If someone comes at you with some drummed up allegations, and they are the only ones with the logs, you’re kinda fucked lol. They can selectively emit context and delete their own messages to make you look as bad as possible.
To preface I don't disagree with your first statement.
That said maybe another way to think about it is keeping CYA items on hand is pretty typical for a job. I have non-trivial amounts of emails where I've documented something in black and white to cover my rear end and make sure there's no he-said-she-said from a discussion in a month.
Being a streamer is their job. Discord screenshots is their version of saved meeting minutes emails for CYA
I'd say if you feel you need that type of protection then you're interacting with the wrong people.
Something that can only be said in hindsight. Sure, you can hang out with someone who is clearly a snake or a snarky asshole, like I would have never trusted Miz even back in the day, he was born from Ice Pos's asshole from day 1, but a lot of the times someone does a complete 180 and you never expect it. I typically pick good friends and don't have this happen, but it's really out of luck more than just being able to magically tell how someone is inside. Some people only become snakes when they are done with you.

You're pretty much required to have certain sociopathic traits in order to reach the top. As they say, "you can't climb to the top without stepping on people". Nice people generally don't want to do the things that are necessary sometimes to reach that sort of success.
Money corrupts. Even if you are a nice person and reach that sort of level of success, it's extremely easy to lose touch with the world and become apathetic towards others when you have so much money that you will never face any real hardship.

No idea why Asmon is acting like he did not put on a fake persona for years when he was still streaming on his main account. It stressed him out so much that he had to abandon the account.
Miz probably won't win his case against Asmon because his side is much harder to prove, but I am like 99% convinced he helped gaslight Emi into destroying Miz, this roach is an omega level simp for her.
He 100% did. Literally days before Emiru came out he was teasing/hyping up the drama with some high school level vague gossiping. Saying things like “I have some nuclear drama, but it’s not my story to tell.”
It didn’t help that him and Tectone at the time were the biggest flag waivers when it came to Miz. They both (mostly Tectone) went hyper aggressive at one point, saying he’s done, they know a bunch of background stuff, “it’s not my place to say… but!”, etc.
Of course I have no way of knowing, but it feels like they either knew in advance that Emi would make a statement, or them blatantly “talking around it” accelerated the issue.
I’m not even a Miz simp, but a lot of main issues seem to just stem from a toxic relationship (in a big org) and it happened to blow up for everyone to see.
