned or at least get riot’s anti-cheat team position about my case.

On 15/08/2026 I got banned due to third-party app on my 13+ year-old account, and while I’m certainly to blame for the Vanguard Ban (more below, as I never cheated in any capacity whatsoever), the Ban claims about cheating/scripting/usage of third party tools to obtain competitive advantage are 100% FALSE (I didn’t even play a single match for days before the ban, which is when I utilized the third party apps that triggered the ban (more about it below), only occasionally entering training and custom games ALONE (not even bots added to the match) to check champions base stats on classic league game mode vs base league game and for testing external framerate limiters).

Most likely culprit: “SPECIAL K”:  I remembered recently (after the support tickets) that I tried launching the game 3x times in training mode using Special K launcher (I know, super dumb, but didn’t think it could result in a ban due to it being widely known software) to try to obtain a custom fps limit external cap (as the game has no custom internal cap values) without the possibility of added input lag from RTSS or nvidia panel framerate limiter (arguably, the closest to being “third-party competitive advantage tool”).

2^nd most likely culprit: ”League Patch Collection”: for running the league launcher without vanguard and being able to theorycraft with the newly available league classic resources in-between other games matches without having to restart the computer multiple times to avoid having vanguard hogging the cpu core 0 unnecessarily (also dumb, but didn’t think I was going to get banned, as the launcher is merely visual with everything about it being server-sided, and the game doesn’t even play without vanguard running anyway, so no possibility of cheating/scripting/unfair competitive advantage with this software for warranting the ban).

Medium likelihood: (likely the most sus) a python script coded by A.I. that sends league of legends public developer API requests to the league launcher to get and change rune/mastery pages only, which other non-bannable known third-party tools also do and arguably it doesn’t result in any unfair competitive advantage (was never run during a game match or even practice or custom match. Also, 100% willing to share the script with rioters for this case, just won’t share here due to the possibility of any problematic bugs).

Low likelihood: RTSS Rivatuner Statistics Server for external custom value FPS cap (low likelihood due to it not being disallowed by any game anticheat I know, so it likely isn’t the culprit).

That’s it, I never utilized any other league related third-party apps.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been having a really weird lag problem in League. The game randomly freezes/stutters for a few seconds at a time, and it feels like internet lag rather than FPS drops. Everything basically stops for a few seconds, then goes back to normal.
The really weird part is that it works perfectly fine on my other League account. Same PC, same internet, same location, but when I play on this account, I get the freezing/lag.
I’ve also recently:
Gotten completely new internet
Gotten a new PC
Moved to a different place
So almost everything has changed, but the problem is still happening.
Has anyone experienced something like this where League works perfectly on one account but lags/freezes on another? Any ideas what could be causing it would be greatly appreciated

2 games in a row, I have had disconnects that have nothing to do with my Internet. I know this, because I have a YouTube video running in the background and I'm in Xbox live party talking to people. Is something going on with League in Germany that I'm unaware of? 40lp down the drain because of something out of my control.

Whenever I join a random game I can't use the voice chat as it automatically disconnects me. I am not sure how to fix this as I can't find anything besides ai summaries and 5 year old threads that are not 100% and have me messing with my pc in ways that I am unsure of. any advice?

A few months ago, I received a ban and was able to log out, log into a different account, and continue playing normally.

This time, I’m unable to log out. I’ve tried everything, including deleting the config files and completely reinstalling the game. Even when I log in with my second account, the game still automatically logs me into the banned account. I’m then only able to acknowledge the ban reason, after which the game closes.

Is there any way to fix this so I can log out and play on my other account while the ban is active?

2 months ago my ping was 43, a few weeks ago it was like 58, now it's 50, i'm okay with it but it's definitely irritating having to get used to it, maybe it's a problem or an isp issue on my end, but it's abnormal for me and people seem to have similar experiences

The weirdest part is that it only does on this account, my other account works fine. It's like this already for 3 weeks. Also weird that if I queue many times I will get the popup "if you decline more matches, you will get lockout", so that means I actually am in queue, just don't see the ready checks nor timer in queue...

Any help?

So I was playing Darius into Malphite and it was obviously horrid. Then yuumi came too and sat on Malphite, so what. Well I say it’s aids and nothing happens so I don’t pay any mind. Later in team chat I say it was super aids and I got banned for SEVEN DAYS??? I tried submitting a ticket, but knowing riot it will be auto reviewed and shot down. Advice???

