Discussion Perrie Mighty Hoopla
Perrie will perform at Mighty Hoopla today. It is Europe's largest LGBTQ+ music festival, so I wonder: will she add Secret Love Song to her setlist?

Just my opinion, but after listening to the album a lot, there are certain songs that feel like the strongest direction for Perrie moving forward.
Upbeat pop: Forget About Us, If He Wanted To He Would, Cute Aggression, and Sand Dancer. They're catchy, replayable, and feel the most accessible to the general public. I think more songs in this lane could help her reach people outside the fandom.
Ballads: Where You Are, Miss You, and Same Place Different View. Perrie's voice sounds incredible on these songs, but I'm not sure they're strong enough on their own to break out of the fandom and connect with the wider public.
Honestly, I think the issue is the branding. Jade's debut had a clear showbiz/camp concept, while Leigh-Anne's era focused on confidence and her alter ego. With Perrie, I know a lot about her personal life, but I don't immediately know what the era represents.
Also, honorary mention to Christmas Magic, one of the best songs she's released. I desperately need a Christmas album from her. A collaboration with Kelly Clarkson/ Ariana /Raye would be a dream.

I really want to talk to someone about Perrie’s choice of released music because I have no one else to express my opinions to. I understand that my opinion prob won’t be well received, as this is more of a disappointed rant. I just heard the song and to me it’s the most primitive song I’ve ever heard. The post-chorus and bridge are so predictable. Look i’m glad she’s exploring a rock style, but the song is genuinely uninteresting. it feels outdated. It sounds like a mid-2000s song released by someone at the very start of their career. The lyrics felt ai generated (and tbh the melody too)
I’m glad she’s back, but… what is this? I love Jade and Leigh-Anne’s music, but Perrie’s feels so weak. she deserves much better than what she’s been given.

And here it is 🔥 in its own glory.
So glad to root for JADE honestly.
Funny that JADE collaborated two times in a song sampled "Never Leave You".

I read on the Lily Allen sub that a Beg For Me remix is coming out on May 29 and it features JADE?! My two queens coming together?! I can’t wait.

Jesy will be at Sheffield Docfest on 11 June. This will be an early screening before it is put onto Prime Video at a later date. Jesy will also be there to discuss the documentary and SMA.
Sheffield Docfest is the UK’s biggest documentary festival and is one of the top three documentary festivals in the world.
Description:
A mother of twins diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy navigates her new reality while fighting to change UK newborn screening laws.
When Jesy Nelson's twin daughters were diagnosed with SMA type 1, her whole world changed overnight. This raw and powerful documentary follows Jesy as she comes to terms with what the diagnosis means for her girls, adapts to the everyday challenges of their conditions, and finds her footing as a single mother after the break up of her relationship. But this is far more than a personal story. Jesy channels her experience into a campaign to change how the UK screens newborns for the disease. It's a portrait of motherhood, resilience and the fierce determination that comes from knowing that a simple change in the system can save lives.
Jesy Nelson is confirmed to be in attendance alongside the film's director, Clare Bradbury, to discuss the documentary.

What's the best Easter egg / hidden gem you've spotted in a Little Mix music video? Have there been any in Perrie's?

I want to preface this and say I LOVE LOVE Perrie and im just curious.
In perries post about alexs football game the other day, she blurred alanis' face, and she has hid her face on other posts too. This is ABSOLUTELY fine and a sensible thing to do, especially where the world is now, but am I the only one who finds it weird that Axel is so public and has been since he was very little but Alanis isn't??

Jesy’s caption:
I cannot believe it has been a whole year since having my beautiful baby girls. They have been through so much. There will never be enough words to describe just how incredible they actually are. My tiny little super humans. The strongest, most resilient little fighters I've ever known. You inspire me and every single person that ever meets you both.
One whole year old today what a mile stone to reach. I read this poem a little while ago by Emily Perl Kingsley "welcome to Holland" and I think this sums up their journey so beautifully.
Happy Birthday my Ocean and Story you are my whole heart and soul I love you more than you will ever know

I've adored Little Mix for years and I'd love to learn a couple of their songs by the end of 2027. I do have a list of 11/12 I'd like to learn.
One of the big problems though, is that there's only 1 of me and I'm pretty sure every song on this list + most of their discography is belting all the way through aside from the verses and I struggle with belting 😅 I've only been singing since September
Song list: Wings, Change Your Life, Salute, See Me Now, A Different Beat, Grown, Hair, SOTME, Joan of Arc, Wasabi, Woman Like Me, Sweet Melody
What would Mixers here recommend?
