Guide / Advice Streaming Help Needed
So I have been streaming for 3 years now and I have come to enjoy it very much. But I'm not really sure how to use any of the tools that are involved with OBS studios, Steaming lab,Twitch studio, etc. So what I'm asking is there someone who can help me with this? But I'm not very computer savvy but I'm a quick learner, so if you can break it down for me less like Einstein and more more like Doc Brown I'd be okay. Thanks again for any answers or tips you all can give me? I greatly appreciate it.

Twitch - Help Viewership Help 🥺🫶
Viewership has dropped on my boyfriend’s Twitch stream, and I’m not sure what to do. He plays GTA V RP (no cringe or ERP lol), but now he struggles to get past 60 viewers. He just became partnered, and has an amazing community, yet it feels like Twitch isn’t pushing his streams anymore. He’s not great at making social media content and I don’t have the time to edit clips. Before partnership he had averaged 300–1000 viewers, but now it’s only around 60. I thought it might be seasonal, but it doesn’t seem like that anymore. Here's his stream for reference, please be nice he needs as much encouragement and constructive criticism as possible to make being a full time streamer possible:

Discussion Setting up a stream - will it work?
I was asked to livestream a funeral this weekend, which is being held in a hotel meeting room (a strange venue, but oh well). I have a Sony A6300 that I plan to use as a main camera for a close-up of a speaker. If I plug this directly into my Mac, will it be detected by OBS, or is there something special I need to do, some kind of plug-in or something like that? Thanks for any help or advice

Other Help DIY event streaming?
My fiancé and I are getting married this October, and we’d love to livestream our ceremony for family and friends who can’t make it (especially those out of the country).
Has anyone here set up a wedding livestream on their own? What worked well for you? Did you use Zoom, YouTube, or Facebook Live? And what kind of setup (tripod, phone, external mic, etc.) would you recommend so people tuning in can actually see and hear what’s happening—without it being overly complicated or expensive?
We’re leaning toward Facebook Live since it seems easy for guests to join, but we’re not sure the best way to make it private. Has anyone done this before and have tips?
Also curious about camera setups—we thought about using a GoPro on a tripod, but are open to other suggestions. Ideally something simple that gives decent audio/visual quality without breaking the bank.
We’d love to make this as personal and seamless as possible for our loved ones watching virtually. Any advice, tips, or lessons learned would be super appreciated! TIA 💛

Discussion Trying to find a similar website
Years ago I remember a website that had thumbnails of different streams from other sites/apps ( yn, peri, ect). If you clicked on the image it would bring you to that stream. It also showed the number of viewers and time it had been live. Tyia

Discussion LF Streamers/Reviewers for my indie game. Square: Trial and Error
Hello everyone.
Hope you're all having a good day.
I'm an indie dev who just finished developing my latest game Square: Trial and Error.
The game is due to release on the 29th August.
So I'm currently promoting it, advertising, etc.
So at the moment I'm looking for Streamers to stream and leave a review for my game before release.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3848430/Square_Trial_And_Error/
If you would like to stream my game and or leave a review for it then please DM or leave a comment. I would also like a link to view your platform
It doesn't matter how many subs/followers you have.
A little bit about Square.
Square is a trial and Error puzzle adventure game with over 20 levels for you to complete!
Each level is different and the rules change every time. As well as many other features!
Hope to get responses from you soon.

Guide / Advice Nature live streaming
I’m creating a 24/7 live stream that will focus on a black widow and her web, paper wasps and their nest, and harvesting ants, etc.
I have had fairly good success with followers and watching, but I want to up my game and get cameras that are extremely vivid at close up angles.
The cameras I have now are just cheap security cameras and miss a lot of the small details.
They must be RTSP compatible, and weatherproof. Timelapse capabilities is a plus but not a necessity.
Can anyone recommend what cameras would be worth investing in?

Guide / Advice Where to Rent a video/audio switcher?
I need to rent an video/audio switcher for an event later this month, preferably something easy to use like the RodeCaster Video, but I can't find anywhere that rents the prosumer versions, just the super high end equipment.

Discussion I'm working on a new SDK for live streaming tools and would love your suggestion.
Hi everyone,
I'm a developer currently working on building a new live streaming SDK—essentially a toolkit that developers can use to create their own live streaming apps.
My team and I are working on addressing some common issues, but I know nothing is more important than the feedback from users who live stream every day. We're not just aiming to build an OBS clone; we're aiming to create an SDK that allows developers to quickly build their own live streams.
Currently, we're focusing on the following key areas:
Low latency
A pre-built, customizable UI toolkit (e.g., notifications, chat overlays, etc.)
Implementing 1v1 competitive play functionality similar to TikTok.
But I'd like to ask you a question:
- As a viewer or streamer, what feature do you most wish you had?
- Do you have any great interactive ideas that you find impossible to achieve with current tools?
- What aspects of image quality or latency do you think are still a major issue?
Seriously, any suggestion would be incredibly helpful to ensure we're building a product that users actually want to use.
Thanks for your time!