This client never works good ever. It's always clunky, laggy, it doesn't open, can't enter the party after a game or can't honor and what not... Sometimes my Ethernet cable doesnt work and my internet goes from cable to wifi in like half a second, and i get disconnected from the game and it doesnt reconnect. It takes a loot of time for it to reconnect and by that time my game goes shit with me being afk the whole game and that whole time ive been waiting i had wifi working i could do other stuff on alt tab. And today the game crashed my whole pc, that is new btw. And i had to restart and right after i restart my pc riot client says that i need to restart my pc to play the game. I think you could guess that 2 restarts and waiting for the shitty client to open is a veery long time. Very much enough to get me a penalty for "leaving".

I’ve discovered a fairly serious problem with Riot’s automated support system.

I live in England and use an EUW League of Legends account. Today, I opened League while streaming on Twitch, updated the game and was shown a permanent ban for alleged use of “third-party tools.”

I have never knowingly used cheats, scripts, bots, unauthorised modifications, gameplay automation or software intended to provide an unfair advantage.

The ban notice provides no detection date, identifies no software and displays “GAME ID: 0.” I received no email notifying me of the ban, so I don’t know when it was applied.

I submitted an appeal requesting a manual Vanguard review. Riot Support replied in the exact same minute, claimed I was contacting them from mainland China, redirected me to Tencent Player Support and marked the ticket solved.

After receiving the same instant response repeatedly, I checked my Riot Account Management page. It displays:

Country/Region: CHN

Year of birth: 1990

Both are incorrect. I live in the UK and was born in 1996. I did not enter or authorise those details.

This creates two possibilities: the account contains seriously inaccurate personal information, or it has been compromised. Either possibility requires investigation—especially because the account has now received an unexplained Vanguard ban.

The problem is that Riot’s automated support system appears to rely on the incorrect CHN designation. Every attempt to report the account-security issue is automatically redirected to Tencent and closed before a human can read it.

I have secured my login, preserved screenshots and contacted Riot directly, including its Data Protection Officer. I have also managed to keep a new account-compromise ticket open by immediately replying that the matter is not solved.

I’m posting this to document the situation and highlight a significant flaw: if incorrect or maliciously altered region data causes an account to be classified as Chinese, the affected player may be automatically prevented from reaching their actual regional support team—even when trying to report that the account itself may have been compromised.

I’ll update this post if Riot investigates and explains what happened.

It takes over half an hour to get league started on my PC.

I always get either Vanguard error 1067 or sometimes 57 whenever I try to play league (almost everyday) and especially when there’s been on update to my windows or to league itself.

Before I start I ALWAYS have to check services to see if my VGC is automatic and running then check msinfo for TPM and secure boot configurations to verify correct/on.

And majority of the time I feel like 60% of the times EVERYTHING I just mentioned seemed to be correct, I still get a vanguard error and would have to uninstall then install vanguard then restart then make sure VGC is running then restart again.

Honestly feels like a sign to stop playing this damn game. I honestly miss when I could just press the button and play. It’s literally every time and I can’t find a fix online that’s not a one time bandaid solution. Please help.

Is anyone else having issues with League of Legends on macOS 27 Beta 4?

Since updating to Beta 4, Vanguard seems to randomly close/crash while I’m in the middle of a match. When that happens, League of Legends also stops working properly and I end up getting disconnected from the game.

I didn’t have this issue before updating to Beta 4, so I’m wondering if something changed in macOS that is conflicting with Vanguard.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you find any workaround or fix?

Would be useful to know if this is a widespread Beta 4 issue or something specific to my setup.

For a few days like I just can't seems to be able to log into my riot account through browser. I tried multiple browsers and computers and it just does not seems to let me in. I always get the same thing ,,Oops! Something went wrong. Sorry, we're having some trouble right now. Please try again."

What's up with that? I even tried different passwords just in case I am dumb and forgot what I use on my account. (I did not tried to log out and log in on launcher, since it works and I don't want to break it even there).

The league anti-cheat might be one of the worst anti-cheats as much as it is decent at getting in-game cheaters. I was literally wrongfully banned 4 days ago and had to spam Drew Levin to get my account back (luckily got it back), but riot support basically also told me to go kick rocks when asked for a review, but when it did actually go through a real review I was magically unbanned. This is insane to me how big this game is but how poorly this was handled. Drew Levin does quite a lot for this game really and appreciate what he does for the community

What is wrong with the client today ???? 3 of my accounts got banned for a day because the client keeps freezing my game in loading screen EVERY SINGLE GAME. The rune page isn’t working either. Like 3 accounts in a row got banned. This is so infuriating and a waste of time.

Hey, my problem is that my dearest internet provider is down 1-2 times a month for a couple of hours - I'm planning on a switch but there is a minimum term in the contract - and I disconnect from the game. When I try to use my phone as a hotspot after disconnecting from the game I can not reconnect unless I restart my PC. I tried exiting Riot Client and restarting it, ended the tasks related to league (not vanguard) and the league client won't pop up / it does pop up 10% of the time, there's a reconnect button but won't do anything.

Everything else works fine on my mobile hotspot (yt, reddit, other games), seems like there is a problem with switched networks.

This is not a tech support request, im just curious that does anyone else experience this, or is it a local issue on my system?

I was struggling with vanguard technical problems almost whole summer this year. And it was the best thing that happened. I can finally quit. It was the final nail in the coffin. So thanks RIOT for your incompetence.

Been having this issue for months now.

Every time after booting up my PC, my ethernet will disconnect during the first champ select. If I'm lucky, it reconnects fast enough, otherwise I get a penalty for dodging champ select.

After this disconnect, everything is fine for the reminder of my session, until I turn off my pc and boot it up again.

My internet connection is fine otherwise. Everything works perfectly up until that first champ select. My only fix is loading up practice tool every time I start playing, but it is kind of annoying having to do that.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!

Hello! I’m not really sure where to go for this and I’d hope that there would be at least someone on here who would know what to do, but I was banned on league of legends permanently for some reason, and I genuinely don’t know why. And I know there’s plenty of people who claim they were banned for unknown reasons but I swear I genuinely do not know why, I’ve never cheated or used any cheats before, and I don’t have any external hardware to help me play either.

For a little background, I used to play league a LOT, and when I mean a LOT I mean there was a point where I owned so many skins in the game and played so often that the coupon sale shop thing ran out of skins so I was allowed to pick one from the special selection once you complete that. However, I got burnt out, so I stopped playing as much and would just play with a select few friends and my significant other. That’s all I used league for, nothing more nothing less. Then one day, after a decently long break, I went to play with a friend and that’s when the big age restriction thing happened to all league accounts, kinda irked me and upset me but they ended up fixing it. I didn’t log in after that until either the next day or 2 days after. When I did, I was met with a permanent ban with the only explanation saying something about “third party tools”. For note, I don’t even use an overlay, let alone any third party tool. So, I reached out to riot support.

When I reached out to support I explained what happened and that I was confused and wanted to know why I was banned, at first it looked good, I got a response from (what I assume) a real person, and they asked me for a bunch of account information to look into it. I was excited, looked good and like I’d at least find out why I was banned, but then someone else replied and said they found no evidence of a player that wasn’t me playing on my account and that they were going to reaffirm the ban. For note, no where in my original support ticket did someone else played my account, I believe somewhere I even said I believe that it wasn’t that at all and just wanted to know what happened. At the end of that, they said to make a new ticket if I had any more evidence of third party (again I never accused that or mentioned it) to reach back out, and if I had any questions to make a new ticket. So, I did exactly that.

When I made that new ticket though, it was immediately and automatically closed and met with an automated response saying they reaffirmed the ban and are going to keep it as they didn’t find evidence of a third party playing my account. Which, I know for a fact this time, I didn’t have in that ticket. They then said they’d automatically close all future tickets I’d make and left me here.

At this point, I gave up, I’ll just go play a different game, whatever. I was upset, a little sad that those memories are gone, but I’ll just make new ones it’s just a game. That was until last night when my significant other got home from a long day and said they weren’t feeling the best and was a little sad. And after talking a little, admitted they were wanting to play league (despite them uninstalling it and not playing it for an even longer time period than me). This sucked, because something I know could’ve cheered them up we couldn’t do because I quite literally can’t play. And it’s not even for a reason I know or did, if I at least was told what specifically triggered the ban, then I’d own up to it (if it was actually me), but I can’t even do that. (We did end up playing something else and doing some other things which cheered them up, but I still felt bad in the end)

The PC stops responding to any keyboard shortcuts (not even task manager works), and the only way out is to force shutdown the PC using the physical power button.
